    My Trip Report

Today is the day of days.

< 24 hours from heading into Boston, boarding a now 6 hour flight  and forgetting about normal habits for 72 hours

Hit the 40 year mark and between not giving a darn and a whole year of not gambling it’s been awesome. Yes I know a Doug, he may or may not be a dentist, and count on tossing plenty of Ollie’s around on the tables. Wrapping up packing this evening, sensing Copperheads will start early in the morning, will be EPIC :headbang:

Good luck and have a great time! Are u flying Jetblue? Any upgrades available for purchase/begging?

With a little luck I’m doing a very similar trip in January so I’ll be following along.

    @carolineno

Yes, always go with JetBlue, that direct flight is worth it’s wait in gold. Plus free booze for Mosaic and service is usually great. My typical setup is booking with an even more space seat. Between 2 & 3 weeks from trip will check pricing in Mint. Can usually snag at 2.5x original ticket price, that additional point and a half is always a  on my end.

Very surprised they added an hour to the trip, probably changing flight patterns with this weather.

Good trip into the city, added bonus Pats are up for Thursday night football. Thinking that could be a futures bet for super bowl, damn good odds.

Struck out on diamond upgrade for the Hilton, but did get end hallway room. Makes me wonder on Resorts World, do they have Diamond upgrades or just put you in the room booked. So not a planner, but racking Hilton points is always a great bonus.

6am flight tomorrow, pre-flight cocktails planned. Sprints up and down the isles possible, yet frowned upon. My only plan for s Hollestiens, but will not be partaking in a boozy milkshake. Thinking espresso martinis could be in the works, hand pays, blackjack and craps. :woot:

Love crashing at the airport on early flights, let’s me wake up at 5:15 making it a normal day. Pulling a few things together then mask on and heading into the airport.

So I'm NOT the only complete fool on VMB. I'm sitting in a plane right now, just ordered my mimosa. Cheers, fellow fool!

Lap of luxury! Chariot waiting to take me towards a non-CET property and now we are off to the races.

Highly recommend TSAprecheck, 5 years ago I laughed at folks doing this. Then Citi gave a rebat, it has been awesome. Keep the shoes on, no computer out and occasionally they’ll even let you wear a jacket

Airport did attempt to hide that Vegas sign, made me chuckle as a few folks coasted past looking for the terminal only to return.

Another added bonus, was not placed on the NY Jets plane. I mean, yes I do enjoy betting against those cats. They do have a nack for ruining drafted quarterbacks and their best over the past 30 years was Mr. Chad Pennington o_Ono the Brett Favre rental does not count. Lots of energy this morning, ready to gamble… will be screaming at that James Bond slot in a few hours.

Successfully found my seat! Movie selection is good, starting with Anthony Bourdain documentary.

Menu could be a bit better, but preflight cocktail being offered is a winner. Looking forward to meeting its friends :drunk:

Couple wins on slots at Rio, but out 2,500 right now.

to the bigger question, Mr. Scripps why are you at the Rio, thought this was a Cosmo trip?

Fair point and accurate, waiting on the room to be ready and Rio did offer 1,300 free play… but on the 21st o_O

Either way good time have had lots of fun, going to hit sportsbook than exit, Rumor has it someone is on top floor of the boulevard tower. Updates to come!

Couple hits on bond, but nothing big to note. One 900 payout on top dollar… then $50 pinball was no bueno

Fountain time then maybe some more play tonight.

Dinner was fantastic and the service was some of the best I’ve seen. Great conversation with bartenders, plates came in then disappeared when I was done. Ordered poke tuna wanton tacos, sprouts and rack of lamb. Cooking was perfect, recommend this spot.

Some slots and tables post dinner, made a bit of a comeback. Down 4K, tomorrow will be a good one. Placed a couple bets on nfl:

    Det +12
    Det +12 and over 43

May add to it and dabble in college tomorrow, 1am right now is a bear so it’s time to crash

Great breakfast at the Henry this morning. Went with eggs bennies, the Hash is the rockstar. No clue how they crisped it on both side, going to lead to future kitchen experiments!

Slots have been good this morning, just found that first elusive hand pay and some good below tax bracket hits, currently down 2k. Need to keep this comeback train in gear, plus added bonus of free play & nfl bets tomorrow, thinking about adding Green Bay to the mix.
