    My Trip Report

I just got back today after a four night stay at the Excalibur-Tried the $20.00 tip at check in around 11:AM and it did not work for an upgrade. They wanted $20.00 more each night for Tower Two .Our room in tower One was very bad. .No fan in bathroom and a musty odor in the room. The room looked very worn. Our view was a brick wall.I went to registration in the morning and complained and a very nice woman immediately gave us an upgrade to Tower 2 at no cost.Very nice room!

Went to Riveria and received free show tickets to a show-Barbara Streisand & Frank Sinatra for just signing up for a players card. The tickets were normally $59.95 each. The show was good.

We bought the three day duece pass for $15.00.Great deal

    any questions-just ask

Question about the duece, was it slow? Would it be faster to walk or take the CAT bus? Heard a lot of bad stuff about the duece (slow), not sure what to do for our trip?

going downtown from the strip, the deuce isn't that bad/slow. it's coming back from downtown that sucks. the bus is less frequent and there are always a ton of people. my wife and i walked back to slots a fun from downtown and arrived seconds before the first bus did!:beer::beer:

Yes, the widescreen rooms are just fine. The only (small) problem I had when I stayed in one a couple of months ago is that I could hear street noise, and I was about halfway up on the tower. It was not real bad but a little surprising.

I don't think they have bathroom fans anywhere in Vegas. Anyone know for sure? Nice that you were able to get a better room. Thanks for posting. :)

    Excalibur Tower 11 Rooms

The Tower 11 rooms do have a bathroom fan and exhaust. The room is very nice.

Some other comments about my stay:

Due to construction and heavy traffic to the hotel-the fare was $21.00
Going to the airport was half at $10.50

You can eat very cheaply at McDonalds in the hotel as they have a dollar menu.

We used the two for one coupons that you can print online for Nathans hotdogs at NYNY.Two of us ate for $7.00for lunch. What a bargain!!

There is only one tram working between Luxor & Mandalay Bay.

Only half of the escalulators in Vegas are working .We were told it was a cost measure.

We bought a three day duece bus pass for $15.00.It is $7.00 for one day.

The Duece travel time is very very slow.Allow at least one hour and half to get from Excalibur to Freemont Street

The slots were the tightest I ever saw.Everyone was complaining about it.
