Yes. But online doesn't reflect my updated status.

Per rule 7 of the T&C

"7. In order to participate in the Promotion, a participant must visit a participating MGM Rewards desk in-person and produce and present his/her valid competitor loyalty card (with his/her name printed on the card) from an eligible competitor program (together with his/her valid government-issued photo identification) to receive his/her Tier Match in the MGM Rewards Program subject to these Promotion Rules. An individual may request an additional Tier Match during the promotional period subject to these Promotion Rules if he/she subsequently becomes eligible for a higher Tier Match."

You can certainly try, but the rules say valid card and ID. Report back and good luck!

Surprised they haven't added Wynn Rewards to the list yet.

I did the status match from TR diamond to MGM gold in August, at the Luxor they wouldn't accept the CET app status as shown, I had to get a physical card from CET with an expiry date on it.....there was a fair amount of hemming and hawing about the app data at the Mlife desk, some may let it work, who knows?

Look closer at the list of places from which MGM will accept matching tier. It's from mid-2020. At that time, Wynn did not have a tiered loyalty program in Vegas. Also, the tiers at Venetian (Grazie) are now different than what is on the list. Furthermore, Eldorado's One Club and Trop Advantage are still on that list, and those are now Caesars Rewards. (Bonus: Montbleu is now Bally's Lake Tahoe, and Twin River is still on the list as Twin River.)

Clearly, nobody bothered to update the list.

Yeap, I've noticed that too. Wonder if people tried to match and got push back from CSR if their stated tier is not listed or listed as something else different from their list.

I was curious as well, I status matched in 2020 as well but don't recall how long it took to show up. I plan to match this weekend again but may also call an audible and stay at Vdara instead of Bally's. Having the resort fees removed would solidify that decision.

I didn't see it in the terms, but is the MGM Rewards a one time only match? I matched CET Diamond to Mlife Gold last year. Can I match CET Diamond to MGM rewards Gold again this year?

For you or anyone else that has matched to MLIFE Gold previously or in the future, you can just match to Hyatt Explorist once you get MLIFE Gold. Since they have a partnership, you can match back and forth (Same as the Caesars/Wyndham partnership) online easily every year.

I matched to Gold (via CET Diamond) in December but now the MLife/MGM Rewards site is showing me as Pearl; the rules of both the promotion and MGM Rewards indicate I should still be Gold through the end of the year (or actually January 2023). Not sure what to do, but everything I read clearly indicates I should be Gold :hmmm:

Matching in December only gives you status till January 31s1, 2022 since that's when it expires as you matched and did not earn it organically. Since MGM is matching new and existing customers, you can always do the match again.

Rule 10 of the status match promotion states:

Matched Tiers are subject to the MGM Rewards Rules (click here) and will be valid through the following Tier Status Benefit Year as described in Rule 16 of the MGM Rewards Rules.

Rule 16 of the MGM Rewards states:

A member who advances to a higher Tier status(s) in this manner will retain such higher Tier status(s) for the remainder of the current Tier Status Benefit Year and the entirety of the following Tier Status Benefit Year.

So it’s pretty clear to me that the status from the match should last through the end of the 2022 status benefit year (ending January 31, 2023) since I matched in the 2021 status year. If that’s not the case then their rules need rewriting :hmmm:

Fair enough. I can see how that can be interpreted as such, at least with the line you quoted. But it's missing the context from the previous line which states "In addition, a member may advance to one or more higher Tier status at any time during a given Tier Status Earning Year if the member has earned and/or accumulated the minimum amount of Tier Credits required for such higher Tier status(s) (as identified by MGM and listed on its MGM Rewards Program website). A member who advances to a higher Tier status(s) in this manner.....". So the line you quoted isn't applicable for tier matches. I believe that program rules page is mainly for earned tier status and there's usually a separate page for the rules and T&Cs specifically for tier matches.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that's how it's always been, extensions due to COVID aside. Most program tier matches, whether it's casino, hotel, or airlines.. .etc; are usually only applicable for current year unless earned organically or stated otherwise. AFAIK, it's always been like that for MLIFE and CET tier matches. That's why most people usually try to match during beginning of the earning year to fully take advantage of the benefits.

FYI, when you match over to MLIFE again, just match your MLIFE Gold to Hyatt Explorist as they have a reciprocal partnership. Unlike the CET match which can take days, MLIFE/Hyatt matches are usually instant. This way, if you don't earn or retain MLIFE Gold, you can just use your Hyatt status to match over back to MLIFE without having to visit a property. Basically the same as the year-after-year Caesars/Wyndham tier matches. Good luck!
