What roof incident are you referring to? If it is Monica flying off the roof, it was Danny that was with her not Ed. Not sure what other roof incident there was.

I love the line in the episode where Ed says he has never seen The Godfather.

One of the greatest episodes in TV history, LOL. But, yes, not sure Ed was ever implicated. He was charged with stealing money on the final day of the old Montecito. Forget how that turned out. Ed was a tough guy and a shrewd casino manager, but not dishonest.

Oh yeah, was thinking that was Ed for some reason.

So sad. My husband and I went to the Mob Experience at Flamingo. We had a blast. Of course we failed. For those that did this y’all know what I’m talking about.

I literally watched that episode two days ago. At first they suspected Ed and his team. But in the end it was a guy from the Gaming Commission and the Pit Boss Robbie Giarusso, that stole the money.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Caan. Thank you for all the great movies.

I loved all your movies but I loved Killer Elite and A Bridge Too Far.

This really bites. Their aren’t to many actors I really really respected & had admiration for, but he’s one of them.

Just came across another of his great works I forgot, Thief with James Belushi. Michael Mann directed. You can feel that Miami Vice is on it's way.

I was actually in the movie "The Gambler" as he and Lauren Hutton walked into Binions downtown. Then, same as today - I was playing a slot machine. Nickels then, and standing.

    edit
(Lauren's last name corrected... I know better... LOL)

I had that scene queued up when a kid came over to take my daughter on a date. Very effective.

    RIP.

I watched some of one of my favorite movies last night, "Rollerball". The action scenes were executed very well for its time. And had a decent plot unlike that shit remake.

Rollerball is one that's meant to be seen on a movie screen.

Sadly before my time. But I watched the remake on the big screen and was highly disappointed.

My introduction to it actually began with a TV Guide listing (remember TV Guide? Haha) on local over-the-air television. The description sounded interesting. But I didn't tape it for some reason. It was shown on Saturday night at something like 2:45 am. But soon afterward, I insisted my mom rent it. I couldn't because I was ~11 and it was rated R (could be PG-13 today, especially with an edit or two). Loved it. Also got into classical music more because of it. And bought the soundtrack conducted by André Previn when it appeared on CD.

Another weird connection, it has a memory in the first high-school party I attended. It was down the street from my parents' house, so I walked there. I got a lot of "tring!!!!" (Substitute my last name for "tring".) comments since most of them thought I would not be there drinking beer with them at ~15 *coughs* because I was a major school dork. But the party got out of control and the cops were eventually called. Fortunately, I got back home without issue. What was on TNT when I came home? Yeah. Nice night.

I actually made my ex @bearybear and M watch it soon after I began to date each one of them. Stupid moves on my part because I'm 99.54% sure they both suffered through that movie to make me happy. I didn't make either watch it ever again. But they both didn't summarily dump me over that at least. I also took @bearybear to see "Ali" on our first date. I'm really a dumbass.

But when M got a vinyl printer, she made me this per request. A "Jonathan E." jersey shirt. Pardon the hair, it's been about 3 months now. Got it last cut just before Vegas. @JSR1968, @luck.ofthe.draw, @Flowers, @44inarow, @subafrk, @TIMSPEED, @Aaron5, @sindustry, and @Nevyn can attest it was much shorter then. Lol

I also have Madrid's "Belmonte" (#9) because that was clearly easy to pull off. Just a 180 degree flip. No one has ever stopped to either ask or recognize what either these shirts mean in public. Lol
