    My Trip Report

Going to try a live TR via my I phone. Have to get thru work today. Last night had a broker dinner at Del Frisco's. Ate and drank my weight in red meat and grey goose. Had to take a cab home and little sleep. Not the best way to start a Vegas trip but let's just call it pregaming for the real thing.

Quick plans fri night ny ny, sat- race check in and using the free $200 loss promo for new members at the trop sun- race then M Resort for 98 draft beers at 32 degree. Then XS open bar party for race finishers.

A lot more will have but these are just the basics. Now for someone to make it 4 pm so I can leave for the airport.

    You to.

I have done the race every year since it started in 2005.

On a side note this is my 20ish trip in the last 10 years.

I'll pass that along to my wife, she's running it, i'm just in the cheering section

Ever go to the expo they have the day before? Was trying to gauge how big the one in Vegas is, sounds like tons of stuff, might end up spending Sat at the Sands just checking it all out

    Expo

In years past the expo has been big but held at MB. This is the first year it is at sands. I expect it to just as big. She could spend an hour or so shopping.

    Airport

Sitting at the airport bar drinking a couple large Sam Adams drafts. I have 4 capt Morgan rum airplane bottles in my carry on the add to my cokes during the flight. That way I can hit the ground running.

Jman I hope you guys make it.

Just landed. Ended up with 5 beers at the airport bar. 4 free rum and cokes on the plane. A $8 roast beef sandwich and a $7 bud to wash it down. Waiting to "the boss da plane, da plane". Still feeling sober though.

Carry on only so hope to be at ny ny in the next hour.

    Pour 24

Checked in. Basic room on the 6th floor park ave deluxe. Not bad for 54, 54 and free plus resort fee. Late arrival fri and race sun with early dep mon means little room time. Clean, modern although a little small.

Resort fee includes 2 free drinks and good for beer at pour 24. So I sat at the bar had my coupon and a $1 out and order a Stone ruination ipa. Success! This is a $6-7 pint beer. Watching fb and will drink
    my 2 beers before gambling

Don't worry about not having enough sleep for the half marathon. It's a proven fact distance runners can function fine without optimal sleep.
I can attest to that myself. A couple years ago, prior to running the Chicago half, I could not get to sleep the night before, but ended up running my best time ever.
    You'll be fine.
Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the race afterwards.
