    Just a heads up:

Be very aware of the Caesars Rewards system ripping you off on your folios.

I stayed at Caesars Atlantic City at the beginning of August. I booked online, logged in to my account, *and* used an offer code.

There's legitimately no way the reservation *couldn't* have been linked to my CR card.

With the 5x tier credit multiplier on room charges, it was *very* easy to see that I wasn't credited properly. (Even though I got the badges for hotel spend in the Quest for Rewards.)

I finally got curious enough to email them. Their response:
Thank you for reaching out to us here at Caesars Entertainment.

Upon review of your account the Tier Credits and Reward Credits for your hotel stay were not added to your Caesars Rewards account. Tier Credits post automatically to your account up to 10 days after checkout.

Please keep in mind that it is the guests responsibility to make sure that your Caesars Rewards card is listed on the Hotel Folio prior to checking out, which yours was. If you ever have any questions about whether your account is linked, please be sure to speak to a Front Desk representative before you check out.

For every $1 you spend on your room rate and resort fees you will earn 5X Tier Credits and 1X Reward Credit. Please keep in mind that room upgrades do not qualify for the 5X Tier Credits. Reservations must be booked through www.caesars.com to qualify. In addition, you must be the primary guest and your Caesars Rewards number must be on the reservation to qualify.

As a 1X courtesy we will add 2348 Tier Credits and 469 Reward Credits to post to your account within 24-48 hours.

Be aware that somehow what should be automated doesn't always work.

    Haha, right?

And: "Please keep in mind that it is the guests responsibility to make sure that your Caesars Rewards card is listed on the Hotel Folio prior to checking out, which yours was. If you ever have any questions about whether your account is linked, please be sure to speak to a Front Desk representative before you check out."

Did I just get warned about not checking my folio even though you admitted everything was correct?!?

I’m still waiting for a recent CP stay to post (it’s been a week). Also never heard back about a folio request I filed earlier this week for a stay in August. I constantly ask myself if this is a real business because it sure as hell isn’t run like one.

It took 9 days for our resort spend to post through to our account. I was beginning to wonder if we were going to have to fight for it.

I do believe they purposely make confirmations, folios, and use of credits totally confusing. I've learned to write everything down when booking, as it is difficult to find your rates once you've booked. When checking out, they rarely give you a folio unless you ask. Trying to figure out a folio when using some comps is next to impossible. Keeping track of tier credits earned is also just about impossible. They could screw me every trip and it would be hard to know. It is hard for the consumer to figure all this out. Question is, do they do it on purpose?

I wish all the casino groups would be more transparent with how TCs/RCs are earned. CET tries on the RC front with a delayed monthly statement but I wish they'd tell me a bit more on the TC front as well.

That is a pretty funny response.

As a one-time courtesy, we're going to give you what you earned.

And then, just by osmosis, "one-time" gets turned into "1x."

I particularly like how when you book with an Offer Code, the code is listed nowhere on your booking. There was a time about 6-7 years ago I think that the offer code would print out on your booking - but since then I haven’t seen it once I confirm. All the confirmation emails and printouts don’t include it. I have gotten in the practice of taking a screenshot of everything during the booking process. Full disclosure, I have not had any issues getting my offers - knock on wood- but do take my screen shots with me for the time I do.

This reply was simply someone not wanting to just say we apologize there was a computer error which we have corrected. I will never understand a company not just wanting to say "our bad".

@gr8whitenorth I was told by my host that things like resort spend and such take up to 14 days to post typically and that even things like the gift shop can take a while to post so that there is no chance things can be returned.

I had an issue at a Marriott two weeks ago. Sent in a complaint. They use the exact same phrase - "as a one time courtesy." PR speak is alive and well.

I rarely use offers, as they often make my stay MORE expensive somehow. Never understood that.

Summer in AC is one of the exceptions. *If* you can get one of their free night codes to work (they "sell out" even though there are plenty of rooms available) then you can save money, even if it magically makes the non-free nights more expensive.

Also, these offers don't show it in "offers" anymore it seems; you need the e-mail or snail mail for the code.

@vinniemac274 I assume then, that you typically don't have comp rooms on the rate calendar either. We almost never book offers for the same reason (my most recent AC offer code is 4 free nights any day up to 4 times in the month) and if I enter that code I would pay for a 5th night. However if I just book through the rate calendar my 5 nights are comped and I can get a suite.

In season at AC? No. That's why I used two free nights at Caesars for that August stay.

My October offers are 3 weekday nights. I just made a 5 night Monday-Saturday reservation at Tropicana for next week. Without offer I'm Comped for everything but Friday ($25). With offer Thursday stops being free.

I will never understand the math that's going on behind the scenes.

@vinniemac274 I asked my old host about this and he was pretty clear. The room rate calendar and the hosts capabilities are far more dynamic than a static offer. The static offers are algorithmically based and will typically (especially in local markets) not be as advantageous as what can be obtained by combining the daily offers in the local market with the rate calendar. For some the offers are great because they include some food and some free play (my Vegas offers are like that) but for mid rollers and below those typically come at the expense of less nights. I believe that they factor in the cost of those freebies to adjust the number of nights. Also because the offers are static and typically can't be stacked when you enter it in to the computer the computer is told this code get him x,y and z only, not xyz and also b and q if the other algorithm suggests it. That's the downside to offer codes. The upside is, as you saw, sometimes you can get some free rooms when you don't have any on the room rate calendar.

I find it hard to know what my spend and gambling amounts to at CET. At Cosmo, I can see line by line each place I spent money and how much I gambled in slots and what that amounts to as a reward points. I can easily see what is missing. At CET, they provide a monthly breakdown, but it doesn’t show specifics so I have no idea what is missing. I can only refer to the tier credits that shows when I login. I really feel like I am missing some—especially, my spa treatments and dining, but I have no way to prove. Plus, CET counts table ratings and I’d be curious what that is. Oh well.

On the Quest for Rewards it seemed like dining/bar checks were maybe missing for me, but as you say: no way to verify what happened.

I only caught the hotel folio thing because the 5x tier credit multiplier on hotel charges made it so very very egregious; *thousands* of missing tier credits kinda jumped out at me.

I would still love to understand the HOW it is possible.

Slot machines count instantly and automatically.

Are monkeys in the back room manually entering folios on day 10 after check out?
