Up at 6:30. Will probably go to Saginaw's with BFF for breakfast. Then the rest of the day is TBD until lunch with @eliza at Jerry's Nugget!!

BFF and I will probably "press our luck" with the Warriors vs. Suns on Tuesday. I will get the betting slip at Venetian since that will be my next Las Vegas stop.

I am at NYNY Thursday afternoon if you are so inclined for a meet and greet? Moving to CP from there for three nights.

Went to Saginaw's for breakfast. Sorry no pictures, but I used up a $70 November food comp.

Saw this strange box in the corner near the restrooms.
    upload_2021-11-29_15-12-43.png
We then went to Green Valley Ranch to spend an hour. Beef Jerky Store didn't open until 9:30AM
I found a machine and stubbornly spent $300 to get this bonus, but it paid off. Up $250 this early.

    GVR_DragonLights2.jpg
Found BFF and told him that I was ready to leave, and he agreed.
We first went to the Beef Jerky Store and I filled up on knick knacks, including some licorice root coated lemon peel

    upload_2021-11-29_15-17-28.png
It was only 10AM by the time we were on our way to Jerry's Nugget, and too early to get there, so I took the scenic route by Silver Nugget. Silver Nugget is now open 24/7 and the restaurant is open, but it looked to dingy for us to enter, so we drove down the street, and a little further north to . . . . upload_2021-11-29_15-18-11.png
Look at the food values!!! I may have lunch/dinner here next week . . . . . Prime Rib for $7.98. You can't beat that with a stick!!!!
    upload_2021-11-29_15-18-49.png
The player's club booth, but it was closed and doesn't open until the evening
    upload_2021-11-29_15-19-28.png
I signed up and got $5 free play Plus the bonus of $10 for giving them my email address. BFF also got $5.00 FP plus the $10 bonus
I lost $25 with my $15 FP and BFF won $9.00. Went to the Cashier's cage to cash out.
    upload_2021-11-29_15-21-36.png
    upload_2021-11-29_15-22-32.png
On to Jerry's Nugget, where I promptly lost back everthing I was up and then some. Oh well, that's why they call it gambling, don't they??
Met @eliza and we had a nice lunch.
    Eliza had Prime Rib
    upload_2021-11-29_15-23-12.png
    BFF had something "breakfasty"
    upload_2021-11-29_15-23-26.png
I had Prime Rib, rare, blackened and cajun spiced. Mine came out exactly how I like it, medium rare and spiced just right.
    upload_2021-11-29_15-23-43.png
It was good, but the price had gone up to $19.99. I can't wait to try Poker Palace's $7.98 Prime Rib!
After lunch Eliza had to go back to work, and BFF and I went to the Fiesta Casino in N. Las Vegas.
After dropping $100 into "Luck O'Leary's Jackpots" with no return I moved to the next machine, "Dragon's Emblem" and got the bonus on the third pull, and made back much of what I was down today. This shot was taken while in count up progress, but it was $210 profit.
    upload_2021-11-29_15-27-19.png
So, I immediately quit and went to the gift shop to buy tchotchkes for ex-wife and son.
    upload_2021-11-29_15-25-26.png
Dropped BFF off at Miracle Mile shops so he could finish his shopping (he's going home tomorrow), and I went back to the room.

Dinner with @Christina6001 at Mr. Chow, (Caesars Palace).

I had the salmon platter. Bagel was over toasted, but I wasn't in it to eat the entire bagel.

4 slices smoked salmon, onion, cucumber, tomato, capers, cream cheese.

For $20.00 it was about right.

Dai Lun the Silver Nugget is better inside they have really cleaned it up the last 2 years also the Wrangler Grill has very good and reasonable priced food we were there this morning and the Wrangler Grill was not open but will be Tuesday, also the steak specials at the Poker Palace are very good for the price. Did you say the Fiesta Rancho was open I we were not aware they were open thanks for the tip we may head up to the Santa Fe Station tonight for bingo and check that out. Hey you like good food cheap and your on Decatur stop by Arizona Charlies Sourdough Cafe they have a steak or ham and eggs special for $5.99 also 10% off with players card. Also if you have never been to Fat Choy in the Eureka casino on Sahara you should try it I would like to hear your take on it.

Been to Fat Choy numerous times. Review below.

I'm sort of kidding about eating "cheap food". I get enough comps that I rarely pay for any meals.

Well, I made it to Elko via Ely. It's a 427 Mile drive and it took me 7 hours, including 2 stops.

LL#4 - Pay attention when driving through Nevada towns like Ely and Searchlight. Law enforcement is watching the speed zones. I got pulled over by NHP (Nevada Highway Patrol) when I chose to accelerate around a FedEx truck. The NHP officer was very suspicious. "You're going to Spring Creek for the day?" and "Where's your luggage?". "In the trunk. You want to take a look?" I replied. He said yes so I opened the trunk. He went back to his vehicle with my DL and the rental car registration and when he came back, he wasn't carrying a citation. Whew!. "I'm giving you a warning", he said. I said thank you can watched my speed all the way to Elko.

I stopped in Ely and dropped a little over $100 at the Ramada casino. Most expensive bio-break that I ever had.
    upload_2021-11-30_17-26-42.png

After that, I drove through Ely to "see the sights". How depressing.
    There is a Chinese restaurant
    upload_2021-11-30_17-25-41.png
    And a couple of casinos
    upload_2021-11-30_17-26-1.png
    upload_2021-11-30_17-26-17.png
But then I got to the entertainment district and got even more depressed. I didn't partake.

    upload_2021-11-30_17-28-8.png

When I got to Elko, I went to the Gold Dust casino first to place a bet on the Warriors vs. Suns tonight. BFF left it up to me as to how to be, but we're "parlaying" our win from the last game.

I hit a bonus on Buffalo Chief, which covered much of my losses from Ely.
    upload_2021-11-30_17-28-35.png

I didn't eat Prime Rib dinner at Gold Dust ($11.99), instead, I think I'll go to Toki Ona (the other Basque restaurant) for dinner.

After I come back I will recount last night's dinner at Mr. Chow.

OK, got settled in my room. Decided to go to Toki Ona (the other popular Basque restaurant) for dinner. Before going to dinner, I stopped to get new player's club cards and sat down at a machine that ate me up the last time I was here. This time was different. This time I got the bonus and 4 retriggers, and put myself up for the day.

    upload_2021-11-30_19-21-11.png
So, I tipped the cashier/player's club for the "lucky Player's club card", and it was off to Toki Ona.
    upload_2021-11-30_19-22-33.png
    Here's the menu.

I chose the Senior lamb chops, it came with soup
    upload_2021-11-30_19-24-34.png
    , salad
    upload_2021-11-30_19-24-53.png
    bread
    upload_2021-11-30_19-25-6.png
here are the lamb chops cooked with garlic
    upload_2021-11-30_19-25-30.png
and an "ana potato" I didn't find a description on a quick search of the web, so I will ask the restaurant. It appears to be a peeled, boiled potato covered with cheese and garlic
    upload_2021-11-30_19-27-33.png
Dinner was very good, and still too much food, but not as much as the Star hotel. The bill was $27.79. I left $40.00. The service was good and I believe in "paying the luck forward".

I've returned to the room and am watching the Warriors/Suns game. I will prepare for tomorrow, programming my GPS for the properties that I will look at, and set up the details of last night's dinner at Mr. Chow (I promise)

Apologies for not replying until now but that was pretty much the same experience I had so was glad it wasn't just me. The Dark Soya was just horrible and salty, seemed like it had been reduced far too much. I had initially pegged the Chicken Rice Chili as Sambal but as you said, I also don't order Hainan Chicken to make it spicy.

OK now for a recap of Monday night dinner with BFF and @Christina6001

BFF and I made sure to get there early. BFF went to the TR desk to conduct some business, and I sat down and dumped $100 into a "new" 5 reel Buffalo machine. Sorry no pictures. Maybe sometime during the rest of the week.

Mr. Chow is located in the rear of Caesars Palace, across from Giada's Pronto
    upload_2021-12-1_5-38-26.png

Christina met us at Mr. Chow at 6PM and we were seated. I asked for a seat where we could see the noodle making exhibition, but one of the maitre'ds told us that the "show" wasn't until 8PM, so I said fine, then seat us anywhere.

    Here is the current menu

    http://marketeammenucaesarspalacemrchow.com/Chow_Dinner.pdf

We decided to have the semi prix fixe with Beijing Duck. The way that works is that you are allowed to choose hte number of items from each part of the menu (in our Case, we had 3 diners, so we were allowed 3 choices from the appetizer menu, and two choices from the "OF CHOICE" section of the menu (the duck was the first item. Duck is carved tableside.

    For appetizer, we selected
    Scallops
    upload_2021-12-1_5-39-1.png
    Mr. Chow noodles
    upload_2021-12-1_5-39-40.png
    Water dumplings (sui gow)
    upload_2021-12-1_5-40-38.png
    For entree, we selected
    Steamed Bass
    upload_2021-12-1_5-41-48.png
Ma Mignon (a Mr. Chow speciality)
    upload_2021-12-1_5-42-39.png
    The chef with the duck
    upload_2021-12-1_5-48-46.png
And the duck. I took a video of him carving it and will post it to YouTube, but here is a still of the Beijing Duck
    upload_2021-12-1_5-43-34.png
scallions for the duck crepes for the duck
    upload_2021-12-1_5-47-27.png upload_2021-12-1_5-47-47.png
    For vegetables, we had
    Bok Choy
    upload_2021-12-1_5-44-56.png
    Seafood Fried Rice
    upload_2021-12-1_5-45-43.png
The meal was excellent. I was disappointed that Christina didn't like the Ma Mignon (one of my favorites)

    Then came the dessert cart.
We chose one of each item to share
    Oranges soaked in Grand marnier
    upload_2021-12-1_5-49-17.png
    Lychee
    upload_2021-12-1_5-49-32.png
    Passion Fruit (I think) cake
    upload_2021-12-1_5-50-3.png
All totaled the dinner was $330. I used two of my $100 dining certificates and the rest in RCs

Christina took the leftover duck and went off to play. BFF and I went to Best Buy because I needed a USB stick to attempt to play movies on the TVs in the room.

LL#5 - The TVs at NYNY have a USB port but cannot play movies.

All in all, a nice dinner.

Up this morning at 5:30AM to finish the promised dinner report at Mr. Chows.

Well, at sports betting it's "bet with your head, and not with your heart". Right??

Although it pained me to do so, I bet AGAINST the Warriors last night. They've been playing pretty "sloppy" basketball, and you can get away with that against weaker teams, but you can't get away with that against good teams like Phoenix. That and Steph Curry has been having a lot of bad shooting nights (just wait until the return of Klay Thompson), oh and they were on the road but only getting 3 points? Sorry Warriors, but I'm betting with my head. I bet to make money, not show loyalty to the team.

    Bottom line is that we WON . . . AGAIN . . .

Now it's just a matter of whether to bet on the game Friday night with the Suns. They're playing at home . . .so . . . or, shall we take the profit and bet down. It's too early to see the point spread. I'll talk with BFF and see what he wants to do.

Take a shower, eat breakfast, look at properties, and then get on the road for another 6 hour drive back to Las Vegas.

Staying at the Venetian the next two days. Dinner tonight at Barry's Prime with @eliza !!! Yay!!!

Thanks for reminding me about Mr. Chow. I had made a ton of prospective reservations for next week and I just added them to the list. I have a feeling we won't make it there, but I'm going to do my best to try that duck.

Holy effin' s**t!!! It's 23 degrees as I write this, but then again, the sun hasn't come out yet, but just one more thing that I wanted to come up and experience. Elko/Spring Creek in the winter. Glad I put on my long sleeved shirt.

39 games on Dragon Lights is solid! It was due! Shame it wasn't more. That slot always draws me in when it's "hot". One of my favorites these days. Hope the rest of the trip continues to go well! Following along
