Table seemed short, which I like. If you’re driving by it’s worth stopping by.

I need to make a rough estimate but I believe I easily spent over $500 tipping cocktail waitresses, bartenders and dealers.

Ok so yeah up just under $600 for gambling for the trip but that’s with hitting two royals for $3K total. I lost nearly $1,200 on baseball, oops lesson learned and sorry for thinking housekeeping at El Co stole it.

Hate to tell you this, but you can't bet on games that ended 22 years ago. Also, I think you can just go on the internet to see results from 1950-2000 ;)

I'm surprised Biff's joint ,the [Union] Plaza, takes sports bets since they know how susceptible they are to time travelers.

What was your take on craps in Laughlin? We've only been twice. Once on a Caesar's junket to Harrahs. Harrah's was too expensive and too far away from everything.

The water taxi was cool and we enjoyed Aquarius and Edgewater. We haven't been anywhere else. Any other craps places you suggest? We are low rollers and enjoyed Laughlin for the $5 tables at Aquarius (during the week)

Kind of disappointing craps conditions. Everyone was at $10, mostly empty tables because of this, would imagine they revert back to $5, people aren’t giving Laughlin tables any action at that limit. Same could be said for Vegas tables where way under played at the current higher limits.

Only table I saw at $5 in Laughlin was GN. They open I believe at 2PM and BJ dealer said it’s $5 during weekdays.

Aquarius was $5 for there roll to win plastic, no chips table other real table was $10 and empty. Even next door at Edgewater it was $10 and empty.

BJ was good though. $10 SD and DD hand pitched games where you touch the cards and pays 3 to 2 on BJ. I still prefer blowing my money on craps in the pit.

Ok wrapping this thing up. I will make another one two posts and a post in a couple days with my spreadsheet of all my notes once I load it, hopefully that record and some win loss statements from the Downtown properties, AZ Charlie’s and Aquarius will offset most of my W2-G.

Really want to thank all the great VMBers that posted here. It really was cool to share with others while going solo for two weeks, never felt lonely.

Definitely want to thank all the VMBers that took time to meetup with me.

@azlefty thanks for organizing the LVA downtown coupon run and the good dice rolling on the GG matchplay.

@Philonous815 really big thanks for meeting up with me. I learned a lot from such a savvy gambler like you. Enjoyed the comped buffet at SP and enjoyed watching you negotiate it at the host office even more. Your advice prompted me to see the host at the D and was able to get a night of GG suite upcharge knocked off. $200 all in for the “suite” was worth it.

@Tarpie, thanks for buying my Opium tickets. Really thanks for inviting me to dinner at Hugo’s with your friend and @Philonous815. Enjoyed talking about the old poker days and drinking old Wild Turkey 101 at Hugo’s bar.

@3OfDiamonds so cool bumping into you at GG and getting to see a real pro at work grinding VP. Enjoyed lunch at 8 East. Actually saw you walking to the bus station with your luggage the last day but you where to quick for me to catch up and say bye.

@notfromconcentrate Your awesome, thanks for letting me crash your USS Riverside boat ride and Gourmet Room dinner with @eliza. Thanks for introducing me to the SD BJ game at the Riverside and for the company.

@eliza I swear I wasn’t following you but it felt that way with how closely our trips matched with a similar stretch at Laughlin, Az Charlie’s etc, visits to downtown Henderson, Eureka, etc. Not an accident as I did model my trip after your previous reports. The way you do Vegas is very similar to how I like to do Vegas.

I believe that. I think JR and I tipped close to that amount on our last trip but I was lucky enough to get two handpays. But those only accounted for $100 of the total. I can't help but think people don't factor tipping into their Vegas budget and when they leave Vegas they are probably wondering where all the money went?? Well, if you are a decent person, a good chunk went to tips.

Well that’s it other than me posting my spreadsheet. Lessons learned from this trip report. I plan on doing a similar one next summer but with way a few changes.

    - Will play way less VP.

    - Even if I can get similar offers at Golden Gate and The D such as the LVA coupon, will only play $10K at the D Vue bar. That should be enough for a room at the D which I’m fine with it. Will never grind 12 hours of quarter VP at GG ever again.

-If they do a similar offer next summer at 4Q and Binion’s I’m only going to play the $16K through at the 4Q. Life’s too short to grind BP at the back of Binion’s.

-Definitely going back to Southpoint, it’s a great property and a great break from Fremont/Mos Eisley. Great promotions, good food options, big comfy hotel room, like the poker room and sportsbook.

-Definitely going back to Laughlin if I do a long trip to Vegas. Will try to go to break up Vegas portion, mid trip. It’s a great place to unwind. Will stay at Aquarius hopefully on a comp.

    - Will play more live poker next trip, especially Omaha 8 at Southpoint and Orleans.

    - I’m done betting over $100 game on first 5 inning bets on baseball. I’ve won doing this on previous trips. Either my handicapping no longer can beat them or more likely I was just lucky in the past. Either way I’m now down to betting like $10, $20 game for fun.

Thanks for the info. We planned to drive down to Laughlin from Vegas one day in September. However, if they don't have $5 craps tables during the day, we may just skip it. I can stay in town and go to Ellis or Jerry's or Cannery and play at $5.

When we were in Laughlin in Dec, Aquarius and Edgewater had $5 tables during the week and went up to $10 on weekends. We might check out the Nugget next time. Glad you enjoyed Laughlin. The water taxi is nice and relaxing. A fun way to travel between casinos.

I did go on a Wednesday night through Friday morning. Maybe it drops to $5 on Tuesday’s and Wednesday during the day. I’m also thinking they’ll need to drop it or get rid of the tables.

It was great meeting up with you and the lunch was fun too  lol I have my moments when I’m in the zone playing vp; gotta make the most of those so when Squirrel Brain kicks in I can chill for a bit without wondering if I’m going to make my daily goals :) Thanks for the TR - it was a lot of fun following along

Just realized this is South Park Mexican from Houston. Made the news for being a scumbag child molester. Hopefully he stays locked up for a long time.
