It’s bizarre, I hate when the showers have half of a door. Freezing! Does the older tower at Harrah’s have a full door? If so, what’s the name of that tower? I’m willing to get an older room for a warm shower. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out the one minute mark of this video - it’s in the Valley (newer rooms) tower -

The former Mardi Gras Tower (now called the Mountain Tower) has recently been remodeled, and I would expect that they have the same shower setup as the Valley Tower.

If you don't like "half shower doors" you should consider a different hotel.

Looking on YouTube at the mountain tower rooms, looks like the same half shower door on them

As far as I know, the property has been fully remodeled in all towers, and all showers ruined with the exception of some suites.

Mind you my shower is around 8 feet long with 5 feet having glass but 3 feet does not. I have never been cold in the shower. I do have hot water and heat in the house and assume Harrahs does too so how exactly will you be cold in the shower? Even in the summer with our AC blaring, the hot water in the shower keeps me toasty :)

Orleans and/or Gold Coast is about the same, only a partial door.

That's pretty much the standard style in almost every remodeled room in Las Vegas.
Sometimes it annoys me and I will roll up a towel at the bottom of the door to keep in some of the heat.

Didn’t one of these hotels with the half doors put shower curtains in them to help with the flooding of the floors?

It could be worse. When the NOBU tower first opened at CP, the showers had no door at all!

It’s not only cold, water gets all over the place. A shower without a full door or curtain is just bizarre to me.

The Flamingo has shower curtains on the showers with 1/2 doors which I love. I have long, waist length hair & shampoo goes everywhere while washing.

Must be an odd shower if the water gets out onto the floor. Palms had the half glass doors too but never had a problem freezing or getting water on the floor there either.

Perhaps try closing the main door to the bath room. I do this at home and the whole room is warm when I step out.:wiggle:

That’s my point, showers with half doors ARE odd! :)

I’ve stayed at a few Marriotts that have this same concept.

But they save $$$$. Just like the shower doors at Nobu. Oh that's right, there are NO shower doors at Nobu . . . .

it's also a safety thing - people fall getting in/out of showers. A lot of the chain hotels no longer have bathtubs in base rooms when remodeled for the same reason. Even things like an Embassy Suite where you might stay with kids often only have a shower now. But many of them do have the full door. That's the cheap part, you're right.

If you do decide you want a shower door, maybe switch from Harrah's to Bally's? They have shower doors in their refurbished Resort Tower rooms.

I enjoy the half door in hotel showers... I like to stand at the end of it and take in all of my sudsy manliness in the big bathroom mirrors as I bathe.
