    My Trip Report

This is my first attempt at a trip report but I have read so many of them on this board I should do alright.

Friday Night Arrived ½ hour early on SW and yes I used their new early bird check in and scored 2 exit row seats. Well worth the $20 on an almost 5 hour flight. Had some time to kill because we were spending Friday night in my ne in laws time share before going to TI on Saturday. We walked down to Ellis Island to grab some dinner. Dinner there was good (not great) and very reasonable. Played some Video Poker and won $55 which paid for dinner and then some.
Saturday Got up early (still on east coast time) and went to Terribles to get some breakfast. It was alright nothing special. We opened an account and enjoyed their free slot play and then headed over to Clark County Courthouse to get our marriage license. It was very quick and easy. I had to laugh because outside the courthouse there were plenty of people trying to get you to their chapel, reminded me of the porn slappers on the strip. After the courthouse we decided to drive by the chapel (Always and Forever wedding chapel) and see how we did with booking it over the internet. We were both very nervous but pleasantly surprised when we went inside and saw how nice it was. The only negative about the chapel is that it is tucked in behind the Palace Station and a little hard to find.
After the chapel we stopped by the M&M store and then headed up to TI. When we got to TI around noon there was only a small line to check in and I got my $20 ready to try the trick for the first time. I made the license and CC sandwich placed it on top of my reservation printout and placed it on the counter in front of the clerk and asked him if there were any free upgrades available and also that we were here to get married. He said I believe I can help you out and gave us a great room, 30th floor looking right down the middle of the strip and overlooking the pool. FIRST WIN!
Saturday afternoon the rest of the people that were flying out to be with us arrived (10 people). 2 of my really good friends from NY who I do not see that much now that I have moved south arrived at the Mirage and my wife and I went over to see them. We met my one friend who had just completed setting up his marker and he sat down at a BJ table. We watched him win $1500 in about 45 minutes and then he got up and we headed over to TI to eat at Kahunaville. All 12 of us met there and had a great time. The bartenders are amazing and we drank and did shots till about 8pm. The boys went to play BJ and we got our own table. Had a great time playing with friends and family. Only highlight was when I had $20 bet and split 4’s 4 times and had a double thrown in against a dealers 6. SHE BUSTED! We all left the table ahead and the rest of the evening was a blur.
Sunday We all met at the Spice market buffet and used the $5 off coupons (thanks board). The buffet was very good and we stayed around to gamble a little and let my wife and mother in law sucker me in to time share appt for Monday afternoon. About 2pm I grabbed my suit and headed over to the Mirage to get dressed and hang with my friends while my Wife had her hair and makeup done in our room. The wedding went absolutely perfect and my Wives hair and makeup was done amazing, she looked stunning! The minister was very good and everything about the Always and Forever wedding chapel was perfect. After the wedding we ate at the Grand Lux Café in the Venetian (another board thank you) and the food and service was 1st rate. This is where my Sunday night report ends…
Monday Met the group for breakfast at Dennys then went in and played some $3 craps which I got killed on. My friends then left to fly back to NY. We went the in-laws to our dreaded time share pitch at 2pm at Planet Hollywood. Here was the deal I was told, 90 minutes and you get $150 in table chips. Of course it went longer and was annoying as ever. The units were very nice but definitely geared towards a younger demographic then me at 41 and my in laws in their 60’s. I took their $150 in chips and we went to meet my parents for dinner before they go see Love. After dinner went back to P-Ho and turned their $150 in play chips into $250 in green cash while looking at scantily clad women at the pleasure pit. WIN!
Tuesday Went downtown for a bit then went back to TI for the day to gamble for the last time before heading home on Wednesday.
    Final Thoughts
TI was great and will be staying there again. The bed was by far the best I ever slept in.
I taught my father in law how to play BJ and he finished up $800 for the weekend. I guess it is better to be the student.
I got my new wife into BJ a little but she starts to sweat when she bets $5 (now we all know why I married her)
Thanks again to this board you all helped make this a perfect weekend and we are planning to spend our anniversaries in Vegas.

Glad you had a great time. I stayed at T.I. 2 weeks ago for the first time and loved it as well. I also did the $20 trick and got a large room, with an awesome strip view on the 33rd floor. Going back in November and will most likely stay at T.I. again.:licklips:

Gambling was very good at TI. The dealers were all very nice and on Tuesday there were 4 or 5 $5 tables and at least one still open around 8pm. Craps I never saw below $10.

The players club said they are switching cards in 2 weeks to their own.

I also forgot to mention we went to Hash House a Go Go with our Restaurant.com discount and it was very good. A very unique and expensive menu. I think even after our $10 off we were over $40 for 4 of us. The pancakes were so big it was way too much to eat.
