    My Trip Report

Monday February 23 7AM temp 14 below landing temp 67
Flew out of Appleton on Allegiant Air, our flight only cost us 93 dollars , flight was on time, not too bumpy and the
pilot(Matt) was very entertaining. Landed on time and after waiting for the normal annoying passengers to mosey their
way off the plane we were off and running, hit the tram , some guy offered me his seat while another dufus stood in
front of 2 seats and let my friend hang on to a pole. Nice manners dude. My husband and I were accompanied by
2 of our friends this was there third trip to vegas all 3 being with us. I was looking forward to going with another
couple, our last couple of trips have been alone and this is fine but sometimes it's fun to be with other people.
No taxi line and off were were on our way to Bally's our friend were staying there for 2 nights and then 2 more at Paris
we had all 4 nights comped at Paris, we knew our way around so was hopped out at Bally's and walked to Paris
No line at the platinum check in so we walked right up, didn't try anything fancy just asked for a king room, she told
us there were only queens available, I was bummed and she replied that room types are not guaranteed ( a little snooty)
I just replied it's nice to have the king while on vacation, she lost her attitude and told us to check back tomorrow and
she would get us a king, she said she starts at 2 and just come right up to her, don't even bother if there is a line.
Got to our room on the 17 th foor looking at the back of PH. Got the room organized for a late night return and off
we went to meet our friends at Bally's. This whole process probably took less than 90 minutes from landing and we
had our first miller lite in our hand. Played the "Hello Kitty" machine and cashed out 60 from my original 20 so I
kicked back and watched everyone else play their first 20. Next we took the monorail to MGM , played a 20 there and
doubled that, had a couple more lites and watched. Then we went to hooters to sign up for their card and get a
free 100 dollars in play . LOL they give you 100 to play on their 5 dollar machines. I was the only one of four that won
anything on the 100. you can't cash out you can win by getting 3 7's or by getting up to a buzillion dollars. I had
mine up over 200 but then it was like watching paint dry to get that thing back to zero so we could go to hooters for
wings and beer. We did get a coupon in the book to buy 20 wings and get 20 wings free, so this with a couple of
pitchers of beer and some fries and we got out of ther for 10 bucks a person, including tip. So far this vacation is
cheap. (yes cheap that is my motto) walked to New York not a bit of luck there, then we started walking back to home
base. Stopped at M&M store and then back to Paris for awhile, I hit the wall at around 11:30PM(2:30 at home)
so I stumbled my way back to the room. Ended up going to bed with 40 more dollars than I left home with.

    Tuesday February 24th
Woke around 7 and snuck down to get coffee, we were going to do the brunch at Paris so I didn't get anything to
eat. Crawled back in to bed and watched the Today Show for an hour and then we got a call from our friends
they were up and moving and we were going to meet them at the Buffet. Hubby made Platinum on our last trip so
we didn't have to wait in line for the buffet. The lines inside are kind of crazy people would stand in one long line
to hit 3 different stations, instead of just going to the one you want. I headed over to the crepe station, yum :licklips:
this was good as were the pastries, I didn't try too much other stuff but the guys weren't too thrilled with the food.
Oh yeah on the way to breakfast our maid stopped us and asked us when we were changing rooms, so we figure
this was something we should do right after breakfast, our room wasn't ready but we were told it would be ready by 3
It was only 11 and we had places to go, so off we went, hit CP, Harrahs, Casino Royale, IP, Flamingo. Few small wins
for all of us but nothing over doubling our initial 20. Went back to Paris to get our new room, same floor just a different
hallway. Had a partial view of the fountains and the side of Bill's. Gambled at Bally's for a while and then grabbed a
taxi to fremont street, nice driver asked us if we wanted quick or slow and we told him cheap. So he headed up the strip
it didn't take too long and he chatted the entire way, he was a driver in New York so Vegas was nothing for him.
Nice guy fare was just under 20 we gave him 23. Went to the Golden Nugget and then to Mermaids, this place cracks me
up, the wisk you in the door asking what you want to drink and then they track you down with your drinks, we were
playing elvis and hit a couple of bonuses so we were having fun, when she brought our beers she asked if we wanted
a couple of shots, we declined but she insisted on bringing us a couple of 'girly' shots. She brought us washington apples
which tasted like a shot of whiskey with a splash of apple pucker , whew ,that was strong.
got out of there after a twenty, Wanted to go to the Brew Pub at the Main St Station, they had a special that night
it was calzone for 2 for like 12 bucks, it was busy in there but we got right in, had the calzone for 2 a couple of beers
that didn't make it on our tab and some garlic fries (YUMMY) it was good and of course it came to 20 bucks a couple
including the tip! Played Roulette here for awhile, it was fun, some young kid kept coming up and putiing 5 bucks on
each of the last 9 numbers( 45 bucks a spin) and darn if he didn't hit about 4 out of 6 spins
175 bucks a turn, you can make good money but boy can it disappear fast.
Hit the California and then back to Fremont Street, went to Binions and played a couple of machines and one of
them I hit for 180 bucks (this is my biggest win on this trip) the machine had a 50 ish theme with rock and roll and
a juke box and stuff but I can't remember the name of it. Went to watch the show then, the first one was
American Pie, this was the best one I have seen. And couldn’t wait for the next one which was queen, this was good
too but not as good as the first, I think we caught one other one too but I don't recall what it was, In between
shows we gambled at Binions and 4 Queens, then we grabbed a cab back to Bally's, this guy took the freeway
and the fare was 22 bucks, well thanks for the long haul, we paid 23 on the way here you get 23 have a nice night:poke:
Things were a little fuzzy I'm sure we gambled at either Paris or Bally's but I don’t know which
one, Headed to bed , I know Jimmy Kimmel was on so it couldn't have been too late, but I didn't see much
of his show. Tallied it up in the morning and I've only spent about 100 dollars so far. 1/2 way thru the
trip and still haven't touched the gambling stash.
Days 3 and 4 to Follow

I like that hit and run strategy. It's interesting how the check-in clerk at the Paris changed their tone when you said that you just liked the king when you were on vacation.
