Just stumbled across this site - haven't explored it in depth to see how worthwhile it is, but at first blush looks like there could be good information here, along the lines of the incredibly awesome post Vegasbound compiled of restaurant menus. This one is mostly restaurant reviews:

    http://www.ieatvegas.com/

I'll "sticky" this post for now, so we can see how useful it might be.

This used to be part of www.a2zlasvegas.com. Now they're redirecting restaurant traffic over to the link Kikky provided above.

For some good reviews (mainly on higher end places) I like to visit the Chowhound board for the Southwest (which includes Las Vegas) www.chowhound.com

I visit the South board too to find out about places near me:thumbsup:

And let's not forget the local paper: Heidi Knapp Rinella does the Restaurant reviews for the LVRJ. New reviews come out on Fridays and her Wednesday column is usually about food-related things, like people looking to find a certain kind of food or food festivals, etc

    The Best Reviews

For the best reviews...ask a local. We really know the best places, and are not paid to advertise!

That is how we find out the best places is by asking one of our friends!

    Example
Best Sunday Brunch...the Veranda inside the Four Seasons hotel located inside Mandalay Bay! :licklips:

    Enjoy,
    Bill

The same locals that routinely vote Olive Garden the best italian in Vegas:poke:

"Best" is completely subjective. All reviews posted online, in a magazine or newspaper, or given to you by a local or visitor - they're just opinions. Sure, I'd like to know your bias - are you affected by advertising or not, did you have a bad visit once, does your family own the place, etc. But ultimately I view each review as a piece of information I compile to make my decision about where to visit:peace:

Thanks Westie, we follow your reports on Las Vegas Advisor, and now will look forward to your posts here. Not as much action on the LVA anymore.

    Two thoughts:

    LOL

    Spot on

Reviews need context and they are far far more helpful and accurate with breadth of experience. If someone eats at one steak restaurant and avows it the best in town it's the best in town ... for that person and his/her one experience. If someone pans a Prime ribeye for being too fatty and suggests Sizzler instead ... that person might not understand the why and how of USDA Prime.

    P.S. Westie rocks.

Does anyone like this place as much as I do? A few doors down from White Castle.
