The STRAT will always have a special place in my heart...

Summer before last I stopped by with family and while all were upstairs on the rides I stayed in the casino. I found one of those multi-pointer wheel of fortune knock off machines (a special bonus window indicates whether any bonus is counted for one, two or three pointers) and had a great time with it. On an early roll, I bonused two pointers and pulled $350 from the quarter machine. The crowd in the area was wonderful and very supportive of my win, even though it wasn't that big a number.

Anyway, that certainly paid for our rides at Strat as we left before I had the chance to plow it all back !!

Had a long day of gambling today.
Held my own for hours and then got stupid.
Forgot to eat again (not that skipping a few
meals will hurt me) and now I have a damn
    Headache. Silly woman.

Waiting for Phantom of the Opera to start!
Got a nice seat from Tix4Tonite for $80!

Hope you feel better by show time. I too don't respect meal hours in Vegas but use those times when my luck has gone missing to refuel. Too much to get done in Vegas to worry about three squares a day....

Sorry I am falling behind on my reporting. Time is flying by!

After spending yesterday afternoon at the M Resort, I ended up coming back to the room and taking a nap. My nap lasted til 8 o'clock this morning  I guess I can't keep up the pace anymore.

I headed out this morning planning to go to Flamingo and Paris for some CET gambling, but I stopped at Tix4Tonite and got a ticket to Phantom. Then I decided I wanted to get the best available seat, so I trotted right back here to go to the box office. I guess I am lazy, because I never set foot outside Venetian/Palazzo for the rest of the day.

I had a $20 TITO from the other night, and that lasted me a good couple of hours at Venetian. Once that finally evaporated, between Venetain and Palazzo I blew through what was left from previous day's budget and almost of today's over the course of the next 5 hours. I should have stopped and had lunch and got my head on straight but I was in the zone. Too bad it wasn't a winning zone!

I got myself upstairs in time to get ready for Phantom (thank God I had that ticket or I would probably have blown the rest of my bankroll). I had a first row mezzanine seat and it wasn't bad at all. I loved the show, and it was just as well that F was at Blue Man with his work people beacause he wouldn't have enjoyed it so much.

After the show I decided to play $20 before going back to the room. I know what you're thinking, but you're wrong! I hit a $200 bonus on my second or third spin and followed it up with another $90 in no time. Then I got cocky and sat in my favorite SATC seat and lost $20 in about 12 spins. (I have a love/hate relationship with that game unfortunately.) I actually walked away, though and patted myself on the back. Still well down for the day, but not down and out!

I grabbed a sandwich to go from grand lux (finally about to eat for the first time today), but to my surprise F was already in the room and wanted to go grab a bite. I tossed the sandwich and we headed over to St Mark's Square to try Mario Batalli's pizzeria. The atmosphere was perfect and the wine was great. I had a pancetta, carmelized onion and goat cheese pizza. It was yummy but overpriced at $20 - probably seemed more so since I barely managed to eat half of it. F had pasta putanesca and it was only okay. I don't think I would go back unless it was to split a salad and a pizza maybe.

Foolishly I decided to hit the slots for a 'few minutes' on the way back. I was down fast, but then I tried one of bucket's Top Dollar machines and managed to get it back. Back in the room F was already snoozing so I am sitting almost in the dark typing this!

I'm not sure what I will do tomorrow. It is supposed to be another nice day (did I mention we got a foot and a half of snow in New Hampshire yesterday :Þ) so I will definitely take advantage of the opportunity to be outside!

yeah - you missed a lot of fun back here!

    blizzards and drifts too...

Schools all cancelled – luckily my boy goes to a school that’s nearly all electronic and the teachers sent out the lessons. So he had the pleasure of shoveling and school work!

Hope you have someone looking after your place – or your return will start with clearing the drive!!!

Enjoy the weather there and good luck with the gambling!

Famous last words on many of my trips, oh yes, forgot to eat today. Everything tastes better after a couple margaritas anyway.

Yesterday I had to find the CVS that F called in a prescription to. Too bad he gave me the address of the wrong CVS :rolleyes2: Mission accomplished and I decided to check out Sam's Town. It was really cute, but I was for sure the youngest person in the place. I ended up with 3 entries for a slot tournament, a ticket to a variety show and an entry into some drawing. I made the list from the tournament so ended up hanging around spending money to find out I missed the cut off for the $25 in slot play. Guess I fell right into that little marketing trap! I did find 9/6 JOB for the first time on this trip. It was the first time I played, but it wasn't kind to me. All in All I got the feeling it was visiting day at the nursing home at Sam's. Although I don't think I would go back on my own, if I bring my mother to Vegas (she is beginning to have mobility issues), I might stay there with her. It seems pretty compact and easy to get around.

We got a kick out of Big Elvis. He has a great voice. From there we headed over to Flamingo and then F had to go back for his team dinner. I stayed and played for awhile but nothing was happening and I didn't really love the vibe. As I wandered back up the Strip I thought I would check out IP to see if it was as bad as I remembered. When I got there I had a sudden flash of brilliance. Why not check out the Divas of Las Vegas Show? My timing was perfect and I ended up seated at a VIP table about 6 feet from the stage. Frank Marino was spot on as Joan Rivers and was funny as hell. I had a blast! Where else but Las Vegas can you sit watching men play dress up and lip sync andenjoy every minute of? But where the heck do they put it

I stopped at Harrah's to try my luck on the way back, but there was no luck to be had. Drink service was also hard to come by, so I gave it up and came home. Have you been in Vegas too long when you start to think of your suite as home?

Today I think I will check out Tix4Tonite to see what I can find for tonight since F will be free after 5. I think I will take myself to Hash House A GoGo for lunch. After that, who knows?

It's great reading your trip report. My MIL lives in NH, too. She said that she wishes she was back here in AZ again, too much snow. We plan on ckecking out M Resort this summer. We'll have a car because we will be driving there. My husband hates to drive in LV. He always has me drive because he feels that I'm more familiar with LV. I read maps and directions before we go. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

I think I will try this when I get there. And I have a Flip video cam, so I can shoot some videos and post them daily in addition to my commentary.
