Ill in Vegas second week of December, obviously I’m assuming all hotels will show their Xmas decorations: wifey loves Xmas. With this in mind anyone have suggestion which hotel has best Xmas decorations or we should definitely check it out? Btw we never been to Vegas during winter months it will be our first time in December (we been going there almost 15 plus years but never December) any recommendations would be appreciated:)

I think Wynn, Bellagio (at the conservatory), Venetian, and Caesars Palace usually look the best on the strip. Resorts World has some sort of Christmas village thing this year, but it has a pretty steep admission fee. Aria has a few displays and a lot of decorations usually as well. Some of the other resorts just have minimal decorations like a random Christmas tree here and there, that sort of thing.

My experience is the mega resorts (Bellagio, Wynn, Venetian, Aria, CP etc) have decorations year around.
During holiday season, maybe a little more than other times, but not too much.
If you haven't been in December, I would say it's worth checking out all of them.

Resorts World isnt charging to see decorations in the casino or hotel. They have a massive outdoor 'event' called Enchant which has ice skating, some sort of ice maze, treats and activities for kids, santa claus, etc

This will be my 4th year in a row being there for Christmas. High temps in the afternoon are sometimes in the 50s or 60s, but last year a few days had highs in the 40s and overnight lows in the 20s almost every night. I was there for 11 nights last year, past new years, and it was below freezing every night I think.

Cosmopolitan isnt big on christmas decorations, but they do turn the Boulevard pool into an ice rink and play christmas movies out there in november and December. On weekends they do some kind of a more party vibe with snow machines making snow on the area. The ice rink is pretty small in my opinion, but it's no admission fee to enter the area, and skating is about $25 for skate rental, which is cheaper than the enchant thing, but not nearly as large

Weather? Just check out www.weather.com and look at the weekly forecast for LV, or try the local stations: Las Vegas Weather

As for ice skating after not being on the ice in a couple of decades?? Really? And when you sprain your ankle how much are you going to be enjoying your walks around the Strip?

The experience at Resort World is sponsored by Hallmark and isn't it the event that was at the speedway last year? I don't think of that like hotel/resort decorations - I think of it more like the lights experiences we all have in our home areas where you pay to enter and maybe drive through, with Santa and cocoa etc after you see the lights....

I compiled a “smallish” list of some things to see or consider doing on our upcoming trip in mid-December. Some are on the strip and others are off-strip. There are a few items that I have left off because I decided they were not something I wanted to consider this trip, but there are more items out there if you look to find them. Here’s a sampling from my list - please excuse the shorthand typing since I had a lot of item to try putting on the lines.

I haven't seen info yet this year, but when we were planning our Dec trip last year, the Park behind Park MGM or NYNY had a big tree and occasional "events" like carolers and Santa. Didn't make it over but it was on the idea list ;-)
