I think this is one of the most unique holiday events in Vegas every year and they are getting ready now.

This year there is a small fee, instead of food donations, and reservations are required.

Totally worth $5 and much easier than bringing and collecting food donations. I have been to the Christmas display twice over the years and it is beautiful!!!!! Well worth going out of your way for!!! Open your heart and wallet and donate a little more (or a lot) than $5!!!

I’ve always wanted to see this. Luckily we will still be in LV for opening night, so I just made a reservation.

Love Ethel M’s, and will be in Vegas in December. Have not been to Vegas in over 15 years, so please forgive me, is this on the Strip?

Booked mine last night for November 26th and ordered the family pack of hot chocolate, chocolate covered marshmellows and chocolate covered cookies to enjoy while checking out the lights. Can't wait!

Flowers, is there another link for family pack of hot choc and the other items? That sounds like the perfect thing to add too the tour!

@Mom2JoMoLa When you go to the link to reserve your time slot before you check out there is the option to add on several items including the hot chocolate, marshmallows, and cookies. 33ACF14D-837E-4F40-B9C9-F6ED2C7B7B74.png

Ok, I cant see the article when do the holiday lights start? It looks like November 4th? Is that correct? None of our light productions in Maryland start before thanksgiving..so I just want to make sure that I am guessing correctly.

I quoted the article. Here's the dates:

The official lighting ceremony is Nov. 5, and nightly viewing hours run through Jan. 2. The 3-acre garden can be seen nightly, starting Nov. 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

I recall mostly fast food and chain restaurant options in the immediate area. There is a Hash House nearby if that's something you're interested in trying.

Just down the road is Barleys casino owned by Station Casinos. They have a good restaurant called Brewers cafe with very good pizza, ribs, burgers, breakfasts and of course there brewery. Nice small size but always enjoyable and prices are on the low side.

Thanks for the info! Just booked our reservation for our trip. This will be the first time we’ve made it out to The Cactus Garden and can’t think of a better way to see it!

I booked my trip a little too late to get a reservation, but at least this year the website says that walk-ins are welcome. Does anyone have experience with the standby entry process?

We went the Monday of Thanksgiving week and we’re essentially the only folks there with a reservation, even though at that point all their marketing stated reservations were absolutely required for entry. It was early in the evening, so the groups were let in with no real hesitation. They just marked down how many and sent them in.

We were out of there before there was any real crowd to speak of, so I’m not sure how much they’re willing to pack folks in beyond what they made available for reservations.
