9/1-9/4

Well....so I posted about the upgrade before we left...and lets just say with that upgrade and the room rate, that was my only win in Vegas this time!

So here goes...
9/1..flight from MKE to LAS Air tran, not too bad, drank a few cocktails prior to leaving and then a few more on the plane...not a bad flight..just takes too long!
Crazy considence... I ran into a co-worker of mine on our same flight and then My hubbys uncle as well! Now I have never met this uncle of his so that was nice.
We get to Vegas and take a sedan to the Gold Coast...Check in at about 6pm, the room was awesome, sorry no pics, I wanted to get down to gamble so I figured we have 3 more days here Ill get some pics...oops. So there is no safe in the room and I usually put my daily budget in the safe for the remainder of the trip and I didnt seeing as there wasnt one, I carried it on me(mistake #1)

We get to a table $5 min so we play..Drink server comes and I order a triple baileys on the rocks..hand her $5, she was a great server, had about 5 more from her(with a $5 tip each time) and then she goes on break...but i see her and her relief talking and pointing to me, then she comes by right away..handed her another $5. She gets me a bout 3 more and then the original server comes back. So Im doing ok at the table...pretty much even. We get 2 shots of Patron and give her $20 and then thats were it went downhill. The original server leaves and I get another new one. And then my gaming goes down. I change to a $10 table and lose another $100 in about 20 mins. only one drink at that table.
I talk to Mark, a floor supervisor at the Gold Coast, about getting a comped buffet, and apparently they do not comp guests that are staying there?? I did manage to get 3 packs of cigs from the server tho that was good. So we talk to Mark a little more and he tells us just to eat and charge to the room and when we check out to see about the comps.
We ate at the diner in the Coast and well, I may have been slightly intoxicated, but it was bad. My bun was freezing and to top it off the busser filled my water and brushed her arm on the bun....ha it was funny tho.
So I know that I told you about losing $200, but some how I managed to lose $550 and I could not tell you where it went?!?

So its about 5 am and we call it a night.
Wake up at 8 am and ready to drink!
The uncle calls to see our plans, were on the shuttle to Bills and headed to O'sheas, where I lose 40 in 3 hands of let it Ride....lame. not one drink..I wasnt ready anyway. Feeling a little shitty from the night before!!
Off to walk the strip a little. Stop at the Casino Royale little slot pull thing, and win $100 in free slot play, which is a waste of time, you only win if you hit a jackpot, took me forever to play it down!
off to TI..I love this place, we found a nice little $5 table we all sit down and play...I am the only one a head so they all go to the bar. I only bought in with the 60 I had left and leave with $120. Head to the bar to find them, they had about 3 shots there, all but the uncle, who was driving so no alcohol for him! sit there for a bit, and back to the tables. found a few more pits and played some Roulette, bought in for $20 and left with $60 (i think)
back to my table I go...having great luck one on one and then a few ppl join and its bad, so I follow the relief dealer...luck changed again...for the good. so i have $300 and follow him to Pai Gow..lost 20 not bad. then I see the hubby, and I can tell by his mannerisms that he is DRUNK....find out he had about 6 shots of Cuervo and 5 beers in that hour...so after a little tif with the floor and dealer, we leave. Not before I get my free pack of cigs
Off to Harrahs, only have $10 three card, so I ask the floor if I can play $5 she says yes as long as no one sits down, I wasnt there long enough for that to happen! look of at the hubby and he had 2 rocks glasses empty...those were full shots of patron...uh oh.
Off to Ellis Island...
Use the ACG cupons for 2-1, 4 free cocktails and $5 matchplay
won $20 on the table and here our number called so I left the table..
so were all at the table and my hubby was well incohereant, hands holding up his head, and not looking well. Then he stands up and walks out of the resturant. I had uncle Dave follow and so I get up and see a machine to put a $10 in. Win 10 and go to the new Wheel game and hit for $85. (i hate slots but I wanted to see how josh was so I was passing time!
So Now, our food comes and Josh and Dave come back. I am not sure why I even ordered him food, but I did. The steak was Awesome.. I thought it would be good for the value or whatever, but it was a GOOD steak!

Alright.
So like I said I did drink a LOT...so its hard to get the memories back!
After Ellis Island we dropped off Josh at the hotel so he could sleep and we headed downtown.

Parked at the GN...its suprising how much more packed the casinos are there than strip. The only gambling I did was at the Fitz, had a shot of Patron to put in my football! Loved it!



Played the slots, we put $60 in a $1 machine and lost it bad... not one winning spin.... grrr. then we went off to Sams Town for my BDAY!!
it just hit midnight as we hit the 3 card poker table! not one winning hand after a few I left. off to craps...hit a good roll for me and then followed by crap. But I made up for my 3 card loss. Decided to get into a cash game of poker with my friend, I think that we sat down for about 15 mins, not one hand left with the same thing I bought in for. kinda felt silly, but I was drunk. Didnt care too much.


So it was about 230 am and we go back "home"
I am completly Sh*tfaced at this point, play some more poker and get my ass handed to me. I hate Limit, and I hate not getting a hand. (more or less, I should have had some coffee and less alcohol)
I met a very cool woman at the table tho! She was kicking some ass for me! ha I lost about 140 and then on the way to the tables i lose another 40 on stupid slots!!! ahhh silly me!

I head to my BJ table where I have had luck in the past and well I didnt do too bad that time either!
As I am sitting there I see Josh walk up and I wish I had a camera for this one, his eyes were 3/4 the way shut and face all puffy. HA I told him then that he probably shouldnt gamble. He did tho, not too sure how he did but i was down about $50 on that table and I was taking kamazee shots with the table, drinking all kinds of birthday drinks....

thats about all I can recall. I do remember waking up in bed with a half eaten peice of steak next to me?!?! it was bad, I think a combo of all the drinks really kicked my ass.

Hungover as heck, I didnt wake up until 1030, going to bed well past 6am tho...so not too bad. But we did miss the breakfast buffet, again

Well so far the only thing my trip will have in common with yours is the AT flight from MKE, LOL. I definitely couldn't keep up with you!!

 

I dont know how I kept up with myself!

 

Damn that's alot of drinking; but, that's what Vegas is there for...well, that and gambling. But if the gambling isn't going well getting drunk is easy.

 

ham73 - My funeral arrangements would be utilized if I had that much booze in one day. Hope the rest of the report is forth coming and your pics are good.

You know what? I read the trip report and hear the gambling lingo spoken so well and then I see the photos of how YOUNG you folks are.
I'm 50 and didn't make my first trip to Vegas until my 40's.
And it's times like this that I could kick myself in the ass for NOT going to Vegas earlier in life when I could have handled all the grind with style....excluding the head in the salad!

Ya know this was our 3rd trip to Vegas and I was there on my 21st Birthday and I never got carded so much! it was CRAZY! But I have been gambling in casinos for abut 5 years and I have a LOT of family (myself included) that work in the casino business, thats probably where the lingo would come from! So, I am trying to remember where I left off...Its not even coming back to me! SO my Birthday day...I was SUPER hung over. We went to Red Rock, which was beautiful, I love the casino bars. loved it! I played roulette and a few slots, the Happy Days on was pretty fun! I just wanted to get the bonus, and on my last spin off $40 i get 18 free spins and doubled my money! I do not like slot at ALL so unless Im drunk I wont waste my cash on them! I wish I had some pics for you, I wanted to take a Pic of Cherry's entrance but they guy yelled at me!! grr.
So from there we go to the Rio, with I really do like. We were there pretty much the rest of the night. The 3 others go to the seafood buffet, and I do not like seafood enough to eat $40 worth to make the price wporth it! So i get a pretzel! Only ate half, my stomach wasnt right!! I had about 5 bucks left, so I played some Keno...4 games and got a drink. Watched my "beveravtainer" do a little dance, I really wanted to tip her for that but I didnt win a buck on Keno! I go to find them after about 2 hrs of walking around the Rio. He was at Carribean Stud, where he was all morning! They said the buffet was amazing and he ate more crap than he has ever eaten. They all agreed that was definatly worth the money! So josh hands me 5 bucks to play the field on the crap table, I do..too bad it was a $10 min table, so some guy tops my bet for me and I won! Tried to give him the $5 back, he said no! That was the 2nd time that happened today, at the Red Rock a VERY nice man threw me $25 at roulette. I asked for black, lol..
I got green! anyways so I have money! $20! whooo haha. katie and I walk to the Gold Coast and hang in the room for about 10 mins and then we get a call that they are going to the strip. SO we get in the car and head for the strip. ACG book in hand....which I left in the car, so I only used the 3 coupons at Ellis Island and nothing else!! We play at Bills for a while, I flip flop with my $20 and get up to $25 where i walk to craps and get too scared to put it all down on the field...so I wait and I would have DOUBLED MY MONEY!! ahh silly it wasnt mine to begin with so why was I so scared!?!? so I get $5 chips and play just the field, I get it up to $45 ish and then down to nothing. So of course I want to leave. but we go to ballys and finish out our night. I ate at the resturant, and that was about it. We watched the band play and all kinds of people up front dancing...looked fun! I was broke so we just walked around, saw a BUNCH of hookers...omg I couldnt believe it!

We head to the Gold Coast and I was handed $40 from my uncle so I played it with my matchplay and won. I was up to $80 and then the cards just went bad, super bad. I lost it all after playing on that table for an hour or so. By now its 5am and we have no money left...none of us. So we wake up at 8 to get to the airport and no one has cash to get there.. that was fun!

Check out was nice all of our food was in deed comped and they were super nice about it too!
Great experience at the Gold Coast, would definatly stay there again, but I really want to go to the Rio next time!!
