    My Trip Report

The players: Four guys in late 30’s…A, J, P(my brother), and me.

The plan: Leave Tuesday night at 8:45pm out of Philly. We all fly stand-by because A works at airport, I am his “wifeâ€, and the other two bought buddy passes. Depending on the flights Saturday and Sunday, the goal was to leave Sunday morning. But things would change.

    Tuesday, April 13

After all the hype, countdowns, and belligerence, we arrive at the day to leave the miserable real world for Vegas. The plan was for the 4 of us to drive with A to the airport, since he parks in the employee lot without a problem. However, he said he was definitely coming home on Saturday at 11:30 am. So my brother and I planned to go early, get something to eat at the airport, and meet A and J at the gate around 7:30. As we are walking to our gate(A 15) around 5:30, we notice that right next door(A 14) to ours is the 6:00 pm flight just boarding. I look at my brother and say, “Let’s see if this one is available†The guy at the front says “Iâ€ll get you guys a row no problem.†So needless to say, we got on the 6:00 pm flight and beat my friends out there by 3 hours. Of course, they took the last two first class seats on the 8:45 pm because A knew the girl at the gate and took plenty of pictures to rub that in our faces. But it never hurts to split up a foursome when flying stand-by so we knew we did the right thing.

Only problem was that we were STARVING when we got to Vegas. After picking up the car at Advantage (Upgraded from Corolla to a Camry for $5 a day…total car rental, with gas, was $160) Car was a good size for 4 guys each about 6 foot tall, we decided to check into the Monte Carlo immediately then get something to eat at the Pub. Got our rooms…6-225 and 6-227 adjoining AND connecting, but one had a king and the other had 2 queens as that was all they had connecting. No problem, they brought up a rollaway bed for the king room.

If you are going to eat at the pub, STICK TO THE APPETIZERS and/or BURGERS. We ordered 3 appetizers…Onion Rings, Buffalo Chicken Wings, and the 3 different French Fries and they were awesome. The 2 entrees, to put it mildly, sucked. I ordered some sweet chili glazed chicken and my brother ordered some fried chicken with creamed corn or something and both were not very good. To make it worse, they were both very expensive compared to the appetizers. If we could do it again, we would have ordered about 5 or 6 appetizers as they were excellent.

After eating, there was no time to gamble as I get an immediate text after paying the check saying that they were at the airport. Pick them up, hear the long ball-breaking stories about the luxury of first class, how we should have waited, etc, etc. Of course, I had checked the flight available and knew they got the last two FC seats, but I let them have their fun. Drove right back to MC and went to room. There was the usual belligerence about sleeping arrangements, the horrible view, and how pretty much everything I planned sucks, but its all fun and games.

We hit the poker room, A, J and P all get on a 1-2 no limit game, but my braind was fried and I needed the relaxing feeling of putting a hundy into a machine and pushing a button. No thinking for me tonight. It was about 12:30am Vegas time, and I was feeling being up for 24 straight hours since I got up for work at 3:30 the previous morning. But I wasn’t giving up just yet.

Played Wizard of Oz for a while and turned my $100 into $170. Then gave the new Sex and the City slots a shot, figuring I would end up losing the whole ticket, but the girls were very loose tonight and the $170 turned into $300 before I cashed out. Got a few bonus runs, including something where you get 5 free spins, and depending on who you get and how many show up on the reel(15 was the max) you get a certain amount of credits. I hit 11 Samanthas which was 12000 credits or so. As I was cashing out, I didn’t feel the least bit womanly as cash is king and has no gender. Besides, there was a never-ending run of women who would come up to the machine next to me trying out the new cool game and asking me questions so it could have been just another way for a single guy out there to talk to women…being that I am married, that advantage was sort of wasted on me.

Walking over to the ticket machine to cash out my winnings, I notice a $1 slot machine that had 5 lines and looked interesting so I gave it a shot. As I cashed out my $150 ticket 10 minutes later I knew I had made a mistake and that it was time for bed. But hey, least I was up $50 for the night.

    Wednesday, April 14

Throughout the night, I was hearing stories of winning and losing hands as I was half asleep and everyone came back from the poker table one by one. Bad beats…big wins…cocktail girls…dumb players…bad dealers…etc. I don’t remember much, but I know I got a good night’s sleep because I woke up refreshed and ready for my first full day of Vegas…of course, it was only 6am so I had only slept for about 3 hours.

A had been talking about Hash a Go Go for about 2 months, since he had seen it on Man vs Food. He said this was place was awesome, blah blah. So we all went there Wednesday morning for breakfast. It is not a traditional place as they serve breakfast entrees from the midwest or something. I had a dish that was sorta like an omelet, which included scrambled eggs mixed with cheese, onions and bacon. Plus a biscuit with a piece of christmas tree in it and some potatoes. Not bad, but not memorable either. And it left a real bad feeling in my stomach…like I ate a 3 pound rock.

Next stop was Walgreens for some toiletries and to show our immaturity to the locals, who just kinda watch us like we are gorillas in the cage at the zoo. Then we went back to the room to get ready for a Limit Omaha/8 Tourney at the Wynn. What a mistake this was for me. My brother also wanted to play, and he ended up in the final 3. Considering there were only 13 players, we started with 10,000 in chips, and the levels were 30 freaking minutes, I figured this was going to be a five hour tourney at a minimum and I was not wrong. It took 3 hours for someone to get knocked out, I got knocked out in 6th, and my brother went for another 2 hours until almost 6:30. With 13 guys. Ridiculous.

So I went over to the Star Trek machine. Put in a hundy, lost that instantly. My second hundy was down to about $10 when I get a new bonus. I have an online login, but I usually don’t have enough “awards†or whatever they are, to be able to play anything but the first game. However, the machine there at the Wynn had the first 3 games available even after I logged in, so I tried the game with the little warm fuzzies. Got a bonus with a bunch of free spins, hit 13 out of 15 Kirks on a spin and it paid 19900 credits. Woo Hoo. Not only back to even, but up a couple bucks for my time and effort. Decided to cash out at $210 and walked over to my brother to see where he was. Final 3, but because it is Omaha/8, there’s a lot of splitting pots, slow playing, and each guy had about $43,000 in front of him. Why they didn’t just chop it 3 ways I have no idea.

I went over to the Table Games to try my luck at something there. Walked up to a Ultimate Texas Hold’em game. The last time I came, it was see your cards, then bet 5x or 10x. If you bet 5x, the dealer needs a pair or a total of 13 to play. If you bet 10x, the dealer needs a pair or a total of 17 to play. Now it is just 3x and the dealer needs 11 or a pair to play. I proceeded to win or tie 10 straight hands. I went from my $100 buy-in to $500, with a $5 tip every hand I won and another $25 when I got pocket aces that paid a cool $150. So then my brother came up, said they finally chopped it 3 ways, plus tip for dealers. I said I haven’t lost yet so I was waiting until I lost. Tied, won, won, then finally lost on the river, tipped the dealer another $25 and walked away with 5 blacks and 2 greens. Didn’t remember to cash them in, but I figured it was a long trip and I would get back to Wynn. Fast forwarding, we never got back to Wynn, but the Monte Carlo cashed them out without a problem the day we left.

We went back to the Monte Carlo, met my friend A, but J was playing no limit and was winning so he didn’t want to come to dinner. So the three of us headed over to Aria buffet. $30 and well worth it for the king crab legs alone. However, for $30 you really do expect everything to be perfect, or at least nothing to suck and two things really sucked here that night. This was Wednesday night, yet the service left a lot to be desired. We had dirty plates almost the entire dinner. Luckily, we only had 3 and the 4th spot was a nice place for all of our used plates. Didn’t get much on the refills of drinks. And the absolute biggest crime of all was the sushi. It was stale. The rice was hard as a rock, the tuna was terrible, and for a place like this with the money they charged, it was ridiculous. I figured I would get my money’s worth from the king crab legs though, and I did. They don’t fill you up at all, and I ended up eating probably $100 worth. So it worked OK.

After filling up on King Crab, A and I walked back to the Monte while P was playing in a tourney at Caesars or Harrah’s or something. A went to the poker room and I decided to try out a little Crazy 4 poker. They have all these screens with this bonus game where you put in some money and then you can bet on the dealer or yourself to get a bonus hand. If you get a royal flush, you get $40 grand. A straight flush gets you $10 grand. A flush gets you 50-1. Now I had no idea how this bonus thing worked when I sat down, so I can’t be blamed for not saying anything. But I proceed to get 5 flushes betting on myself and the dealer, for the hour that I was there, and walked away with $300. Every time you hit a flush, the pit boss walks over and has to stick a card into the machine, push some buttons, and then you get paid two nice green chips for every dollar you bet. Remember that this was at Crazy 4 poker, which means you use 4 of the 5 cards to make your best 4 card hand. Both the dealer and the pit boss didn’t really know much about the bonus machine and it took them a couple minutes every time to hit the right buttons, etc. Fast forward to the next night, I walk up to the table, buy in for $100, plus $20 for the bonus. The second hand after I sat down, one of the other players who was playing the bonus gets a flush, but doesn’t get paid. I say “Why didn’t he get the bonus?†The dealer says “You have to have a 5 card flush to get the bonus.†DOH!! So I was playing last night getting 50-1 on my 4 card flushes and I didn’t stick around all night to bankrupt the casino??? I guess I should have been happy with my $300 winnings but all I could think of is how much I actually LOST by not playing all night last night while the iron was HOT! Oh well…the thoughts of a gambler. I cashed out a couple hands later down about $20.

I finally sat down at the Monte Carlo for my first live poker. I REALLY should have stuck to the crazy 4 poker. Sat down at 1-2 no limit with $100. J and A were already there. So I am playing my usual game…I’m not the best, but I consider myself a solid player. There’s a drunk guy down next to my friend J yelling and calling everyone Marge. My friend J has on his Top Gun glasses so I’m busting his balls calling him Maverick when he wins and Goose whenever he dies. I am slowly planning to catch the drunk guy…plotting my time to catch him when he raises in front of me.

    POKER HAND DESCRIPTION:
About an hour in, I look down and see my chance. Pocket Kings. J folds, and drunk guy makes it $25. I have about $160 in front of me so I raise the bet to $75. I figure if he goes all in, I’ll have to think about it. He does go all in, but says “What do you have, Aces?†as he does so. Now I figure he doesn’t have Aces, so I call him pretty quick. He doesn’t…he has Queens. Flop A-7-10…turn…2…river…Queen. Yeah, he busted me on river with a 2 outer for a $330 pot. Nice hand sir. He’s going nuts, high-fiving his girl or whatever she was as I was reaching into my wallet for another hundy. J and A just shake their heads but they smile….knowing they have something to bust my balls about the next 3 days.

Of course about 10 minutes later, drunk guy goes all in, with MY CHIPS, with J, who had Aces full of Queens against drunk guy’s Aces full of 7s. So as J is stacking his chips and drunk guy is leaving getting yelled at by whoever she was, J feels the need to point out to me that he is stacking many of MY chips. Whatever you douchbag. I’ll have my revenge. Sadly, however, I would not.

After about 10 kahlua and creams, I was feeling pretty bombed, especially since the kahluas were not mixing well with the King Crab and Hash a Go Go so I went up to bed for a nap around midnight. Again woke up throughout the night hearing stories of how J gave back half of his winnings when he got “screwedâ€(outplayed) by an “idiotâ€(solid player) who slow-played his flopped lock flush and let J catch his straight on the river and proceed to lead in for $150, only to fold to an all-in raise. I told J he was lucky the guy showed or he would have been wondering what he had for the rest of the week.

So overall, still a winning day, but I went to bed with a sour taste in my mouth that I lost that hand. It would not be the last time that happened.

    Thursday, April 15

Tax day. I had such a headache from the kahlua/cream and crab that I was up at 5am dying of a headache. I went to the store and picked up a couple advil, then washed that down with a couple slices from Sbarros and started to feel a lot better. Lost $100 at 3 Card Poker, $200 at Baccarat, and another $200 at Wizard of Oz. So by 8am, I was down $500 for the day. But at least my headache was gone along with my profit for the week. Went back to the room, took a quick nap while they were getting ready then we decided to hit Paris breakfast buffet. Got in the platinum line because I have my platinum card. Still had to wait about 15 minutes though, got to the front, and the girl said “This card is expired. You have to go down to the front now and get an updated one†I said I have four guys here starving waiting to eat, we just waited 15 minutes, let us eat and I’ll do that later. She tried to be firm with me, but I simply asked for her boss. It wasn’t like I was asking for a free meal…just to be allowed to pay and eat. Her boss came over and said no problem, just for me to go get my platinum card redone later. So with that out of the way, breakfast was awesome as usual.

After breakfast, we went back to the Monte Carlo to check out the pool while my brother was playing in a tourney at Caesars. The pool area was awesome, weather was awesome, people were awesome. Everything was awesome. We were in the lazy river yelling and being belligerent. Some little kid had a super soaker, so I borrowed it from him and was shooting people and basically causing havoc, then blaming it on the kid. Went over to the Jacuzzi area, where the shade was and it was FREEZING. The water felt 200 degrees and I smelled my skin cooking. After about 10 minutes of the jacuzzi, we all went back to the room around 3 to get cleaned up for long night out. Didn’t last too long for me as I passed out while they were getting ready and I didn’t see them again until I woke up at about 6 and they were in the poker room playing no limit. I was really feeling like crap so I wanted to go get a massage. Asked A and J, but only A was into it. After all the advice I asked for here, we still drove around looking for a place and found one right on spring mountain road. Massage was very good, but had to turn down the extra curricular stuff that I was trying to avoid in the first place.

Now feeling refreshed and ready for something to eat, went back to get J and went to Ellis Island where we met with an Elvis look-alike. My friend J had to get a picture of me and A with the guy. Then he wouldn’t leave us alone. But he was a nice older guy and it was cool to talk to an old-timer. Then came the $6.99 steak, and while still good value for the price, it seems the steak gets worse every trip. The good part was that instead of it costing $6.99 plus $100 in losses, I actually took $100 from Ellis Island playing single-deck blackjack. Of course, this simple $100 win ended up costing me $300 at Single Deck tables at Golden Nugget and Monte Carlo the rest of the trip.

By now it was almost 8 and they had been hyping up the HORSE poker game at the Monte Carlo all week and I wanted to get into it. Of course, after being told that they always get a Horse game going on Thursdays, this night would have no game. None. Figures. So I was stuck playing no limit for another few hours, then, as was the norm for this trip, I had a headache and went to take a nap around 11pm.

    Friday, April 16

So after my 6 hour nap, I was refreshed and ready to go at 5 am Friday, which turned out to be our last full day. More on this later. I decided to take advantage of my “free†gym membership included with the resort fees. Paid the extra $5 because there was no way I was actually going to lift a weight or ride a bike in my condition. The spa area at Monte Carlo was pretty nice. Steam room was best I have ever been in. Ate a couple oranges, drank about 6 bottles of water, sat in Jacuzzi, then showered, shaved, ate a couple more oranges, drank more water, and felt best I felt all week by 8am. Saw J and A walk by on their way to the fitness center and we agreed to meet and grab some breakfast after everyone was done. Everyone was done and ready to go around 10am. We ate at In and Out burger, by far the BEST DEAL in Las Vegas. For $7 I got a large milkshake a double burger and fries. Hands-down the best burger I ever had.

After that, I really wanted to see M, so we drove down there. Wasn’t much to see, and I guess I’ll enjoy it more when I go back out with my wife. But it did have an awesome Sports Book and I was told by my friends that the cocktail waitress were extremely attractive (I wasn’t even looking…that’s my story and I am sticking to it) My brother decides that he likes the Cubs, so he puts them into his 5 team parlay. I explain to him that we weren’t coming back unless he won, and then he would owe us dinner for having to come back and he said OK. Guess he’ll have to get us dinner back home because we left a day early.

After M, we went to the Golden Nugget. Lost quickly and easily at Single Deck BJ, so I played cards with friends J and A at 1-2 no limit. Worked my $100 up to about $140 in 10 minutes when I get into a hand with a women who I would affectionately call “Ginny Sacksâ€. Yeah, she looked just like her…could have been her for all I know.

    POKER HAND DESCRIPTION:
I look down at King-Jack of spades. I have no idea how the table is going, only having been there about 10 minutes. I am in middle position, so I make it $10 to go. I get 4 callers plus the big blind. I figure I am in big trouble if an Ace hits, but the flop is a very nice Q-10-2 with 2 spades. BB makes it $10, Ginny Sacks calls and I make it $40. I figure I have flush and straight draws and I want to get out people with pairs if possible. 2 folds, BB calls and Ginny sacks calls. Turn is the 6 of spades. BB checks, Ginny checks, I have about $80 in front of me and I go all in because there is enough in the pot and I want to get either of them out if they are holding the Ace of spades. BB folds. Ginny calls in about 2 milliseconds, and that is when I realize that I had been had. Ginny turns over A-3 of spades and I am reaching for another hundy. Not a bad beat obviously, but a tough way to lose another big pot.

About 4 hands later, Ginny gets her kings full cracked by my friend J’s Aces full, so once again he is stacking many of my chips. He doesn’t even have to say anything…just looks up at me and grins as he is stacking them. F U ya bastard is what I hope my look said to him. All A could do was shake his head and laugh. I needed a coffee so I went over to the Starbucks and got a coffee. Tried to use my Starbucks gift card, but was told that it was casino owned and they didn’t take gift cards. That’s as dumb as it gets. They don’t just serve Starbucks…they have all the signage and everything. I understand Barnes and Noble not taking it because they only SERVE Starbucks. But this place IS a freaking Starbucks. But whatever…I wasn’t going to complain about $3. I then went to place some bets on baseball. I took a Phillies/Yankees parlay $200 to win $200 and both teams on the run line -1 1/2 $100 to win $237.90. So I figure if both teams win by 2 or more runs, I will get back $740. It saves me $300 of my own cash and gets me another $440 as well. Doc is a lock against the Marlins and CC seems to be finding his rhythm.

Back to poker, a couple hands later, the guy next to A gets into a hand with the guy next to me on the other side of the table. The river comes, and the guy next to A bets $50. The guy next to me calls, and the guy next to A immediately mucks his cards and says good hand. The dealer starts pushing the ships over to the guy next to me when the $50 bettor says “I want to see his hand†Well, since he already mucked, he didn’t have that option anymore, and even if he did, the guy next to me threw his cards into the muck as he was getting his chips. Well, the $50 better starts saying “This is crazy†So being the big mouth that I am, I say “Only a live hand can get chips. You mucked, you lost. He had the last live hand. He gets them by default†He says “In Israel, where I am from, the winner has to show hand no matter what†So the guy next to me says “Welcome to Vegasâ€

My friend A is Jewish and we always kid with each other about being Jewish, Italian, etc. So when A got into the next hand head to head with the Israel guy, I texted J with “Jew vs Jew†just as he was saying it to A. His phone beeped and he just knew that it was from me and knew what it was going to read. Yeah, we are immature and all think on the same stupid wavelength.

After a couple hours of up and down poker, I finally win a couple decent sized pots and have about $190 in front of me……

    POKER HAND DESCRIPTION:
I get pocket 3s in the big blind, an old guy in the middle raises to $8, call, call, call, and I call for the additional $6. Flop comes Q 8 3 with 2 diamonds. PERFECT!! Middle guy bets $10, call, call, call, and I’m thinking WOW. There are some draws out there and I am either going to make a lot of cash or get killed again. I raise it to $60 hoping to weed out the chasers. I figure worst case, everyone folds and I make $70 on the hand. Middle guy shocks me by saying I raise ALL-IN. Now I am thinking WTF. Here we go again. He probably has pocket queens or eights and I am screwed. If there was a single caller before me, I may have folded. But nobody called and it was up to me. So I think for a minute, shake my head, and just say “Call†Then I say I can’t believe I am going to lose another big pot. Turn is a 6 of hearts. River is a K of clubs. Neither of us are turning our cards. There’s no straight. There’s no flush. I’m thinking maybe I have a shot here. He is probably pissed his chase didn’t come through. So I decide to be first and I turn over my trip threes. He slooooooooooooooooooowly turns over his pocket Kings. Yeah, beaten again by a two-outer on the river. Absolutely ridiculous. Other than being a total dickweed for slow-rolling me with the nuts, the guy played the hand fine. He had an over pair on the flop and was thinking he would try to get me off my flush draw.

Of course, a few hands later, the game broke up, and I left down $220 and he left with a rack full of reds. The only good thing was that my friend J didn’t win my chips back once again. Even J said “I can’t even bust your balls about that hand. That added to the other hand is about as brutal as it gets.†Agreed.

All the while, my brother was in the tournament at Golden Nugget and he busted out right about the same time as our game broke up. I said let’s head to Red Rock for some Salt Lick like we had a couple years ago. We get there and find out Salt Lick has been closed for about 2 years…must have closed the day after we left. We hit the buffet instead and it was really good. Good fresh sushi, and they had some terryaki chicken that was awesome.

Played $4-8 omaha/8 which is my game, won $200 pretty quickly then relaxed and played about even for another couple hours. By 10pm, I had $300 in gray dollar chips in front of me. I guess the Red Rock doesn’t realize the value of using $5 chips at a $4-8 game. PLUS it had a half-kill, so about every third hand was $6-12. But I’m not complaining with 12 stacks of $25 in front of me. Just found it odd was all.

We all cash out of Red Rock tired as hell, hear the scores of the games and I head to GN to cash in the tickets. My brother also had 2 winners at GN…he was getting back $1000 and I was owed $740. I park out front of GN and run in to cash the tickets. Of course the Sportsbook is closed so I have to go to the cashier. Now, being that it was Friday night, they would of course have at least 3 or 4 lines open, right? Well, they had 2 open at GN…and one was being taken by someone with a marker and the other was a guy with travelers checks or something. But what was nice was that everyone was smart and had formed a SINGLE LINE so that you weren’t waiting into the aisle and that you didn’t feel dumb standing behind the one line that was taking forever while everyone walked up ahead of you in the moving line. However, this MORON who worked there and had on a black suit, come to the line and says “There’s two lines so please move up to form two lines.†I said “We are civil here and are just waiting our turn.†But the people behind in the back start walking right up to the other line JUST AS THAT BOOTH IS READY. I was sooo freaking pissed I wanted to strangle the guy in the suit, but he was gone. What a complete putz. So I start talking very loudly to myself about how rude and ignorant they are there, how people are pricks…the dumb stuff I usually do jokingly now I am doing it because I am tired, pissed, and basically just want to get my $$$ and leave this moronic casino ASAFP. I finally get up there only to find that the girl couldn’t get one ticket to work, then says to me I have to come back tomorrow for that one. I explained that I wont be there tomorrow and to please try it again. She then comes back, about 5 minutes later and says laughingly “Oh it worked fine…I just was putting in a zero instead of an “Oâ€â€ So I gave her a polite semi-chuckle, and watched as she added up and gave me $1570. I was like uh this is wrong…it should be $1740. But she had no clue what she was doing, the sports book was closed, so I couldn’t ask there. That’s when it dawned on me what the F/6 meant next to the Yankees game and I put 2+2 together and got 4. So after winning both games pretty easily…the Yankees game was rain-shortened, thus did not count on the run-line parlay, and so the last bad beat of my trip was that instead of getting back about $740 from the Nugget, I got $570.

We get back to the room about midnight and I check the flights for Sunday. They are seriously close, and I decide that I am going home Saturday with A and J on the 11:30 am. This means I cut the trip short 24 hours. Of course, my brother is staying until the Saturday night red-eye.

    Saturday, April 17

My brother is staying, but I have to return the rental car and he has a $590 ticket to cash at M. So in the morning, I give him $590 for his ticket and we make a pit stop at M to cash the ticket. We leave the room about 6 am, get to M and get ticket cashed by about 7:00 and decide to stop at South Point, which is on the way back from M. We decide on some breakfast there, but it doesn’t open til 8 and it is 7:15. We check the diner and it is mobbed. By the time we walk back to the buffet, there are about 30 people in line at 7:30. We decided to wait along with them. Breakfast was damn good, it was $15 because it was a Saturday brunch, but they had some good food there including fried shrimp that were very good. Also had an omelet, some bacon and a couple tacos. Perfect meal before a long flight. 11:30 flight was so open it wasn’t really a problem getting on and the flight was smooth. Nice to get home a day early to see my wife and 2 ½ year old daughter.

    Some observations:

Aria is nice, but for a bunch of guys, it wasn’t anything special…more like a date place. Buffet had great king crab legs, but for $30 they should serve fresher sushi.

Ellis Island steak dinner is almost getting down to being worth the $6.99.

Golden Nugget on a Friday night is horrible, unless you are 23-27 and single. The pool looked pretty cool though, but it looked like all the chairs were packed in like cattle. I wouldn’t have gone out there if I was staying there.

Camry is perfect size for 4. Anything smaller would probably be too small.

Internet worked fine when I plugged my laptop in. Kinda lame that they don’t have WiFi since it would probably be cheaper than the plug-ins they have there.

Spa was definitely worth the $5 charge. Would have done it every morning if I didn’t feel like crap every morning.

3 full days is waaaay too short for me, but I screwed it up with the flights and Sunday got way too packed. Next time, it will be a Thurs-Tue trip so there’s no worries about the flights home getting packed.

I know it was a very long trip report but I hope you enjoyed it.

    GREAT TR!!!!
I especially enjoyed the poker hand descriptions. Reminded me of the time when i had a straight flush and i told the guy at the end...his reply??? "How high????"
NOT what you wanna hear at the showdown:-(
I did not mind the bad beat, i minded that the guy had no business being in the hand in the first place with a 3-6 offsuit.

Really great trip report. Some pretty bad suckouts on the poker hands though. Good luck on the next trip.

Excellent trip report, except for the gay slot machine playing.

I'm kidding! I just felt compelled to join in on the ball busting with your buds that you obviously enjoy. I am T-7 going out with 21 of my friends. Your report, with all the ball busting, made me laugh remembering how our trips always are.

What's with The Golden Nugget? The way it flowed in your report you made it seem like it was just next door to Monte Carlo, or even Red Rock. I guessed that maybe y'all had a good time there on a previous trip and wanted to check it out, so the effort to get downtown was worth it.

I don't feel too bad when I play a poker hand right and get screwed. Stuff happens.

    Again, good report.

    except for that slot crap.

    Great Report!

I love Crazy 4 Poker and have never heard of the bonus game - was that at Monte Carlo? I will be in Vegas next week and hope to find it at Bellagio.

    Thanks for posting.
