Got a text from a friend last night, Flamingo craps tables (Wednesday at 8pm) were $100. When did the Flamingo start thinking they’re Encore?! I remember when they had $5 tables in 2019, with actual dealers. Now it looks like an expensive arcade with all the BS electronic and stadium gaming. If it wasn’t for their pool, I would never go there. It sucks, because I have a lot of good/fun memories at that place!

There were no tables with a minimum less than $100? I don't think I'm offended by them having a couple $100 tables as long as they still have several tables with lower minimums for us mere mortals.

This is likely the way of the future. They (particularly CET) keep replacing live tables with electronic versions to save on labor and better control the game. The few live tables they have left will likely have higher and higher minimums.

Probably a High Roller requested it (instead of keeping it reserved) saw the same thing at Valley Forge in PA-$100 min, then a while later player was gone, back to $15

    Decent chance of this.

There's a guy who used to play at Mirage who, last I saw, was now at Aria. He would regularly play craps on the floor, with a crazy min of something like $1k or $5k. He just liked to be in the middle of the action.

Flamingo isn't Caesars; I would not expect them to be dealing $100 craps if Harrahs is at $15-25.

It's a sad situation all around. Once a fast paced game with highly skilled dealers that was affordable and super fun for average players now a victim of economics and a pandemic.

Replaced with electronic substitutions so as to lower operational costs and labor.

Electronics are no substitution for human interaction in a social setting. Social gambling is what Vegas is all about and what lures people to the tables.

Because of greed for profit only the rich and affluent can now enjoy social gambling.

A lot of us minions and peons will miss live tables like craps and will have to settle for an electronic voice yelling "C'MON, PUSH THE BUTTONNNNN......."

I had this experience at Bally's in 2019 very early morning, like 6 or 7am. 1 table open at $100, but there were a few Asian guys in suits betting 4 digit chips, and they just didnt make it private. 3 or 4 hours later it was $5/10.

Early Sunday morning back in July, they had the only table open at $50 with the electronic version at $10 with full tables on both.

    Supply and demand.

I saw $25 and $50 there in July and earlier this month!
I can't believe Flamingo thinks they're worth that!

I think they are experimenting with forcing lower limit players on to electronic table games. My guess is that it will work and this will be the way of the future.

At my locals on Fri/Sat night a ton of 20somethings crowd around electronic blackjack and roulette cheering each other on, actually more animated than the players at live games. They seem to love it.

Can you really call it an experiment at this point? Even pre-pandemic, there were lots of places with $3-5 bubble craps and no tables below $10, $5 video blackjack or stadium games vs. $10 or $15 min dealt games. It's just that the line has moved up.

I noticed flamingo had high mins, $50 6:5 blackjack, during late morning/early afternoon, when I went two months ago. I said something to the pit that at that level, it should definitely be 3:2. They seemed sympathetic but obviously didn’t do anything.

It sucked but I did what I did to Cromwell, my former favorite haunt before they fucked the rules and mins, I just stopped playing there.

It’s interesting- I know the rules are made by casino management (6:5 vs 3:2), but I wonder who determines what the minimum are. I’m assuming it’s the pit boss, but what are the indicators that trigger them to raise them? I’m assuming it’s capacity.

I was just at the Flamingo a week ago (not weekend). Craps were $10 early during the day and went up to $15 to $25 at night. The electronic ones were $10/$15. I'm thinking maybe a whale asked the pit to put one table at $100. I doubt they would put all the craps tables at $100. Perhaps your friend had a little too much to drink and seeing double 0s or have fat fingers :D

I've seen a $50 or $100 the last few trips at Flamingo. Must be some serious black chip players staying there.

A big player wants Flamingo to go $100?
    Big fish, little pond.
Go across the street, man, and leave the cheap places cheap.

No, there isn’t demand for $100 tables at Flamingo. It’s part of the plan to say, see? There is no demand for table games at Flamingo, we need to remove more table games and put in more penny slots.

If CP is indeed improving/expanding the main table games area that will accelerate the movement of essentially all of CETs serious table play to one property.

When in Vegas I would enter the Flamingo for two reasons.
1 - To check the Craps tables.
    2 - Play a unique MegaBucks machine.

Last 2 trips, we couldn't find our favorite MegaBucks and now with $100 tables there just no reason to visit the Flamingo.
