I noticed CET has changed the labeling on the packaged offers I get every month. You book using the Hotel Offer link and the freebies are attached automatically. They used to show the Book By date in the label:

Starting with the November book by date, it doesn't show in the label anymore, you have to look in the details window on the side:

So they improved the main list labeling by showing you the RC and FP amounts but unimproved it by taking out the Book By date and removing the "Book Hotel Offer by" wording, which told you that those freebies were linked.

This is only going to further confuse most people and make them even more upset when they plead and complain at the Caesars Rewards desk ^W^W^W casino cage about not getting the offer throw-ins while not booked on the specific offer (or maybe not booked at all and doing a drop-in visit).

Yeah, neither method of labeling is really clear until you figure it out.

I think what's more likely is people book the Hotel Offer and don't realize they also have freebies coming, because the freebies aren't mentioned when you get into the booking engine.

The old way, the first time you saw it, you basically had to decipher that the three rows were related from the similarity in the offer codes and the effective dates.

It's harder to tell now, they look like completely unrelated offers in the main list. Although there's no buttons to book the freebies separately, so at least you can't make that mistake.

I have always found their offers confusing. I recently called because I had a free play offer booked and wanted to switch from Bally's to Flamingo but couldn't see if my days were valid on the calendar for the offer. The woman I spoke to was happy to switch properties for me. I was quite relieved when she mentioned the $375 in free play that came with the offer, so I must have booked it correctly :).

@Chuck2009x - hope you don't mind me piggy backing a few questions on. I haven't had free play from a Caesars property since they handed out those little certificate things in $100/$50 denominations that you fed right into the machines. I'm assuming free play is just loaded on your card now, and that I will need to go the window to get it loaded?

Does it have to be used at the property you are staying at, or can it be used at any Caesars property?

    Thanks,

You swipe at a kiosk now and a bunch of icons/cards show up and one of them will represent your freeplay. You press it and my recollection is that they then give you a choice at that time of slot play or table vouchers.

If you pick slot play, it gets loaded on your account and you can activate it at a slot machine similar to MGM. If you pick table vouchers, it spits them out of the kiosk.

I think you can carry any unused free slot play around from machine to machine, not sure about property to property.

Table vouchers, not sure if they are portable by property.

Someone else here will know for sure.

Not sure if its all properties now. Last year some properties were linked to your 'My Bank' in the app and you could use FP loaded at all of them(not sure if it needed to be claimed at one of them to start though). Linq and CP were on a newer setup sometime during Covid. You can tell which machines cause the display is on part of the slot screen instead of the little display near the bottom. It was actually much better cause you just put your card in and then opened up the app on your phone and hit 'My Bank' and if it detected your card in the slot machine it would display some identifier for the machine then you could just type in how much you wanted to load and it would take a few seconds and the machine would go into AFT lock and load your selected amount. The bonus with the new system is you type your pin into your phone so its not on display for everyone nearby to see. The ones with the little displays at the bottom always had stupid amounts like 5 10 20 ALL as options and if you wanted to load like a $100 in FP you'd have to do $20 5 times. Seeing that the displays in LV have number pads, it never made sense to me.

I do however remember around that time that someone reported they lost their FP cause they were at CP near the expiration and it didn't show up and they were told it was loaded at Paris and they'd have to go there and they decided to say screw it cause it was late and it was like $25 in FP.

If it hasn't changed since January, you were able to claim your free play at any CET casino on their kiosks. It would be downloaded to your card. Whatever casino you claimed it at, it would only be good at that casino.

In addition, if it hasn't changed since January, if you downloaded all your free play on one machine( let's just say for example you accidently downloaded your entire $700 free play on a penny Kitty Glitter machine that you meant to dl $20 to:confused::blink:), don't panic. You can play whatever amount you want, and when you pull your card out, the remaining amount will go back on your card and be available. However, that reduces the amount of time before the free play expires to 24 hours. It's usually good for 48 or 72 hours, I forget which.

Oddly, Another packaged set of offers loaded for me that have the same wording, but the dates ranges are different and no 'must book by date'. The dates on the must book by packages are 12/1-6/30 must book by 12/31(5 nights, $250 FP/$250 RC). The new set is from 12/1-3/31(5 nights $225 FP/$75 RC). I haven't been to Vegas since Dec 2021 and my rating appears to be the same based on other types of offers. The old set were always worse than my other offers, but the new set is laughable. When playups, straight FP offers, asian offers, and such are all in the $1000-$1200 range then wtf is $225FP/$75RC. I hope its just some stupidity and not indicative of a cut in offers.

Yeah that lower one looks like a one-off.

I've been getting two sets of this type offer each month for a long time.

Currently, one is for nearer term dates and the other is for farther out. Notice that the nearer term one has no resort credit, and less FP. This has been the structure for mine the last year, maybe two years.

    upload_2022-9-30_15-15-37.png

Prior to that, they'd just send me two identical sets each month that could be booked for dates up to a year out.

The change to staggering the dates and making the farther out one more valuable is a pain in the ass. I'm expecting a bump in my FP & RC, maybe in November cycle, maybe in the December cycle, based on my August trip. But at that point, the more valuable offer of the two will have a start date of May 1 or June 1, which is too late for the next trip I'm planning.

Its not the staggered packages. I have those and now another one with a shorter date range(4 months, instead of 6 or 6 with a 3 month delay). The new one has no 'must book by date' in the text of any of the offers.
    Old offers:

    New super cheapo offer:

Note the same start dates. The cheapo offer is in all CAPITAL letters though, so it must be extra special.
