    Good TR.

Let me get this right. You walk away from a slot with five hundred bucks in it, and they are going to arrest the guy that found it? I wonder what the rules are on that?

Great trip report; I really enjoyed it! It has me very excited for Wednesday to arrive! Vegas here I come. I've never been to the Orleans, but I think I will make a point of heading over and trying to hunt down your Poker machine!

    Thanks for the nice comments.

Dougie..I was surprised to hear the security guard say that too.
I have always known that if you find a hundred dollar bill on the floor...you are SUPPOSE to turn in into the casino, but how many of us would actually do that?

This is kind of different. He KNEW someone would be coming back for that ticket momentarily....which he why he spun once and ran. Kind of an acknowledgment of guilt if you ask me.

I must say I am enjoying your report immensely!!!

I find it very interesting how easy it was for you to travel and enjoy yourself with someone who was not 21. My daughter is continually harping on me to take her with me. She insists she will shop and sit at the pool all the time. I keep telling her it is the shopping part that really worries me!!!!!

I also envy you the ability to have a HET property close enough to you that you can play and accrue points/comps at. We have only tribal casinos which are very tight and don't provide the comps that HET/MGM etc would provide. Plus they are very small sets of casinos. My Labor Day offer from HET was only for $100.....sigh.......not worth the trip needless to say.

I'm also one of those masses of people that enjoys the Sahara buffet. It had by far the best coffee I have had in Vegas. My only Sahara complaint that I have been able to think of is slow drink service.

I did the slot boo-boo with a $100 chit at Flamingo. Unfortunately it was a long way back to the restrooms that I used so by the time I came back it was gone. They checked it and it had been cashed at the redemption machine about 20 feet away. I was 99% sure it was the two ladies on the other end of the row because they wouldn't look me in the eye when I asked them if they had noticed anyone there. But for the $100 security of course didn't review film. Now I am VERY careful. A few trips back I did find a $40 chit laying in a machine tray at Harrahs when I sat down - you often find 1 cent or two cent ones people will leave sit. So I ignored it the entire time I was playing - sat there for well over an hour and no one ever came back for it. Picked it up and here it was $40 or $45! I'm afraid after that hour plus I figured it was mine, LOL.

Thanks for the comments everyone. So happy you are enjoying the report. I love writing them almost as much as I love living them. :blowkiss:
Jgates...... I started taking my son when he was 17 and we still had a blast!
By all means take your daughter. Just the eating out, shows, and sightseeing aspects of Vegas are enough to entertain people that age.

Can't think of much more to say than has already been said in the replies on your website and the replies here - this is the best trip report I have ever read. Even if you hadn't won, the trip report would have still been good because you included so much info and facts. The fact that you won just made it that much better. Can't wait til my trip in October.

Blonde - wow! - what a trip. Thanks for the link. Definitely chose some high tone establishments for most of the trip.

Yes I know. You did a great job with your board. I will try to stop by more often. I'm going to PM you my email address so we can stay in touch for next time. I believe I owe you a drink.

I was planning on cancelling that trip actually since I just went 2 weeks before. Work became a real headache and they were doing stupid stuff and I decided it would be a great time to get away and let someone else clean up the mess! They'd already approved my vacation time, so why not...*LOL*

That was an incredible TR. I can hardly imagine bouncing around from hotel to hotel like you were. But in that way you got to check out a lot of different offerings by the hotels.

Nice job on the 2 royals as well.

Thanks Don. I don't mind the moving, especially now that I just checkout by phone. It is like a whole new trip every time you change hotels! I love that!
