    Thursday, 22nd

Embarking on Vegas Trip #18, with trip #19 2 weeks away and #20 slated for the Aria grand opening in December, I felt a tinge of trepidation as I knew that all too unfamiliar requirement of "bankroll preservation" would be necessary.

No worry, I had planned well. There would be no blackjack played above the $15 level, no video poker above a quarter, all craps would be passline with single odds only, and oh god there would be NO ROULETTE and no Harrahs' property carny bets in any way shape or form. The only Mississippi stud on this trip would be a strippers misconception in a darkly lit VIP room.

So I was off to meet Jason at Midway, traffic was light, but the rain was heavy. I could just taste that first cocktail at the bar, but I would hold solid and have but maybe 1 on the flight, so as to retain my wits, and keep my bold strategy steady.

Upon arrival I sought out an organic salad station, but instead found a McDonalds. I wouldn't sully myself with their genetically engineered greenery and thus ordered an old standby---Big Mac, no lettuce.

I quickly came across the tall canadian and we had time for just one vodka soda and beer at the nearby bar. As I prepared to order drink #2 an order came over the intercom that the flight at our gate was now boarding. Now given that Jason is an airline employee, I let him rouse me from my alcohol even though I knew it was far too early for our flight to board.

Apparantly where he is from they don't kick 'em out every 30 minutes like at Midway. So yeah we were those guys, or should I say HE was that guy shoving thru the B30's to get to our A17 and A18 before too many chumps took out spots. Haha, the joke was on us though, when as I thought might be the case, it was just a slightly late earlier flight boarding to Orlando.

Jason joked that perhaps we should go to Orlando rather than Vegas. I did NOT laugh.

Soon enough we were on our way, grabbing two aisle seats in the exit rows, and Jason quickly thwarted my plans at sobriety with a handful of SWA drink tickets. It turned out our flight was going to be sponsored this day by Finalandia:

And that was only about 2/3 of the damage. Luckily Jason kept it more in check as we had a rental car to pick up. Upon arrival we shuttled over, grabbed the car smoothly and got in line. Sadly the old man in front of us had NOT realized that the pimped out Cadillac he chose was not an economy car and the whole damn line had to back up.

As soon as the line cleared we high tailed it outta there towards TI for Jasons checkin. He got slapped down like me trying to pick up chicks in high school when he tried his $20 trick (damn shoulda tried THAT in high school)....but he did get a decent corner room.

We checked it out then headed to my check in at Excalibur. Thing is we are degenerates and TI has tables, so all did NOT go according to plan. Also, my entire set of earlier rules were broken as we hit $1 VP, walked thru the high limit room, and also sat at.....GASP.....a roulette table!

Well wouldn't you know it I made my standard initial $100/spin bet with 13 numbers covered in varying depths of $5 chips, can't really say covered with only 20 chips out, more like "lightly peppered", but as luck would have it, true to form of my prior trip, the most heavily peppered of those SOB's hit on the first spin. YES AGAIN starting the trip with a big #17 on the first roll on roulette. Cashed out and got out.

Quick hit for $700 on TI roulette to start Trip

Hunger overcame gambling addiction and we had $100 to blow over at the Castle, so we were off. VIP check-in was anything but. I've seen homeless people treated better at the Ritz-Carlton, but I guess that's why MGM-Mirage hires these hopeless scabs.

I couldn't upgrade cause I had their best room, but I did have some free tickets to "any MGM show" so we requested Terry Fator. The lady looked at me like I was an alien with a head 6 sizes too big. i pulled out the offer and showed her. She made a few calls. they did not it turned out have Terry Fator tickets all weekend. Yeah BS....they are for sale all over you people are so full of it. So I asked well what DO YOU HAVE tickets to? Anything in the MGM family? She made a call and I waited. Finally I told her, you know what we'll go to dinner and if you can figure anything out great, if not well thats great too. Good job on the comp MGM-Mirage....freaking idiots.

Ok so we hit the room first and dropped off my luggage and got some pics, but wouldn't you know it there was a gift basket with two bottles of champagne out front. Now clearly these were between my room and the next, closer to the next, the gift basket was open and the only thing left were the two sealed bottles and some dirty dishes. Yeah we took them. HA! Here is my free show you cheap bastards. So we washed those babies down, put one in the fridge and drank the other piss warm.

Here are some pics of the 1 BR suite at Excal, great room actually.

We left the room and headed towards the elevator as I pounded the freebie:

We settled on dinner at the steakhouse at Camelot, at the bar.

The bartender had been there since open and was a great guy. Great food, great service, casual atmosphere, great drinks and conversation with Jason and the bartender. Dinner came to $103, $30 tip and we headed to the casino for a cursory look.

There were some very, very hot dancers at the Excal 7/5 BJ party pit:

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_msVi4PKTyQ&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_msVi4PKTyQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

But we couldn't fade those odds for long, especially not without our free show tickets so we decided better put in some play at TI and headed back that direction. Not a whole lot else happened gaming wise. Kept it pretty reasonable and had one good run taken back by a bad one. That's all I can remember about Thursday night.

Ok I had to come back and add some more because now I remembered that we were at Casino Royale and this lovely perky young blonde was doing the most teasing pre-roll routine on the craps table. Oh hell we were wasted and Jason was watching something else and missing half the rolls and then turning around and asking what the hell happened.

It is coming back to me in flashes.

I remember a tall attractive australian girl sidling up to jasons side but he was too drunk to care and accidently drank her beer, to which I was shocked because I've never seen him drink beer. She was too drunk to notice as well.

My focus was muddied by the pre-roll routine, this girl was petite but either amply endowed or had a push up bra working just the right amount of magic. She would bend far down into the pit and rub the dice on the felt for a bit too long. Well it FELT a bit too long to me. She would get this rythmic "jiggle" going that was just hypnotic. I digress, but that was fun, but I was getting wobbly (not giggly) after a long day of travel and fun so I went to bed, leaving Jason to fight for his mere survival in a room full of tall foreign women and things that go "jiggle" in the night.

    Friday, 23rd

My plan was to sleep late, but I was awoken by a text from my Baltimore board friend Joey Bagz, who had arrived at the Baltimore airport, quite early apparently.
No matter, I got up only long enough to tend to some minor business, order a breakfast quesadilla and crashed again.

Next thing I know its a few hours later and the texts start again and the girls were landing soon, and somehow able to text from her phone?!??! From the sound of things the Joey and her cohort Hollar Back had enjoyed at LEAST a few cocktails on the way in. I am getting texts from the girls like, "look up in the air mo fo, thats us" hmmm thought texting was illegal on airplanes, but perhaps it is just frowned upon like masterbation. Geeeez....Everyone so sensitive after 9/11. Thanks a lot Bin Ladin!!!!

Regardless, I had slept well over my 3 hr allotment anyway and was ready to get up so I showered and headed over to MGM to greet them. I was thinking I should wear my swim gear but then again they are probably going to nap after drinking 5 hrs on their flight.

I was ready a bit early and waited for another text from them so I headed down to the Excalibur casino where I took a beating. Early gambling=extreme losses, back down to about $400 up.

As I got the text from the girls to come meet them at MGM an old lady asked me for directions from tropicana from excalibur. Although I was headed to MGM via the NYNY bridge, I decided to go the Tropicana route and walk this lady back as she seemed disoriented and confused by the directions. Sadly, she did not invite me up for a drink and I met the girls at the check in line.

They were pretty well lit and ready to party pool style! And totally making fun of my dumb ass for not wearing swim gear. Meanwhile I am trying to text Jason all morning to meet up but to no avail.

I start walking back to Excal to change into swim gear and wouldn't you know it, run into Jason on the walkway, and smart fellow he is, already in swim gear. So I change quick and we meet the girls back at MGM to head to the pool...woooo hoooooo!!!!! Oh and of course we grabbed the second bottle of hallway Excalibur champagne and took turns toking that bad boy on the way to meet the girls.....classssssayyyy!

OK so the girls need something to eat, and looking at Holla Back size 0 I am thinking fruit, maybe a muffin? Nope Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese! Hard to beat a thin girl who can represent at Mickey D's!

So we hit the pool ordered a pina colada and relaxed by the lazy the river for a few hours. It was just perfect temperature, not hot like the recent trips. We did a lap in the river but there wasn't a whole lot to see for a Friday. The waitress also was pretty crabby.

The MGM pool would be fun with a lot of friends but its not luxurious like Encore or Palazzo, and the way its designed isn't very wide open, more small coves so not the best for people watching. Also it seems like a lot of the crap in there, bridges, trees, what have you cause unwanted shade. It was a good time though because we had good friends to joke around and talk smack with.

As Jason and I had skipped the McD's, we were getting ravenous and decided to head out to M Resort to check the place out and hit the buffet.

    M Resort
    [IMG]

It was quite a drive out to this place, and although it is nice, its pretty quiet. The machines are obviously all brand new, and the pop machine looked great if you drink pop. But there weren't enough people for my taste and I couldn't really get a vibe.

The buffet didn't open until 3:30 and it was only 3:15 and the line was already forming, it was a premium priced seafood buffet, which Jason doesn't really care for so we grabbed some awesome burgers, fries, and onion rings at the nearby cafe. Great service and food with a cool view over the pool area.

After lunch we decided on a little gambling, I had a couple nice roulette hits made about $200 after plowing some back in, then joined Jason on some nearby video poker machines. I fairly quickly hit a 4OAK and we got outta the M for the long drive back tot the strip.

oh yeah 4 Aces on double double
    [IMG]

Being prematurely awaked by the ladies, I decided to head back to room for nap. I've learned over many Vegas trips that being over tired can lead to some VERY BAD decision making at the tables. On the way back to my room I ran into these goofballs by the elevator to tower II at Excal:

some crazies from dicks last resort
    [IMG]

I grabbed a short nap and had a text from ErininSD so I decided to shower and try to meet up with her before my appointed meet up time with Jason at TI. So I texted back and forth with ErininSD from vegasrex but could not find her in MGM, either that or she got my background check just in time. So i gave up on that and got in the VERY LONG cab line for a ride to TI. Everyone was just getting ready to head out to the U2 concert so it was a freaking zoo!

Upon arrival at TI I noticed some messages from Jaco that Whale Jo was over at Encore so we walked to Encore and gambled a little on some of our favorite video poker banks, all sadly with ever-decreasing pay scales.

Shortly we got a phone call and found Whale Jo dining at Wazuzu, where he apparantly annihlated three plates of sushi. It was very nice to finally meet Whale Jo, he is a very cool down to earth guy, just saddled with two $10K bricks after a great start to his trip! We told him about our plans to meet our buddies Gaggles and Corbyn and then the girls who he knew from TA downtown at 10:30pm. We made plans to meet up at Golden Gate for some craps around that time.

Jaco did a live report of Whale Jo's trip which can be found here:

    http://thevegasblog.blogspot.com/

We left Whale Jo as Gaggles had arrived and I needed to get him checked in back at TI with another comp room I had decided to use cause the weekend was soooo expensive with the U2 concert in town and I didn't want Gaggles to get stuck $100 for NYNY or some such crap.

After checking in I headed over to the box office to get the LeAnn Rimes tix that came with the offer. Of course she cancelled and I got NADA. Not even an apology. Hmmmm sounds familiar, a lot like Excalibur. You would think they would offer Mystere or something? Nope. MGM-Mirage and their recently disbanded TI are clearly equally inept at maximizing the goodwill from their comp dollars. I think they have a good plan, the execution just blows.

So the guys were stuck in a cab line and we hit some tables. I got spanked on blackjack immediately and chased on roulette. I was on tilt a bit and after these losses up less than $100 for trip from high of $2,200. Damn WHY DO I DO THAT?!?!?!?! It would have been such fun to head out with the boys up $2K to start! :(

Anywho we get gaggles and corbyn checked in at TI, and quickly cab it downtown.

We met up with the girls over by the pool at Golden Nugget but that place blows so we quickly exited and headed over to the GOLDEN GATE!!!!

We meet up with Joeybagz and HollaBack at golden nugget and make a beeline for golden gate craps table.... [IMG]

We love this place because they play kick-ass music, they have awesome dealers, great table minimums and rules and fantastic drink service. What more could a guy ask for? Oh hell yeah, HOT DANCING CHICKS!!!! Well they have those too. And just to add a little twist the dancers rotate as dealers. And they are VERY GOOD at BOTH!

So we are in gambling nirvana. We had Holla Back as a virgin roller on craps, we have our full crew in place at the big table. I got in a great first roll, made 3 points. Off to a good start. The girls wanted a few pointers so they parked next to me and I played bets for their rolls. Joey Bagz hit a quick point and made me some bucks, but then the virgin rolling sister Holla Back came up and did her thing to the tune of a nice quick profit. Actually I think I have the order reversed on who rolled first, but either way it was excellent!

I roll twice, make 3 points each time, plus a few 7/11's on come out for nice quick profit. After a while our fun night gets EVEN FUNNER when the world famous Whale Jo shows up with a couple bricks (aka $10K stacks). After that the table ran lukewarm and I lost it all on carny bets. I wish we had gotten longer to meet with Whale Jo and I hope he isn't a superstitous guy who thinks we are bad luck cause I thought he was a great guy and really enjoyed the little time we got to spend with him. I would hope to meet up and gamble with him again and maybe grab dinner at one of the Wynn's gourmet restaurants sometime.

Sick of hanging with the coolers, Whale Jo went over to golden nugget and reclaimed his golden gate losses at BJ, where of course they sweated his action like they do anyone who wins.

So on kind of a downer having lost our buddy Whale Jo and already used up our virgin roller on craps we went looking for lady lucks love in all the right places, and as luck would have a completely empty BJ table opens up right by the stripper pit at golden gate.

All 6 of us are down on the spots....BeeeJay, Jason, JoeyBagz, HollaBack, Corbin, and Gaggles. It was a nickel ($5) shuffle machine table....but hey its 3/2 so whatever.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_byv2XsB9RI

I start with a buyin of $500, a stack of red and some greens. I go on the blackjack run of my life! I got nothing worse than a 20 for the longest time. Started playing $15, got up as high as $130. After a big win I would drop down to $5 and lose, get back up to $65 or $85 and win a bunch of splits and double.

could not lose at this table
    [IMG]

Note the black chip at the bottom of the stack of reds, which explains why I got so excited, couldn't figure that out first time i watched it!

The other boys at the end of the table were having a blast yelling for bust cards against each other, it was HILARIOUS. I was directly beside the pit pole dancer and all of them were beautiful and fun. I was throwing red chips onto the little mini stage on a regular basis.

getting all sloppy after a big win
    [IMG]

After two hours I had tipped the dealer $80, a couple bucks at a time, tipped the various pole dancers $20. Somehow it all came together and my stacks of chips were all even so I cashed out. I had stacks of 10 chips....5 stacks of reds ($250) 5 stacks of greens ($1,250) and oh YEAH BABY---ONE BIG BLACK BEAUTIFUL STACK OF BLACKS!!!!

celebrating a nice hit with the canadians!

Total cash out $2,500. Net profit $2,000. and I'm not gonna lie to you, i was sweating a back room at the golden gate walking out with that wad! But I was really ecstatic to have regained my previously lost winnings and everyone had a great time low rolling at the Golden Gate. This was probably the best blackjack run I had since May 2008 at Bellagio when I bought in $400 and cashed out $7,000. Damn I should have been betting like THAT! Of course table max of $500 would have precluded some of those bets, and the slightly worse rules as well.

The girls headed out to crash early as they had been up and travelling that day and we stumbled to Ballys via cab (almost stole a running unmanned police car)

    nearly stole a cop car
    [IMG]

and its all fuzzy after that, but I drank water and the boys were WRECKED....they were on the edge of security enforcement, especially when gaggles dropped his cigar across the craps table that was so hilarious...he may also be engaged to a cocktail waitress now, but that is real fuzzy. Those guys were trying to smoke cigars and kept needing a relight. I finally just gave them the lighter. I bailed and I may be the only guy asleep before 6am.

Now I'm taking a bubble bath in the monster jacuzzi at Excalibur, this room rocks, bubble bath and rap music baby!

Some dude and his wife/girlfriend/mistress/whatever are being faaar too loud and having way too much fun. I am going to propose the nickname of "The Jackhammer" to the gentleman in the room above mine.

Sorry if the "tense" is off a bit, some of this was reported live during the trip, some is being added now a week later.

Okay so Friday night, i fell asleep to the sound of the Jackhammer above my room, no bad prison dreams though, thank god.

    Saturday 24th

I woke up after sleeping a few hours and sat around drinking water, finally got a text and started the day by meeting Gaggles and Corbyn at Grand Lux at 1pm for lunch.

We ordered Sloppy joes and a biznatch peach bellini for the girlie boy aka me, the real men gorged on lemonade. The prices are great for Palazzo, regular Grand Lux prices, unless you are dumb enough to add a $6.95 salad and $10.95 Peach Belini to your reasonably prices $11.95 Sloppy Joe with fries. So whatever I threw down $40 maybe $35 and we headed out. Here is the sad effort on the sloppy.

    sloppy down for the count
    [IMG]

We were talking about where to watch the game so we decided to walk by the sportsbook to check it out and see about a spot at Legasses stadium for sunday but ended up taking a wrong turn and had to backtrack at which time I noticed that light up roulette table. So I showed the boys who that worked with a quick $100 spin and cashed out immediately for a $250 single spin win.

We hit the cashier then went by Legasses stadium. They mounties said it looked TOO comfortable and they would fall asleep on those gay couches. I checked and there was no availability anyway, plus its $50 minimum per person for $6.50 beers or whatever so not really a great value.

We all agreed it would be a better place to go watch football with dates.

It was nearing time for our 3pm meet at Flamingo, but Gaggles and Corbyn excused themselves due to hangovers, which was understandable as anhiliated at they were the night before. While they went back to their room to puke, I updated my budget for a $500 charge for damages to the TI room I double-booked on a comp so those guys could use it.

I headed up to Flamingo for the meet. Couldn't find anyone and hadn't been able to get thru to Jason's phone all day. Bought in degenerate gambler on $5 VP machine, hit full house cashed out blew it on roulette. Finally found Jason and then ran into Andre. We played a little craps at Flamingo, won $50?

We decided to do some video poker at a place with better paytables. Headed down to Casino Royale where Jason and I got our cards and coupons, I couldn't' get one as I had been in town earlier in October. Then we did a three man video poker battle for a mortimar SINGLE dollar bet (Trading Places reference) at casino royale and jason was VERY excited to cash in his $25 4OAK coupon and the bastard won the $1 from each of us. Andre was a real cool guy, wish he could have hung out for one of our late night drunk fests.

Jason and I decided a quick stop at a Palazzo blackjack table wouldn't kill us, and an appearance is always good as they comp us the best rooms in Vegas (not using on this guys trip though---I usually use with wife, sister, or buddies with wives/girlfriends trips).

Blackjack followed the suit of the day and went quite well.

Quick hit at blackjack at Palazzo to add to the earlier roulette win
    [IMG]

By the end of this session I was nearing a $3,500 profit range for the trip. Now given that this is the 7th winning trip in a row, things are just getting really ridiculous. Like most people I have more than my share of losing streaks, but this winning run has been based completely on timing. Timing as in betting big at the right times and cashing out at the right times. Has part of it been "chasing"? probably. Has it been effective? Yes. Has it been enjoyable? Only mildly, primarily because any good luck I've had in Vegas is offset 10 times by decreased business profits due to the recession. I live cheap so its no biggie but hey no one likes making less this year than last!

It was nearing evening on Saturday and we were planning to meet up with the crew at around 7pm. I decided I wanted to switch into my night clothes, AKA pants instead of shorts as I had far too much shit in my pockets with cameras, phones, my battery was dead anyway, etc. So we hoofed it back to Excalibur and I changed and charged my phone.

Then Jason thinks just because he is staying at NYNY next door and he came with me to change that i'll go with him?!?!? The gall of these Canadians! Ok sounds reasonable to me, I'll bite. So we head over to NYNY. Now being the degenerate that I am, being up nearly $3,500 I told the big dog he could go up and change and I'll hit supertimespay in high limit so i can grab a free pack of stoges (aka $300 pack).

Jason wants no part of this BS and says he will have drink as well. i sit down and play and hit something decent, cash out when we get our drinks and stoges. he says something about wanting to hit a new bank of no-comp full-pay VP machines. I instantly feel the itch to sit down and play my tito. So he goes off to do that and I look back but someone has taken my machine.

I slip my $200 tito into a single play figuring it'll keep me alive and have a stoge and great drink service until Jason is back. Then I notice its a progressive and go to change games on that machine, its only $5. Hmmmm weird machine. But the jackpot is $26K so why not. $200 isn't enough so I throw another benjamin in. First hand nada, second hand dealt trip Aces, draw nada, third hand nada, 4th HAND-----well I'll let the pictures do the talking:

While the handpay check was in route I realized I did NOT have a camera. This was unacceptable for my biggest single win ever!!!! I went out into the casino literally YELLING for Jason, no where around.

Finally that dillweed shows up with his camera and takes care of business for me. Now this poor dude has had to be witness to far too many of my ridiculous wins over this latest run so now he is just kinda numb to the whole thing. don't get me wrong I like winning, but I would like to see my crew get some royals and some big wins, but no I'm not gonna give up any of mine!!!! haha.

About this time Jason is getting hungry as he had not made Grand Lux with the rest of us, so we make plans to meet Jason and Corbyn over at the Paris diamond lounge. At this point in the trip I am up $13,500 and feeling f'n GREAT!

The diamond lounge service was crap, and the food was being taken down, bummer. We got some snacks and waited and waited and waited for our drinks and Gaggles showed up.

While those guys jacked around on the internet, I said I had to take a piss and snuck out to play a $500 roulette spin---lost of course....but Jason knowing I'm a degenerate caught me. Hey I had to take a pot-shot and getting ahead some real coin.

Shortly we gave up on the crap slow service at the Paris diamond lounge and headed to the bowels of Bally's to some weird VP bar by a food court. The games were all quarters and the buttons were all sticky and crappy. We did find some food and Jason and I grabbed a piece of pizza at the Sbarros.

While I was buying said pizza a dude was getting some hot dog and the lady was trying to talk him into a bucket of beer, she seemed to offer to drink it with this biker looking dude in his bath tub but he very politely in the fanciest queens english declined. Then i got to talking with him as he is from the Chicago area and turns out his great-great-great grandfather smoked the peace pipe with the Indians near Ft. Dearborn at the peace treaty after the massacre.

I guess that would be what Rhonda over at OV would call a "Truths", or what the educated population calls a "Truce"....no offense.

We played at Bally's a bit on the craps table from the night before. That was doing nothing for me so I hit a BJ table where it was up and down on $75 hands and finally cashed out even at the shuffle. Then I made the cardinal sin of buying in $800 in nickels and quarters at the roulette table and lost it all in 3 spins. Yes I was shooting for the moon now and blowing some major profits, but this would be limited as I had taken a check at NYNY for $10,000 rather than the $10K brick. This would turn out to be a SMART MOVE!

So now I had blown about $1,500 of my profits and we headed to Planet Hollywood, at this time I had the NYNY check in the wallet and about $2K. We decided to give the pleasure pit and try and they had some niiiiice dancers in there!

nice dancers in the pleasure pit as usual:

This was going poorly and I dropped another $500 so headed to some VP machines where we all did ok and Gaggles SCREAMED for a King and got 4OAK Kings so we were all going with that theory. I was getting tired and gave up on the yelling but I guess I did hit one premium 4OAK

Gaggles and Corbyn hit a roaring craps table while Jason and I finished up on VP. By this time I was getting a little shaky, even though it was only like midnight. I dropped Jason off with those guys at craps and told them I was audi, it was too crowded to fit into the table and I was DONE anyway.

I headed back to the room and ordered some room service:

Then of course started feeling better and getting texts from ErininSD and the Baltimore girls who had just run into Gaggles at P HO. I thought about heading back out, but I had already blown $2k and had $1,500 in my wallet for the final day so I went to bed early, drained, tired, with a check for $10K in the safe and a guaranteed winning trip!

    Sunday 25th

I couldn't sleep with the excitement of the prior nights win and the impending required check out so I woke up early and checked out of Excal and headed to MGM....thought about upgrading to some crazy suite with big winnings but when I asked they said nothing was available even though I had seen rooms online and checked again when I got to my room and they were still available for that night.

The checkin lady at mgm was a bitch, no help, bad attitude, no tip.

I decided to go make a football bet 15 min till games...mgm sportbook a joke, line a mile long, I had suitcase and backpack so no chance. I decided to sit down at vp machine and wait half hour til room was ready.

I flushed a couple hundred bucks. I had texted Whale Jo a few times to see what was up and tried ErininSD, both were gone from Vegas by this time. My trip had only one day left.....THE HORROR!!!!

Luckily while I was waiting Jason text me he was at NYNY and he would come and meet me at the MGM VP bank. It was the slowest drink service ever. completely useless. called 45 min later for room, said call back an hour. mgm sucks. ok so jason shows up, I call room is ready, head up dump stuff and head down to wynn for free buffets then supposed to meet gaggles and corbyn at 1pm at mirage for football in sports book.
Here are some pics of the crappy mgm room, not that bad except for the low shower head and tube tv

We headed down to the Wynn, stopped in to say hi to Aracelli and got in the VIP line for the buffet. Andrea was there at the same time per his post on VMB and waited an hour in the regular line. It took us maybe 10 minutes. It was the stupid champagne brunch so the breakfast items took up space normally used for more entree options. Also, even though Aracelli offered 3 dinner buffets and we only took 2 brunch apparently we didn't rate champagne and couldn't add it for the difference. idiots. The buffet sucked accept for the kobe beef sliders and desserts, it was very crowded and too many breakfast choices. If you were in the mood for breakfast it would be great--but hey I can get an order of hotcakes at Mickey D's that are just as good as cold buffet pancakes.

    wynn desserts
    [IMG]

We decided to hit our favorite bank of supertimespay machines for a little tourney and some cocktails. We played a little at the Blush bank lost, then won back on quarter super times pay with 10 play on a hand with 2 4OAK 4's

    2 4OAKs
    [IMG]

After wynn buffet and vpoker the boys say they are in big poker game at Mirage so lets meet up at 6 or 7 instead of 1pm....cool so we head back to MGM and hit Wet Republic with the girls, pretty tame except for one largest naturally endowed female human on earth.

big boob girl squishing guy on lounge chair (gotta look to see)

Wet Republic was a nice place, service, security is VERY serious about their gay pool security jobs. The pools at MGM are a dive compared to Palazzo and Encore but I guess they are for like 28yr rice burner wannabees, not classy trailer folk like me. The flat screens in the bar at Wet Republic were HD with an awesome picture so we watched a little football here and there in between checking out the waitresses and young ladies showing off their assets.

We spent most of the time talking with our friends Joey Bagz and her sister Holla Back, they are really nice and fun to joke around with. The funny thing is some lady on TA read their TR and PM'd them a bunch of crap about hanging out with us pervs and the like. Or maybe just I was the "perv". That is pretty funny given my actual behavior. But i'll just suffice it to say that those who have partied with me aren't sending any weird PM's.

I think maybe some of the people who are from a more permissive era don't realize that our particular generation is more conservative? I'm not judging anyone but its ironic who makes assumptions sometimes. Just keep in mind because you blew billy bob at the office party in '68 doesn't mean that 30 something year old professionals in 2009 don't sit at the Vegas pool and talk about their kids soccer games. Our reality is a lot more boring than your imagination glass house livers.

Here is Joey Bagz trip report:

    http://las-vegas-hotels.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g45963-i10-k3181380-TR_joey_and_sis_wild_and_crazy_vegas_trip_mgm_prima-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html

Ok so that lecture is over, after wet repub, showered and rested a while, then met Jason and had to get him check into Orleans where we pounded 2 free buffets. it is NOT a good idea to have two buffets in one day.

Now i shit you not here, I liked the orleans buffet better than wynns sunday brunch. although the desserts and kobe sliders were good at wynn, having the brunch wastes a lot of potential entree space on drab breakfast foods. I can get a lukewarm pancake and piss warm eggs at McD's...come on man.

Oh I did also fall for the old loose salt shaker trick at Orleans
    [IMG]

I told this blue hair at the Orleans who was moving slow with her walker and cane that she was doing a whole helluva lot better than me that morning. She said sorry she is so slow. I told her when you look that good you just take your time and let the fans wait! She seemed to enjoy that. After walking the lost 85 yr old lady from Excal to Tropicana I think Jason may have been starting to get worried about me.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIyQnUJX5SQ

Anywho (the one-maybe two obligatory anywho's per trip report)....we head to mirage to meet the fools in distress after orleans (where by the way I hit dollar DDB 4 queens for $250 while jason checked, of course only cashed out a $75 profit like a degenerate).

And you thought clark griswold got beat at the mirage? I started playing $11 hands just to low roll it and I could NOT WIN a hand.....we all got f'n punished into oblivion. we offered to let them take us out back, kick us in the nuts, and take half our money but they wanted it all.

I kept seeing this guy at Mirage
    [IMG]

While walking thru Mirage we witness this very svelte looking woman (at least from behind) who says "oh my god I lost my grandmother!!!"....now having seen her only from behind I respond "...I can be your grandmother...", she turns around, is like 14 yrs old, I turn red and hide behind the group of canadians as we move towards Bellagio giggling like little girls.

I had some decent VP hits and headed to bellagio, played some minor VP...nothing, then just got ass raped on craps with 4 straight shooters 7 out at the worst POSSIBLE times. even worse the 2 buffets in one day hit my colon and I defile the buffet area washroom like a bagdahd open market on 2 for 1 suicide bomber day. during our walk towards the overpass to Bally's Gaggles and Corbyn start in on each other with their "mom" jokes again, all I remember is something about "...so sloppy I have to wear golashes..." and it probably deteriorated from there.

As soon as we got out of the hoity toity casinos things began to look up
    [IMG]

Gave that up and headed to Flamingo......played carny mississippi stud and actually did ok, i had a nice $1,025 hit on roulette during a piss break which funded some carny bets and (um i am typing this at the point a small flock of little nipper birds seem to have taken up residence near me eating of the floor)....anyway we got shhhiiiitty at this place...some guy hit 4OAK for $2K on MS Stud, Jason hit a $500 Full House.

    Jason's Boat Show
    [IMG]

Gaggles and I generally got spanked but at least got a bit of play for our money. But Corbyn went OFF with pair and two pair and three of kinds just punished that whore of a carny game....he flipped that expectation on its ass.

    the boys lovin' MS Stud
    [IMG]

this chick at flamingo was wearing my Fantasy quarterbacks jersey
    [IMG]

Gaggles left in disgust....we went to osheas for craps. I went to BK and ran into a dude from Lincoln while jason was grabbing subway....and guess which degenerate we found alone in the dining area? the supposedly asleep Mr. Gaggles!

here is my secret super sloppy sandwich
    [IMG]

So we ate then hit the craps table where this chick with big sloppy tits and a green shirt was rolling and jiggling. we had a few good rolls, real good 3-4 pointers, then I cashed out at an even profit, maybe $50 for low rolling with carny bet losses. Ok so Corbyn goes to piss and these two fat chicks, butt white, with lotsa tattoos take his spot which is cover in a wash cloth to protect his chips.

well we told those girls they needed to get all over our buddy when he got back and they gave he a big hug and he was AGHAST as Orca and Shamu tried to work him. He slapped them back just in time to see his 4th point of his fire bet just miss on a 7 out....damn! ok

by this time its 4am and i am dead man walking, jason quit drinking a while ago so we stumble back to bellagio, grab the car and ride to NYNY where we say later dude and I head back to MGM and crash hard. I had basically blown the other $1,500 I had left and most of another $1,000 of my original show up cash.

Here are some texts sent that last night (in reverse chronological order):

    10/26
5:46am we stuck two fat chicks on corbyn, he's getting tag teamed by Shamu and Orca, but doesn't mind cause he's 3 points into his fire bet.

    3:46am we r destroyed having a blast!

    2:58am flamingooooooooooooo

1:18am hey ladies waz up we are headed to ghetto to get sloppy (like corbyn's wife per darren and he says golashes are required) going to IP or O'Sheas.

12:02am 3 flusher in bellagio washroom killing water table in desert.

    Monday, 26th

wake up, clean up, shower, pack, order this crappy sandwich for $30 from MGM room service (requested no tomato, no lettuce)

meet the gals for ride to the airport, they saw kardashian and mirage night before. they shared their presidential with me and now I'm here typing this shit and watching these gay little birds wondering if I am gonna pass out driving home from midway.

    the birds
    [IMG]

had a burrito at the airport, it didn't turn out so well and made for a difficult flight, the mountains:

I held on until I made it to midway, for the protection of the other passengers, but I had to, just HAD to record this in case I hit some kind of guiness world record....this is probably not for the quesy, ladies, or anyone else easily offended or grossed out. View at your own risk (it is an audio representation only)....my kids are asking me to play this like 20 times a day BTW.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73RMJk9mFq8

    Final Tally and Summary:

I ended up blowing thru a lotta cash those last two days. The net after all expenses was a win of $8,970.

Upon my return I canceled next trips, don't wanna give back that win.....and pool seasons over. Also, due to the magnitude of the net win, I can actually do a nice beach vacation rather than a low-ball comped vegas trip.

After canceling my upcoming trips I got a post on whatbrianthinksaboutvegas.com from my buddy Airball----he called my gay for cancelling, here is my response:

yes he is right that is totally gay of me. but its a sucker bet for me to go back in. knowing myself, its too easy to plow that back in. if I spend some time away I can reset my stakes and it wont feel like I'm up with money to blow.

also the plight of whale jo wasn't lost on me. he was up $23-$27K when we met with him and ended the weekend busted down to paperclips, rubber bands, and felt. thats a good warning for me.

and despite all those warnings I did blow back in quite a bit of my winnings....i had ground my way to being up $3,500 at the time of that $10K hit thru some lucky roulette and a $2K blackjack session at Golden Gate. Then hit big and was up near $13,500. Lost $4,500 after that....and that was attempting to preserrve and low roll. We just got steamrolled. So Saturday night and Sunday I lost like 95% of the bets I made.

That's all not too mention the physical effects of 40 nights this year in Vegas, which the way we roll, are NOT good. Liquor, cigars, fatty foods, no sleep.

Ready for a break in a lot of ways.

As always thanks for reading, I hope it wasn't too disjointed, boring, or too many errors. I don't have enough time to spend on a decent report so all I can do is a stream of consciousness effort!

me neither, that's why I'm stepping back and taking a break. I want a disconnect from my current play levels so i can reset to lower levels before the inevitable cold run hits.

Great way to finish the year.

Taking that check instead of the cash was so key...

That is very smart of you. I dont' blame you one bit. It's good to hear someone taking the house money and running. I'm interested to hear if your offers get better as time goes by to entice you back.

part of it is that its enough money to do some kind of warm weather trip with the whole family, which I guess I could still do, but its always sweeter with "found" money.

another part is that if I don't go Nov, Dec I know it'll be until late April because I'll be too busy with work. A 6-month break is normally enough to make a $25 bet seem BIG again.

I don't care much for winter visits, the only reason I did December and February last year was I had offers worth around $3,000 each time. I'd rather wait for pool season.

I am very curious to see what happens with the offers. I don't expect much because I have given enough history that any casino marketing exec with half a brain should see that I low play offers on a regular basis.

Short of trips with the wife this was by far the best trip I have had. The gambling was an absolute rollercoaster starting with a loss on the first night leaving Buffalo all the way up to the big wins on the Mississippi carny game the last night that brought me over my original bankroll to have a winning trip.:goofy: Vegas was packed this weekend with the U2, AARP, and confectionary conference but turned into a hoot with some of the things we saw.

I was going to write a T/R but much of the trip is way too fuzzy and included way too many late nights drinking:beer:, but it was a blast. But, I do have many pictures and videos, some good some that makes you go hmmmmm…:jester:

Hanging out with Beejay, Gaggles, and Corbyn was awesome and really makes it look as if Canadians really don’t get out much. It was great to see Beejay hit that $10k and $2k wins:woohoo:. This is now back to back trips where Beejay got that good old VP poke in with “Hey Jay look at this!â€:poke: Prior to the trip all we talked about was ultra low rolling for the trip and I think we blew that idea within 13 minutes of arriving at TI.

I think we averaged 8-10 hours of gambling a day, much less sleeping, and much more drinking than ever before. I have to say that I finally broke my praying to the toilet gods cherry:vomit::vomit: and if not for the wedding ring there would have been many clinical visits in the morning for the standard VD check.:confused2:

I have thwarted off any Vegas trips till April when the wife’s alternate ego, Domino,:wink2: will make an appearance back in Vegas and many mornings of deleting obscene pictures and santitizing will take place.:drooling: Pool weather will be back in full swing and the bankroll will be a little large after a longer winter of work. It would be great to get more people, couples, to go in April and maybe set up some powerhouse meets.

I am sure Beejay, Gaggles, and Corbyn will make the trip and we can top this trip with more stories, pictures, and videos.

Bart, by the way I think I won our $10 bet in regards to the picture, with the Gaggles pic at GG. We really didn't say which gender for the picture!:haha:

sounds good to me, that was a great time! As for the couples trip....I suggest you go see the movie "Couples Retreat" first. I did forget to include our sidebets in the trip report! I'll make one right now, I will bet you I will NOT eat 2 buffets in one day ever again AND I'll bet that I do not eat at the Blue Burrito Grille at the airport ever again!

Great full report, congrats on the win and can understand the take the money and book it elsewhere approach. Also nice job on capturing the dance talent at the dance pits, while none look bad when you are there, you seemed to catch all of the top tier from those spots.

Nice report, and again i'd have loved to get out with you up to drunken shanigans.

I just booked a christmas trip yesterday though with palazzo and aria so woot woot. I'm also pretty sure you won more then $50 at our craps session not that it matters compared to your other wins, well and losing the vp tourney to jason and all. That was actually the first time I had fun playing craps, which may be a good/bad thing.

I actually had a nice bet down on the yankees tonight so my christmas trip is now paid for weeeeeeeeeeee.

that reminds me I could not believe that prick dealer would not sign that Viagra sampler!.....or was that later at the same table? its all starting to run together.

its funny I got very "stressed" after that big hit at NYNY, stressed about losing it all back, which I did not enjoy. Usually I just have the given bankroll of a few thousand, expect to lose it, and if I get lucky and make a couple grand or break even or whatever its no big deal. but with that amount I actually had "something to lose" so it changed the dynamic for me and made the final 36 hrs less enjoyable (although i did take the check so i couldn't really lose it back).

I cant wait to check out Aria, but it will probably be a while for me. Have fun at xmas and I'll keep an eye out for that Aria report!

    Congrats on the tax problem

Better than trying to write off the losses in my opinion.

I will always take having to pay tax over losing.

I might take those bets on NOT eating two buffets again. I never eat at the airport anyway. Airport food is just not that good for me.

Loved the TR. Yeah, sometimes you just gotta take a break. Helps keep everything in perspective and you'll get the excitement back for future trips when you wait awhile. Hopefully next time you go, there will be a mega get together and I'll be able to party with you and the crew.

That last video was hilarious. I think we've all been there before. I think it's a metaphor, you're not gonna flush your winnings down the shitter LOL.
