Our Trip to Ballys

  1. Just got back from Las Vegas. We stayed at Ballys for three nights on a Discover discount for $47 a night. We had room 7221. It had a nice view of the strip and half of the Bellagio water show. Very affordable but not exactly luxurious. However, for the price it was a steal. The slots were very loose. I hit over $500 on a quarter machine the first night. 4 out of 6 of us hit over $500 and one hit about a total $1500 just on quarters. The other casinos seemed to be a little more crowded but not as much action on the slots. Played at Paris and lost about $60. Ballys is centrally located and although the monorail was closed we were able to walk to Excalibur and the other way to Treasure Island. The breakfast buffet at Ballys Big Kitchen Buffet was really good and well worth the money for about $10 a person. It will keep you full well until dinner time. Sbarros pizza is located by the pool and open until 10:00. The STage Deli serves a lighter breakfast for $4.95 but beware of their coffee. Try Java Coast by the casino instead. The pool was nothing to take a picture of but it was nice to go swimming in after that day we walked up and down the strip. Believe it or not the pool actually closed early one day because it RAINED. Unbelievable right?!?! The hallways and elevators are a little warm but the AC in the rooms really crank and make it cold. I would definitely stay at Ballys again. [IMG] [IMG]

It's being extended all the way up to the Sahara, and it's getting new trains. I believe the old section is getting renovated as well.

Stay in North Tower. It has a better view of the strip. Also with the monorail construction the south tower is extremely noisy. Hope you have a great time and post a winning report
