    My Trip Report

The calendar is finally turning to October, and that means I'll make only 23 more hash marks on the wall of my cubicle before I make my escape to Vegas...

So...Get busy living or get busy dying. That’s damn right. For the fourth time this year, I am guilty of committing a crime—speeding on Highway 93. I doubt they'll toss up any roadblocks for that. Not for an old Vegas addict like me.

I find I am so excited I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it is the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain... I hope I can make it across the dam without running over a pedestrian. I hope to see my casino host and shake his hand. I hope the felt is as green as it has been in my dreams... I hope…

    Mikey :D

T-7 for me mikey. It's a plane for me. So the only driving I have to worry about is to the Airport. It must be bitter sweet living that close to Vegas (4 hours) if I remember. Not sure If I would want it that close.

    Mikey-

I am sure we are in the same boat. T-23 for me. Been reading the "idiots guide to craps" so I dont get that "been left in the cosmic oven too long" look from you.

    I am very disappointed...

I thought SOMEBODY out there would've gotten the whole 'Shawshank' joke...

Oh well, 3 weeks and 1 day. Oh hell yeah. Not long now...

    Mikey-
I certainly got the "shawshank" reference. I just didnt want the bord to know how serious my Vegas addiction truly is. Hi, my name is Doug, and I'm a vegasaholic...

Free rooms, free drinks, and a chance to loose the kids college fund. What more could anybody need???

    Hey Bazootch...

No worries about the craps rookies...I'm sure you'll do fine! Rookies are good luck--we're even bringing one with us.

Landa...I think 4 days is just about right. A 3 day visit, and it passes too quickly. After a 4 day visit I'm ready to come home and sleep for a week and detox my system...

Sounds like a slug of folks will be in town mid October. Were T-7 ourselves.
Friday-head to PGA event daytime and downtown at night
Saturday-College football watching daytime and Strip at night
Sunday-Pro football watching, brunch eating and making the move from Strip to the Orleans for a change in lodging venue.
A lot of crap shooting along the way
