Admins, please move if wrong thread.
Well, im here right now. Came in for business, staying at wynn. As soon as I checked in the first thing in did after using Beeejay's shitter (pictured) was walk to encore, go through tower suites and walk across the street (in 100 degrees at 9pm) to RW. I had no expectations except I knew it was big. Walked in and said wrote this is big! Lots of open space. Restaurants to the left and Restaurants to the right of me all packed (Friday night). Looked ahead and saw this massive sphere thing. It was cool but whatever. Didn't know which way to turn (I like getting lost) so I saw a sign that said hotel and CASINO. Made my way to the casino and was in heaven, 100s of slots to the left of me and 100s to the right, as I walked some bubble craps, roulette and all other games. 5k max if I remember right for bubble craps. Played there for 15 minutes, put in 500 to put 1000!. Next saw roulette table (double zero) play there with a 750 avg for 20 min and win slot 800. Looked around and had no ideas which way to go and all of a sudden saw high limit. Walked into this huge entrance and saw some bj tables. I said no bacc? Floor mgr said go down the hall into the next room so I did. Opened up to what seemed like 50 table but actually was more like 20 ish. All different levels of play. What surprised me was the lowest minimums was only 100 on a Friday night. The high limit wasn't that crowded to me at all which surprised me. Played a little back and single zero roulette. Thankfully won again. Walked around and decided it was getting late (needed to Hobe wynn some play) and I would come back tomorrow (today) to check out the rest.

Theme.... Didn't even think about it until I saw this thread. What Theme? No Theme at all at least to me now that I think about it. Only Theme I can imagine is hugeness lol. I'm ok with it and couldn't care less about a theme so it was fine for me. I care about customer service, food, gaming and rooms which obviously I know nothing about the rooms.
I approached and talk to many employees from servers to high limit floor managers and all were very open, welcoming and forthcoming/truthful (Real no bs)
    Going back today.
I forgot, next thing I saw was a smallish Stardust sign at the entrance.. It was noticeable and pretty cool.

Was there on Wednesday. Did not seem overly busy. Checked out the overpriced food court/street food. I thought the only interesting thing about the whole place is the range of slot machines. I saw a few that I had not seen anywhere else. Other than that, I suspect it may have problems drawing people to its isolated site.

I was incredibly let down...after all the hype it wasn’t what I expected at all. Very blah, like the Costco of Casinos. Just my opinion. There were lots of slots to choose from- no fault there! I’m speaking strictly on decor.

After reading so many others comments I wasn't really expecting much, but it was just like you said - blah.

I felt a really telling sign was the men's room. It felt generic/cheap. The paper towel dispenser seemed like something out of a Costco restroom. I guess I'm just spoiled across the street at Wynncore, but that stuck out to me.

I'm just curious as to what people think an "Asian themed" casino should look like?

I've been to Resorts World Genting (Malaysia), and most of the casinos in Macau and the Philippines and other than 97% of the clientele being Asian, I couldn't tell that I was in Asia except for the jet lag.

I mean, what does everyone expect. A casino like that pictured in "Skyfall"?

Didn’t you sum up what you thought an Asian themed casino is?

What exactly is an "Asian" theme? there are about 50 countries in Asia, they are not all the same. Perhaps, our definition of "Asian" isn't the real representation of Asia. I'm willing to bet that the regular American, when asked what an Asian theme would look like, would expect something like the old "Lucky Dragon" casino. That didn't work out too well.

Hard to describe, but you know it when you see it. Walk into the Wynn Macau or MGM Macau, and you 'know" that you're in a Asian themed casino.

Kinda like this, from my trip to Wynn Macau in 2019

The only way I'd know I'm in Asia would be having 80% baccarat tables or something like that.

Yes. That Skyfall casino would actually be a perfect example of an "Asian themed" casino. Also, the Red Dragon casino from Rush Hour 3, or, as an obvious real world example, the (former) Lucky Dragon casino in Vegas.

I was searching online to see if anyone else was disappointed by the design.

I just realized this resort was open and went to look at some videos to see how it came out. I don't claim to be anyone special, but as someone interested in world cultures and architecture I was extremely disappointed to see they didn't go with the Forbidden City theme they initially proposed. While aesthetically it looks nice, it still looks plain and boring. It also looks "cost engineered" even though I know it went over budget. The mall section looks like a slightly upgraded version of your typical super regional regional mall.

I live in Louisiana where while we obviously don't have casinos of the scale of Las Vegas, we have something serviceable. That's to say if I want to go feed my money to a machine in a generic setting I can do that at home. If I'm traveling to Vegas I want to see something unique.

Also I was hoping that for all the people who'll probably never be able to afford go to go the real China(like me), we'd atleast get a romanticized version to visit.

My father and I went to visit a couple of weeks ago. We had a car, and parked in the garage, didn't like that general parking was disconnected from the main casino.
I think if I were to compare the "theme" to something else, a casino in Tunica comes to mind.

While a casino like Aria doesn't have a particular outlandish theme like it was for Mirage, Excalibur and Luxor, it does contain a theme nonetheless.

I just got back from my second stay at RW, and it's a very nice property.

The one thing that is themed is the food court, and the food is great.

Another thing is that the pool is possibly the nicest experience among basic pools in Las Vegas. No "rubber band" loungers, all the loungers, even free ones are comfortable, padded loungers. Due to the number of pools, most loungers are no more than 2 rows away from a pool.
