Awesome read, well presented, enjoyed the video. You know how to execute a Vegas Trip.
Did you get any rubber duckie prizes? I know that can't be the most important question I have
    after reading the report, but.......

Thank you all for the comments.

Shobi, I hardly took any pictures, but as I get some from friends' cameras (if any), I'll be sure to share.

Angie, just looking at the tower as I lounged at the pool, I'd say about 65% of the standard rooms have balconies. All the one-bedroom suites are situated in the corner and either have two balconies on the lower floors or one wrap around balcony on higher floors. They'd make a great party place for a bunch of degenerates ;).

Drea, they have knock-offs of that crap? Like 23-cent-an-hour Chinese slave labor is worthy of being knocked off...

Mikey, good to know, but you wouldn't want me calling you at 2am belting out guitar riffs, would you?

Marty, I came so close to asking the security guard if I could take a picture, but I didn't want to blow the privilege. Here's a PR photo from Palms, though:

It's funny because they actually try to make the view not look as good as it really is since they know it'll cannibalize sales of their Fantasy Sky Villas.

VP, I pulled a view duckies out, but no prizes.

Great report and video tour. The suite looked awesome... although I'm not sure about the bathtub in the bedroom thing??

I guess I should start reading GQ more often than in my dentist's waiting room... who's Ed Hardy?

As always an excellent tr and video tour. No matter where you stay you seem to add style and pizzaz. The deal you got for Palms Place, was that through AMEX?

The pic of you "having the best time," is an instant classic.

Looks like it was a great time.

Thank you all again for the comments!

Hula, I've been waiting on pics for some time from everyone else's cameras, but something tells me I'll never see them. In either case, the cabanas at Palms Place are solid structures (not tents) and pretty basic with safe, unstocked fridge, telephone, ceiling fan, cushions, and flat panel television.

gmoney, thanks! The deal I received was through a promo that had come out early on with the hotel. I simply typed in "promo18" in the offer/code box when making a reservation. I believe it's expired now, unfortunately.

Tell me more about LAX. I've got some passes, but I don't know if I want to check it out or not. To give you some idea of my tastes, I don't care for Pure, but love Tao. I'll take VooDoo lounge over Ghostbar. I dig Blush, but Body English..eh.

(BTW, great trip report. For some reason I haven't written one in a while, despite scoring free buffet passes, seeing some celebs and getting into a club for free last visit. I am far too lazy.)

Farking, based on your criteria, I doubt you'd have a good time at LAX. If you're in the area and the passes really work, then sure, check it out. But definitely don't make a special trip just to see it.

That's kinda what I was suspecting, Joe. I think I'll save LAX for my last nite, since it shouldn't be a late one, and see what happens.

Catching up on my reading. Thanks for the great report. I totally agree with you about ******bag shirts. The guy that owns one of the big OC ******bag shirt brands lives in my area. He is a klepto. I called the cops on him for shoplifting while I was working at a video store part time in college. Cops knew him since he's also been caught stealing tanning lotion at the tanning salon next door.

You've piqued my interest in Palms Place. How is the Palms though? I used to like the place, but my last trip there was really bad. It was full of people not dressed well enough to get into the clubs causing trouble outside. Wannabe gangsters and trashy guys harassing women and trying to start fights with each other. I've would have taken all popped-collars over the people who were there. We left and ended up at a BJ table at another casino. Everyone playing at that table had actually left the Palms too because the crowd was so bad. There were some girls from LA that said basically it had been getting worse and worse with each of their trips and that they finally gave up on it. Wondering if it was just a bad night.
