    My Trip Report

Okay, I came home for lunch today to find Brandy trying on clothes and packing. We still have a whole 17 days before we arrive in Vegas. I think she is getting a little ancy, don't ya think?

Anyways, to match her mood I thought I would give a little pre trip report.
Notice the following is our list of "want to do's" and may change at any time without further notice.
This is going to be one of our cheaper trips due to some untimely car repairs and the fact that we kinda went crazy for our kids at christmas. We have stocked up on our coupons and we also got some great hotel deals being that we are arriving on the morning of SuperBowl Sunday. First night will be at LVC ($29) and second and third nights will be at the Golden Nugget. ($49 pn)
    Our "want to do's" are:
    Superbowl party (somewhere dt hopefully)
Riviera comedy club (2 for 1)
Viva Las Vegas (price of 2 drinks)
    American superstars (2 for 1)
    Elvis a Rama (2 for 1)
    Gamblers General Store
    Big Elvis
Ellis Island (alot of coupons for free drinks)
    Madame Tussaud's (2 for 1)
Spa at Golden Nugget ($20 off)
Dinner at Mon Ami Gabi (Paris)
    Dinner at Margaritaville (Flamingo)
    Buffet at Orleans(2 for 1)
Buffet at Golden Nugget (2 for 1)
    Dinner at Center Stage (Plaza)
AND ALOT OF GETTING DRUNK AND GAMBLING (not necessarily in that order)

And if I have time I will case dt for the midget hookers for Mikey,Bazotch and the gang.

Billy, It sounds like a handfull of fun. I know you are planning on using coupons from ACG. Have you figured out how to carry the book around all day with out losing it. I was planning on just cutting them out until I read here they would not be honored. That's put a crimp on it because my wife carries a very small purse, just enough for her ID and money.

    Billy,

I missed doing the Dinner at Mon Ami Gabi (Paris)
because I did not make reservations. Think about dinner reservations. Are you bringing a cell phone? If yes, bring some phone numbers with you.

    Hey....

Only Bazootch is obsessed with the midget hooker. I'd prefer a regular-sized one, thanks. ;)

Of course, last trip I didn't get propositioned at all. Could've had something to do with Hoya standing right behind me. Well, that, and any chick looking to earn a decent living probably wouldn't be hanging out at the LV Club...

    Mikey :D

I may have been standing behind you, Mikey, but I was also draped over my husband--can't blame me this time :D You could've had Dora anytime you wanted--I think you're just being picky [IMG]

Billy--I was going to make some comment about you walking in on your wife trying on clothes, but I remembered you have 4 kids so clearly you don't need any encouragement ;)

No I havn't. I'm going to leave that up to my wife. [IMG]

Yes, I have made reservations and yes I am bringing a cell phone. Thanks for the advice. Thats a good idea to program what Vegas #s I'll need in my cell phone. I think I'll do that.

    Mikey,
Sorry that I added you to Bazootch's Fantasy. Well, there will be no need for me to keep an eye out for you then. Hey, speaking of midget hookers. Did you see the newest Bunny ranch episode on HBO last night. There was actually a midget hooker in it. I thought of Bazootch when I seen her.

    Hoyah,
Your right, No encouragement needed here. We even stopped using the same soap just in case that was what was causing it. ;)

Hi All, I will be leaving in about 13 days, sounds like you have every moment planned for your trip. I do not have coupons, Where is the Viva Las Vegas show? is it at Strat? I would like to see a few inexpensive afternoon shows, there will be six of us girls traveling , one that has not been in 15 years, and a first timer. Plan to see Bottoms up at Flamingo, and do you have any other ideas?

    Billy:

Nice list of things to do; I'm just starting mine.......always seems like there is more to do than time allows. American Superstars is a good show for the money (2for1). Only problem is that I have seen it 3 times with no real changes. I hope to see legends if I can get some kind of break on the price (tickets4tonite?); otherwise I will see it a 4th time with my son.

Viva Las Vegas is a great show for the price.....lots of entertainment for the money and it has changed over the years and my 4 times there. In between shows stop for coffee or dinner at Roxy's Diner also at The STRAT where the cooks, waiters/waitresses, busboys and busgirls all sing and dance. IT is quite a hoot; lots of fun and entertainment. Prices are reasonable too.

Yes Vegas4fun, Viva Las Vegas, American Superstars and Roxy's Diner are all at the Strat.

Have fun! I am hoping to see the wax museum and big Elvis too. Let us know what you thought.

I really cannot PAN Bottoms Up enough (is that a strong enough antonym of "recommend"?) It was SOOOOO bad. Thankfully it wasn't very long and my feet were tired--otherwise, I would have walked out. There are so many better free & cheap afternoon shows to see in Vegas!!!

I would highly recommend taking Jimbo's advice and get the ACG. Iy is full of coupons. I'm planning on saving almost a couple hundred bucks with it. Its got alot of 2 for 1 stuff in it.
As far as reccomending other shows to see for your friends. I think the comedy club at The Riviera is good. Tropicana and Harrahs also has one to. It usually is pretty cheap to get into those and usually alot of fun. Check out the American Casino Guide.(Acg) Here is a site that you can get it for a good price.

Vegas4fun, Inexpensive afternoon shows are Mac King Magic Comedy show at Harrahs and the Ronn Lucas show at the Rio. If you sign up for the players card at either casino you will get vouchers for each show and all you have to do is buy a drink. One of the best values in LV. Also downtown at Fitzgeralds, they have a series of different shows starting around 3:00 pm and running through to the evening where you only need to purchase a drink. Take advantage of all these you can and you will definately get a lot for you dollar. Have Fun, Boomer [IMG]

Thanks all for the great information, I will print off, and take with me. So much to do & see, I usually go to Vegas once a year, but more into playing than doing the shows...six of us gals going this time, so want to take in some afternoon shows. Thanks again,
