    My Trip Report

My lovely wife and I went the Treasure Island for a 3 day gambling trip December 26-29. This was a basic trip for us.

    1) We had an offer: 3 nights in a comped Suite, $450 in Freeplay, and $250 in Food. This included the check-in in the VIP lounge. When my wife checked in for her Freeplay, they gave her the $450, plus $200 for her birthday (in December) and then a bonus $150 for a total of $800. We are not sure why we received the bonus –but we were not complaining. She turned that Freeplay into about $600 in real money (after several minutes of play) and split with me –I have a very nice wife!
    2) We arrived via first class flight via Delta. The trip was smooth and we arrived very early in the morning. Once again we had an equipment change and they even changed us to an earlier flight. We were told they were using a bigger aircraft to make up for the cancelled flights the day before – not sure, but we got the 767 they normally use for international flights –our seats basically turned into beds! It made for a great trip out. (This happened once before to us!)
    3) We stored the luggage on arrival and spent a couple of hours gambling before heading to check-in. We did not try the $20 trick this time. We were happy with our offer. We received a Petite Suite on the top floor (Floor 36) with a view of the Strip looking over at the Trump Tower and mountains – you can see some of the hotels towards The STRAT . Without a doubt it was a nice room with a nice view and the bed was wonderful. We just love the idea of the two bathrooms!
    4) We ate at the following places: Canters Deli, TI Coffee Shop (3 times for Breakfast), TI Dishes, and Gilley’s. We really enjoy the BBQ at Gilley’s. The view of the strip from Gilley’s is great. Definitely worth the stop!
    5) We did go shopping at the Fashion Show Mall -since is so nicely located next to TI. We also went over to the Mirage to do about 4+ hours gambling and get some candy at the Sugar Factory. Otherwise we were gambling at TI. No issues with the tram service.
    6) My wife and I did nothing but slots. As far as slots go: my wife likes Goldfish 2, Enchanted Unicorn, Zeus, Plataea, and Zeus II (and others). We both had great runs at times (numerous jackpots or hits for $400+). I play just about anything on the slots -but like Goldfish 2, Money Storm, Invaders from the Planet Moolah, Frog Princess, and Alien (Mirage). I tried the new Airplane game - it was as cheap as the movie!
    7) TI has a daily slot tournament. Once you earn 200 points you get a free two minutes on a tournament machine and your scores are posted. They award $250 free play for first place. I won one day (12/28). I posted a score of 4206. My Freeplay was waiting on my card the next morning!
    8) Drink service was very good at TI and Mirage.
    9) Good experiences with the cab drivers - no attempts to take the tunnel.
    10) Took advantage of the VIP lounge - they offer free drinks and snacks throughout the day - The soda are in cans so - we go in a couple of times a day to grab a soda and cookie!
    11) No resort fee for comped guests - but you can take advantage of the "free" stuff - we did not.
    12) I did visit the Salon for a mani/pedi. I do this each trip. Great service, but the best part was I used a Groupon that I learn about from this board and saved a little $$$.
    13) No shows this trip
    14) During this trip, my wife earned about 16,000+ slot points and I earned 8,500+ slot points.
    15) We checked out Wednesday morning around 9 am and headed to the airport. We did a little last minute shopping and gambling. The Security Line was not too bad!
    16) Hope to go back this Spring (Late March) We will wait to see what the offers are and make plans we they start coming in.

If you have any questions -I will gladly answer

Hey Coach - that was an awesome TR, full of so much information! It sounds like you guys had a great time & did really well. I am not really slot savvy - what denomination are those machines you mentioned? What did you think of Canters?

Nice report and glad you had a good trip. How would you rate the T.I. experience since the Takeover? Better or worse than MGM?

I would say it is about the same-- maybe a bit better on a few items especially cocktail service.

    Great Report!

I need to get over to TI and update my playerscard.... I signed on when they were still under the MGM umbrella, just haven't had a chance to get back there yet to get a new card lol
I wouldn't mind a few offers like the one you got hehe

    Sounds like a fun trip

I would kill to be able to fly from NYC to LAS on a 767 in first class!! I hate that almost all flights inside the US are 737 or smaller.

    What a pleasant trip!
I didn't know TI had a VIP lounge.
What do you have to do be qualified to use it?

    Thanks for sharing.

Not sure -we qualify sometimes automatically because of our play and other times when we dont we always ask the host for it before going on the trip.

I love the TI but i could tell a big difference in the casino from our trip back in june, i'll have to say i didn't like the casino as much as our 3 other trips, they put the wheel of fortune machines in a circle in the corner where you couldn't even see them, not alot of quarter machines and it didn't pay off all week..... maybe it was just us! We played at Mirage the most of the time it was hitting pretty good over there and lot's of fun! they have all of the wof machins lined up so it's more fun if there is alot of you wanting to play together..... But hey that's just my opinion ! Hell it's vegas can't grip to much!!

sounds like a great trip. I will have to try TI slots for a while this trip. Wandered through once a few trips ago, dropped a 20 into a random penny slot, just fooling around and hit for 300, cashed out, took some pics of the motorcycle they have there, and went on my merry way.
Dont normally favor the slots on the strip, but TI just might be the play.

    GREAT report. THANK YOU :peace:
