    My Trip Report

After finally catching up at work, sort of, time to try writing TR. This is my first attempt so I will break up by topics, food, shows , etc.

    Travel:
Flew SWA from Nashville via Phoenix w/o issue arrived in LV @ 1255, short taxi line. Straight to Ceasars, no tunnel and didn't even have to ask. $20 including tip. Return trip was non stop. Only issues SWA full and on way to LV wife and I had to sit seperately.

    Hotel:

Ceasars Place check in was very quick, short line we were in room by 2 p.m., The $20 trick worked like a charm. We had booked a deluxe Forum room, slipped the $20 between my cards, small talk about being in LV, wifes first time at CP, etc, Asked about upgrade to a room in Augustus Tower w/view of Bellagio. We got Kg Suite, whirlpool tub, sitting area, flatscreen TV's in BDR and bath, separate shower, comp. robes, turn down service on the 38th floor with perfect view of bellagio fountains, Paris Effiel Tower. Very sweet upgrade for $20. Unfortunately this was about the only win all days, gambling pretty much a bust. Never even saw the guy pocket the money, very smooth. One line over people checking in were told they couldn't get a NS King room for several hours, should have slipped in a $20.

    Gambling:

Did get free drinks playing VP at bars in CP, Harrahs and Flamingo, small wins maybe $30 total, at least free drinks.Played craps at MGM 1st time had a guy from Seatle teaching us nice guy $200 later glad our show @KA was ready to start. Tried again at Paris did win about $50. Roulette @ NYNY and CP lost again at both. Blackjack several places never could get on a roll anywhere lost a couple hundy's. Normally can at least play for a while before lossing but just no luck, every chance to double would seem to hit 2 0or a 3 dealer showing 4 turns a 6 hits a face. Wife tried several slots WOF w/o luck. Played a lot of VP never sniffed a 4oak, don't know how everyone else seems to hit these all the time.....

    Shows:

KA - very good, acrobatics werer phennomenal, the story only so-so, but would pay again to see the stunts on the flywheel . Awesome!Hint do not order a large drink at the door $20 and it was easily 32 oz. bourbon and 7.

Jubilee - great Vegas style show my wife really enjoyed, "not raunchy, even though topless" Ladies were beautiful Great T**s. Dance numbers very good and definitely what you think of when you think Vegas. The transition acts were also good esp. the two Polish contortionist/acrobats..... the strongest two guys I have ever seen.

Wanted to see Rat Pack but didn't get downtown.

    Food:

Grand WoK (MGM) very good sushi, beef and asparagus, lettuce wraps good but you would do as well @ PF Changs if you don't want sushi $100 w/tip

Stage deli (CP Forum shops) great breakfast very reasonable CB Hash and eggs, wife H/C Omelette $20

Mon Ami Gabi (Paris) Very good, steaks and frittes, Bordelaise for me Au Povair for wife both good. The French Onion soup to die for, and views of fountains at Bellagio great. $125 w/tips, drinks, creme brulee for dessert.
Went up to Effiel Tower for drinks awesome view!!! We were in jeans felt under dressed even though they tried to get us to eat. Drinks 1 each $36 !!!

Galleghers - (NYNY) best meal we had and it was awesome, mixed reviews here but I will tell you one of the best meals I have had. I have eaten at Delmonicos in NO, Mortons, Ruth Cris, The Palms @ CP, several WP restaurants and this ranked with any of those. I had Cowboy bone in Ribeye, wife had filet Mingon both cooked perfect, shrimp cocktail(pricey but awesome shrimp and killer sauce very strong horseradish). For dessert sticky Bread pudding w/ice cream excellent. Our waiter was Roberto and he was fabulous, ask for him $200 w/ drinks, glass of wine, dessert and tip worth every penny!!!!!

Spago - Late lunch early dinner, had meatloaf very good, chicken salad sand. also good.

Pasteries and coffees at pastery/crepe shop in Bellagio a couple of mornings very good though pricey..sorry can't recall name.

Summary - great trip though would have been nice to win a few dollars. Vegas is still my favorite ADULT vacation destination and can't wait to go back!!!!!

Remember the HOUSE ALWAYS WINS IN VEGAS BABY! Thats how they build the casinos!!!

Very nice TR shooter, sounds like you had a great time. I think I will have to try Galleghers next time I go (sounds delicious)! May I suggest that you try Craftsteak at MGM, the kobe beef is phenomanal and the lobster bisque is delicious! :drooling:

That $20 was well spent; nice upgrade. I feel your pain with the VP had the same problem in December hopefully it will change when we're there in June.
