    My Trip Report

    Folks,

I hadn't been to Lambeau Field, the SOF (Sanctuary of Organized Football), since January 12 of last year when the Pack humiliated the Seattle team in the Divisional Round of the NFC Playoffs.

It was time to get back out to Brown County, USA and cheer on Jaire Alexander, Mason Crosby and the fellers as they took on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

We beat these clowns in the Super Bowl a decade ago, but I don't think we've beat them in the regular season since the final game of the 1995 season...and Yancey Thigpen dropped a pass from Neil O'Donnell that hit him in a horrible place in the final minute (the hands) on 4th and Goal, sealing a big-time DUB for God's Squad. Since then, there were some unbelievably entertaining games between the two, but the only victory came in Super Bowl XLV (lost 27-20 in '98, 20-10 in '05, 37-36 in '09, 38-31 in '13, and 31-28 back in '17).

Well, we finally beat that gorilla QB of theirs (Benjy Roethlisberger) and it was a beautiful day all around at old City Field.

It wasn't all fun, games and Rumplemintz (4 shots, btw), however. I was slightly tormented during the pregame festivities.

There were quite a few Pittsburgh #20 Rocky Bleier jerseys...and my moms dated Rocky Bleier. She passed away twenty five years ago, so it was torture seeing these jerseys and imagining Rock mounting her...the bodily fluids...the whole shabang. I let it go after about the eighth Vodka-orange juice, thankfully.

I chose the Steelers game because I knew it would be right around when the Major League Baseball Playoffs would be starting up and there wasn't any way I was gonna miss the Brew Crew laying waste to whomever got in their path in the Divisional Round (Atlanta).

The powers that be decided to play the NL Wild Card game on WED of this week, meaning Counsell's Commandos wouldn't be playing until FRI at some point.

Normally I'd tough it out and stay in WI with my buddy and his wife in Menomonee Falls., but then it hit me like a Tommy Morrison right hook...I can't spend the next four - five days with the 'wife' following me around.

Jill means well and I do like her. The problem is that she's annoying and doesn't leave me alone.

I don't have the time to get into it and you don't want to spend the time reading it, but I'll leave this community with one example of what I deal with whenever I stay there for only a couple of nights (and this is not an exaggeration, I assure ya):

I'm working in the dining room or I'm sleeping in one of the guest rooms....Jill enters without warning. "TD, now I'm going to run to a physical therapy session but I want you to help yourself to anything you'd like. If you're hungry, we have yogurts in the fridge. There's fruit that Jeff cut up. We have melon and strawberries and blueberries and cantaloupe and bananas and pineapple. There is cereal and we have two percent and skim milk. There's bread if you want some toast. We have whole wheat bread, multi-grain, white, sourdough, and gluten-free. There's butter and jam and cheese spread and cream cheese. if you like eggs, we have those and skillets and pans. There's coffee with creamer and sugar and the milk I mentioned. We have juice, too. There's orange, cranberry, grapefruit, cranapple, and Five Alive. There's a kringle in the pantry along with donuts and raisins and almonds. We have frozen strudel in the freezer along with sausages and microwavable breakfast burritos from the Pic N Save store over in Germantown."

I really had no plans to get out to Vegas until the Super Bowl, but I can't tolerate that bullshit for multiple days...so here I be.

10/4 - 10/7 MGM Grand Executive King (easy access to McCarran...I don't normally choose to stay there...on purpose).

You should have stopped by Jill's for one night and grabbed some fruit and snacks. MGM is a solid choice.

Looking forward to the follow along...although I've got a bad feeling it's mostly going to be about sports stuff this time.

As I finish getting dolled up while listening to my Little River Band greatest hits playlist and sippin' on a Belve-Sierra Mist, I can't help but celebrate another victory and feel the elation of tricking the United States Transportation Safety Authorities yet again.

Back in June I bought eight edibles at the Organic Alternatives dispensary in BEAUTIFUL Fort Collins, CO. I transported it back east wit' ease and tonight was no different.

Just toss it in with your bottle of pills - prescriptions - Mike & Ike's and those buffoons won't know shit. It's like walking on the razors edge...a fine line. The line of danger. Ain't no feeling like it.

I only mention it because this edible is literally called 'Vegas' and I plan on swallowing it once I walk out these doors. I'll be hallucinating by the time I get to the casino.

This is my arsenal. It's all I have to my name these next few days.
    2-Mon.jpg
$800 in Ben Franks, an un-cashed sports bet ticket for $1100 and another ticket my buddy in Henderson made for me back in FEB for $600 (supposed to be delivered in the morn).
    Crew.jpg
There is an additional envelope with a shitload of twents, tens y Abe Lincs...but that is strictly for the 20-something-year-olds down Palomino Way manana, so no touchy.

So $800 tonight is all a brother can muster annnnnnd, GO (meaning exit MGM and swallow that drug)!!

It's only been eighty three days since my previous visit which, to be completely honest, isn't that long of a time.

I just find it weird that, when you're away for any duration, it....WOAH-HO, FUUUUUUUCK!! I FORGOT...NOOO!!!
