Opening night is four days away so i thought it time to start a thread sharing my wagers this season. First, the futures:

    Hawks over 47.5
    Spurs over 28.5
    Nets under 56.5
    Rockets under 27.5
    Golden State under 48.5
    Golden State no playoffs
    Hornets no playoffs
    Pelicans no playoffs
    Durant wins MVP

And on opening night I bet the under on the Bucks game and the laid the Lakers -5

Happy to discuss these wagers or my pre-season thoughts on any team

Just happy the national yapping heads and general public anticipate a certain Nets-Lakers Finals.

    Silly and silly.

Good luck with the picks. They look good.

I'm very high on the Nuggets and got them at 48 ten days ago at Mecca (Cortez to you Uppities).

Bucks v Nuggs is my NBA Finals.

I really likes these picks! LOVE the Rockets under, I’m shocked it was that high! Kyrie is questionable this year, so not sure he will get enough dishes from Harden to get MVP. If I don’t like one of your picks, I think the Hornets will squeeze into the playoffs.

Who do you like for Rookie of the Year? Do you think it is a Cade/Green race or do you see a dark horse?

Seems like you had those bets last year. How'd that work out?

Like to know where you got the spurs at 28.5? wow, good for you. I bet over 30.5 last wednesday at the westgate.
we disagree on the hawks, but otherwise, like majority of your picks. maybe too harsh on the warriors; I bet the under, too, but no playoffs!!!

I like your Bucks. I think they lead the league in wins and should get white Dante back in his old form in time for another playoff push

I was really stunned by the Rockets too! I have read where other experts are saying the Magic will have the worst record in the league, but I don't see how it can't be the Rockets (or the Thunder). I like the Green pick, but I like the Magic's picks better. Plus, I am not as high on Wood as some people. He is just a black hole when he gets the ball and teammates don't like playing with him. Finally, playing in the West is worth a couple more losses than playing in the East. Ultimately, I think they end up between 20 and 22 wins. And hopefully easy money for me

I like Green. I think he is the better player. Ultimately, I think Mobely has the potential to be the best of all of them, but I wouldn't count on him as ROY. He needs the sexland backcourt to get him the ball and the Cavs are so dysfunctional, I am not sure they will do that enough.

Infinitely better than your take that Connie Hawkins was no better than Alex Caruso :kill:

Even with the ten additional games, the warriors line is a higher percentage of wins than last year, when it took an MVP level performance by Steph for them to reach the over. I love Steph and will cheer for him to have some monster games, but history suggests he will regress. Getting Thompson back at midseason obviously helps, but losing Oubre hurts a little, still doesn't look like they will get anything out of the number two pick, this years picks are either redundant or projects, and the rule changes this year will cost Curry/Thompson a couple points a game. There are a cluster of Western teams that I expect to finish in the range of 41 to 44 wins (GS, Portland, Memphis, Clippers). There should be enough room for three of those teams to make the playoffs, so I bet against GS out of those four simply because they have the better paying odds

I didn't wager it, but I agree. I think they finish with 36 or 37 wins

That Spurs number was available on BetMGM last evening. The numbers are odds on these lines have been pretty fluid over the past week as more money has poured in. Spurs was one of my smaller bets, but I am still very happy with that line. I don't think losing DeRozan hurts them that much and think they will finish around 34 wins.

The Warriors no playoff wager is a longer shot, but as I explained above, the payoff is very nice. I think the under is pretty easy on them. But they should still make the play in tournament. But if they lose there and miss the playoffs, I get paid 5 to 1. So I took half the money I was betting on the Warriors under and put it on that playoff prop instead.

Actually that was an insult to Caruso, since he won a championship, something Connie Hawk never sniffed. Hawkins was an ABA freak, but he never contended well in the NBA. His NBA stat line: 16 ppg/8 reb/4 asst/0.3 blocks. Not stellar. When I saw him in the early 70's he was a beat up old man—at 30—who could barely get up and down the court. But I defer to your expertise on ancient NBA players.

Curry will be better this year, if not injured. And I expect a huge year from Green after Kerr called him out in the media to put the ball up more often. Jordan Poole will emerge as a budding star and Wiggins will continue to improve under a Warriors' system which is all about player development. They should win 50, at least, and make a run to the playoffs when Thompson returns.

Hell, Fanatic, it's all I have to live for after the check swing strike against LA and the mediocre play of my Niners.

To be clear it was an 0-2 count. He would’ve got to see one more pitch. Maybe more. It’s an imperfect game, it happens. It’s not like anyone was banging cans.
