    My Trip Report

Well I finally made my mind up in what hotels to stay for our december trip.

I was thinking that everybody should share this with me.If anyone has any tips or info for me to obtain the best out of the trip please let me know, I am always hungry for more Vegas info.

    Trip plan in short ;

    Leaving the 19th
    stay one night in Amsterdam
Flight to Chicago with United Airlines.
Switch planes in Chicago to Las Vegas.

the first 4 nights we stay at the Orleans 20th until the 23th.
Then from 24th until 26th we stay at the Paris.
And the 27th and 28th we have booked a suite in the JW Marriot.

My car is rented from Dollar, a 4WD.

I have nothing planned , just we go as it is.
9 days is a lott of time in Vegas, so we will see what we do when were there.

Maybe its even possible to meet people from this NG during our stay.

Well thats the summary from my pre trip report.

    Greetings

    Jan Oelen

Jan, since you're renting a car, are you planning any day trips away from Las Vegas? I would suggest a trip to Zion National Park in southern Utah if you haven't been there. It is about a 3 hour drive from Las Vegas and well worth the time.

Monument Valley would be WAY too long for a day trip but it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been! Laughlin might be worth the trip; I thought London Bridge was kind of a waste of time.

Jan, I'll miss you by a couple of days (I'm in LV December 15-19). I'll try to leave you some money. :D

Its our fourth trip to Vegas , we did do already al the side trips.

And Laughlin , well lets say read my trip report from June.

But I will try to go to Zion again, if the roads permit it.I just love that park.

The reason I rent a 4WD is that they are not so common overhere in the Netherlands.

So on holiday I like to travel in style.

And by the way carrental is off course really cheap in the USA, compared to our country, and also the gasoline, is REALLY cheap. We pay 4 or 5 times that much.

But the real reason I go is off course CHEESECAKE>>>>

    Jan,
If the real reason you go is for the cheesecake, you should try and make a stop in NYNY; not the casino....THE STATE. We all know that the king of all cheesecakes come from NY!! Hands down. Being an ex-yank (not baseball fan (Mets baby), just from new england), there's no place on earth better than NY cheesecake. That can be said about pizza too. Anyway, enjoy your trip to Vegas, and some day try and check out cheesecake USA in the Real city that never sleeps!! NYC Baby! :D
