So last night I had issues with getting cash so I didn’t really know what to do. So I deduced to take my $120 or so and go to the poker room and just see what happens.

I ended up playing 8 hours and ended with a profit of $300 and had a lot of fun. Should’ve ended it a couple hours earlier when I was up $500 but it is what it is. Passed out around 430am and now on the train back to Philly to take the train to New York!

I love trains and I’ve always wanted to try America’s only high speed train, the Acela. And we’re in First Class baby! Yes the bus from AC would’ve been faster and cheaper to do but I’ve always wanted to try it!

Made it back to Philly! And here’s a few pics of the Metropolitan Lounge for First Class and sleeper car ticket holders. Could also buy your way in for $35. The real beauty I found out about this is that you get a private elevator down to the track! No need to wait in line! 6C68D6C5-1672-43F9-82BF-C7B43078FB9D.jpeg 55E740EB-E85E-4BA3-9816-32E048283024.jpeg E5F95C6A-64C4-4615-BA1C-46A0FDE8F5FF.jpeg 64CCA8C0-81E9-45F6-88C0-D605AD26CB14.jpeg 581438F3-9611-4CFC-8215-323B7115F435.jpeg 9AE52AEE-942E-41AD-BCCD-3701BCEC5858.jpeg D47892A7-7496-484E-BC13-282FD8999BA0.jpeg

Not sure if you're heading back to Philly to fly out, but if you are and are on the Acela again: at Penn Station, if you use a porter for your bags, you can get down to the platform early and have a better pick of seats (at least, pre Covid that was true, assume it hasn't changed). Not as relevant if you're first class again.

Flying out of LaGuardia on Saturday mid day but I’ll have to keep that nugget in the back of my mind.

The Playground Pier across from Caesars has these floor to ceiling windows facing south with great views of the ocean. In the colder months, grab a book and a cup of coffee and just chill, I can't think of a much better spot for some quiet time. As for stores that are not open, in all honesty, you're really not missing much. A lot of souvenir shops, some pizza places (overpriced and not that great), there is a dispensary near Resorts. Most of the local restaurants are open midweek in the colder months, some with reduced hours, but your best bet is go duck into a casino for a drink.

For a quick walk down the boardwalk in the summer, check out this video; run it in 1.5 time or 2x.

Made it to NYC and went to hang out with friends so I forgot to post.

Made it to the new Moynihan Train hall and Stepped out the station and was greeted with the Empire State Building at Sunset

Checked into the Andaz 5th Ave right near the Public Library and Bryant Park. Got a nice huge room on the top floor. Bathroom has 12 foot ceilings with a rain head too!

Afterwards I went to hang out with some friends on the Upper West Side and play Trivia. We tied 3rd out of 40 teams but lost the tiebreaker, ‘how much box office did “True Grit” have’ then went to another bar until the wee hours

Here’s some pics. Started in Bryant Park then made my way to Times Square. Then headed up to Gray’s Papaya for a couple dogs and a papaya juice. Then walked to Rockefeller but forgot to take pics after Central Park. Had many mulled wines throughout the day and they were all to go as they should fucking be.

After that I headed to the Irish bar across from Barclays to pregame with some other fans and went to the game. Was a blast and we fucking won!!!!! Way unexpected.

After the game I went to a bar nearby in Brooklyn and that was weirdly awesome. No one but me and this dance troupe or dance instructors or something. We started doing shots and pushed all the tables to the side and started Latin dancing. Had enough people because the bartender danced with us too. This is him making us some Apple Pie Shots

When he closed up shop I was still energetic and wanted to go to one of my favorite spots in the city. Rudy’s.

Cheap as fuck beers and every beer gets a hot dog with it if you want. Fuck yea I get a hotdog with every $4 beer

So almost 2am still chilling at the last bar with the hotdogs and beer and a deep cut amazing song just came on. So underrated because of its length. All 10+ minutes of it is perfect in every way

This morning I went to the parade but if I could do it over I would, first would be not going to bed at 4am but this part of the route near Bryant park is mostly blocked off by police for all the different TV stations. So they funneled everyone to 44th street and it was just chaotic. But I got to see the balloons and that’s all I wanted!
