    My Trip Report

So, I called my wife on the last day of the March Madness trip while purchasing shark tooth necklaces for the boys. I asked if she knew why the lines were so long at the Shark Reef in Mandalay Bay. She said there was a new hammerhead shark.

When I returned home, we started discussing our annual April trip. Last year it was Seattle, and Washington DC the year before. After she had a private conversation with my oldest son, it was unanimous that this years trip would be Vegas.

Within the first 5 minutes of returning to work since the madness trip, I had my PTO form filled out and signed by the GM. So next I booked connecting rooms at the Monte Carlo for April 11 through the 14th. Woo Hoo!! Going back!!

That evening I explained our trip to my wife. She asked why we weren't arriving until Sunday, since I had taken Saturday off. Well, bless her heart, she talked me into making a reservation at the Las Vegas Club for Saturday night the 10th. The web page shows it booked, but a call to Calvin Mack, the casino manager, netted me a comped room. That's cool, because he explained that I was a few hours short and a few bucks per bet shy of their requirement for a gratis room.

I called and booked Jim for a strip tour with my 3 boys and wife. I also called my Vegas babysitter, and confirmed her to watch the kids while we go to Zumanity on Sunday night. I managed to get a full size rental with free upgrade through Thrifty at Salt lake City airport. 129.00 for the week. Airfare was (is) 450.00 a shot out of Jackson Hole, so we will drive a bit cramped to SLC, and transfer to the rental to complete the trip. The car, room cost, and Zumanity tickets only cost about 1.5 airline tickets, so I am ok with the drive.

This one will be slightly more sane than the last trip, but I already told wifey that I have to play the poker tourney every morning at Mandalay Bay. I'll spend most days roasting my pasty white Idaho flesh at the pool with my boys. They are half fish...

We will terrorize the MSS brunch buffet, and have our pre show dinner at Sir Gallahad's at Excalibur. It may not sound great, but the food is above average with a salad my wife craves. I shouldn't even go close to that city until at least summer, but I will make the sacrifice so my wife can get a salad fix.

Sir Galahad's is awesome! A gem in the middle of... well, you know, the Excalibur! [IMG]

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Baz, please accept my most humble apology, if indeed I am wrong.
However, are we expected to accept a pre-trip report for your next trip, Monsieur "Baz", before we get a report from your "Tales of the Zootch @ March Madness" report? I must say, sir, I am, hahem, a bit miffed. Hopefully not mistakenly.
    ;)

My trip report will be a bunch of one liners, that will follow THE trip report from Mikey. I am no good at trip reports, but do feel I should contribute in some way. I did post a mid trip report back a ways. Here it is.
