Iwannabeinvegas- live from Vegas.

I leave Tuesday at 8am for Vegas. Today is a day of relaxing and tomorrow will consist of getting a hair cut, laundry and packing.

My trip is twofold, I want to sure see and get tons of photos and gamble.

The stay will be tues and Wed night at the flamingo and Thursday at the nugget in a rush tower room.

I will be posting updates as I go along, anything like big wins will be posted on Twitter, I can be followed, name on Twitter is steveh552

I plan on meeting up with tuna and a couple others from this board. I have a lot of free and match plays to use and may see a show.

Update: I used the earlybird check in on SWA and was given an A34 pass. The plane is sold out, but I am sure that will guarntee me a window seat, I am sure I will not have an exit row, but that is ok.

I have some movies loaded up on the computer to watch, dont think I will be watching any Vegas movies on my way, but I will watch Little Fockers. I have some podcast loaded up on my phone (which will be in airplane mode) to listen to as I relax looking out the window.

I plan on leaving my house no later than 3am, going to Steak N Shake for my normal pretrip meal. That will get me to the airport no later than 430am after going through the parking. Granted that is early for my 8am flight, but I want to ensure that I have plenty of time incase of traffic delays (as in some drunk wrecking their car blocking my road) or any other issues.

I will post live updates on this thread and on Twitter as well. I will be honest, I am not a twitter person, I signed up for it due to a suggestion on this board as a way for others to follow my trip (so I would not have to have a bunch of strangers on my facebook).

So I still have a todo list:
Haircut
Laundry (half done)
go to the bank
pack
charge camera
double check everything is packed
take child to grandpas
get some sleep

all in no specific order.

Have a great time, we just returned.... Twitter flaked out on me, when we landed, so I didnt / couldnt post to twitter and only posted to facebook, since most of my friends are there. But I plan on following you on twitter!

We had an amazing time, and I'm already itching to go back again.....

I'm not concerned
if Twitter flakes, I only have it for trip purposes. The app I have cross post between my Twitter and Facebook so I can keep both updated. First post will come upon my arrival at the airport and getting through security, may post when I leave for fun.

I have everything packed and double checked, only taking part of my bank roll in cash, the rest will be gotten if needed from the atm, i just feel safer not having all of my cash in one place. I have two id's and I'm keeping one locked in the safe as well.

So here I am sitting at the airport awaiting my flight. I'm glad I got here early so that I can watch how the flight before me boards, iv never used this southwest boarding system. I got through security very quickly, no virtual strip search or molestation, oops pat down. Flight leaves at 8am local time and arrives 945 Vegas time.

I decided not to bring my laptop but I did load some movies into my phone, bought a paper and have plenty of music and podcast. Had a very hard time sleeping but I did get a couple hours.

Will update later on.

Edit to add: we get the Nevada state plane.

Not a good start, the plane is grounded due to maintenance issues and so they have to send another plane. I use to love southwest, its not so today. The gate agent is not being helpful and im stuck in Columbus

Thanks for taking the time and effort to provide these updates on your trip. No doubt about it, there are lots of folks here that will be hanging on every word, myself included.
Man, you're worse than me about getting to the airport on time, lol I get there well ahead of schedule, too, in case of accidents, etc. on the way,

I feel bad! Looks like it was a 5 hour delay which is a crappy way to start. I hope everything falls into place and you shake it off and have a wonderful time. You deserve to win really big now!
