Solo trip that wasn't Solo (9/27 - 9/28)

Houston, we have a problem... As usual, my boss was getting the best of me and I think my hubby figured the best way to help was to have me take another 1 nighter to Vegas. (I'm sure the fact that my last trip was about a $2,000 profit kind of helped) So the plan was I would go 1 night again by myself. I have to admit, I'm really starting to like the quick trips to Red Rock.

The problem started when my co-worker (who has gone with me several times) started saying she missed going to Vegas. She asked if I could go in October. Since I already had the trip booked, I told her I couldn't make it. Then of course I started to feel guilty and asked my hubby if I should tell her. Unfortunately, she hasn't received any offers for Red Rock and really wanted to stay there. So, after talking with my hubby I told her I was going and suggested we share a room and let her get some points in with Red Rock.

Ok, first I really care for her but I will never share a room again. No, she wasn't a snorer or anything bad. I personally have issues sleeping in vegas and sometimes like to either take a bath or call room service at 2-3 am. My friend is someone who has to sleep 12 hrs a night.

Overall the trip was great for me, not so nice for my friend. I played slots and my new favorite "Super Triple Play" on DDB. I say my new favorite since last time I hit pretty well on it and same with this trip. I will add pictures of my wins.

One really strange thing did happen. Since I'm only staying 1 night, I usually save my tickets and then cash them in at the end, (Hopefully causing a win or at least giving me some money for the ride home). I went to the cashier with about $3200 in tickets and the cashier actually grilled me as to where I was playing. I had to show my ID and players card. Now, I am at the President Level with Stations and don't stay long so I do play a lot when I'm there. I usually play $,25 VP and penny slots. I'm not sure if something was going on that day but when I mentioned I hit Ace's with the kicker she seemed to relax. I'm not sure if it's because I had 2 tickets over $1000 or what, but that was weird.

Ok, pictures to follow and since they sent me another offer I couldn't refuse, I will be going back (definitely solo) on 10/26 - 10/27.

Congratulations on your wins. Good thing it was only one night with your friend. That’s one thing I’m cautious of is picking a Vegas buddy since everyone does Vegas different and sharing a room can be uncomfortable if you’re not compatible. But winning money helps!

 

How do you get out to Red Rock? Do you rent a car, shuttle, Uber, Lyft?

 

I really like all of my friends. I would never travel with any of them. I have a hard enough time bending to my husband's desires much less anyone else.

 

I make it crystal clear I’m going to do my own thing and they should do theirs. Sometimes they follow it, sometimes not. I do have one friend that I would prefer not to share with. As was the experience of @vplover, she and I have completely different sleep schedules that make it awkward to share. Different rooms is fine. She snores too. Id be up and out before she even noticed. If she did wake up she’d want me to wait for her. Not wasting 90 minutes of casino time while she showers. Actually meeting her in January but separate rooms and her husband will be there. He can wait for her.

I'm lucky, I asked my host for a ride and they pick me up. Also, just an FYI they do have shuttle's that run to and from the airport. I'm not sure of the schedule though.
