What are some of the best sports bars on the strip? That's usually my thing at home, but surprisingly out of all the times I've been to Vegas, I haven't really ventured to any. In the past I've enjoyed watching at Caesars Sportsbook, but didn't know if any of you VMBers had any good recommendations?

I've heard The Still in Mirage is solid (I stayed @ The Mirage back in 2013, don't remember it being there then) and in my last trip to Vegas, when staying at Planet Hollywood[, I noticed Blondies looked pretty good (and I hear they have a great happy hour special).

I'll be out during Week 3 of NFL season and I love NFL (Washington Football Team/Redskins) and college football (Maryland)... but I also want somewhere that will have The Ryder Cup on. Obviously sports books will probably have it featured on bigger screens during Thursday/Friday and one of the smaller screens on the weekend.

    Thanks for everyone's tips.

fellow Terp here, although I must give a thumbs down to the WFT. Let's go Cowboys!!! :) I'm heading out this Friday, and I'll be there for opening night Thursday and I've been seeking the same as you. I've narrowed it down to the MonteCristo bar in Caesars (a cigar bar) and the Stadia bar, also at Ceasars. Regardless of which I choose for Thursday night, I'll visit both at some point. I'll let you know how I like Stadia, which is a sports bar. I've been to montecristo before and I like it, but it was only to smoke cigars, not watch sports

You should find a Washington Backers Bar which would probably way way way more fun then anywhere on the Strip.

Tilted Kilt at Linq Promenade. Or off strip to one of the PT Pubs locations. I go to a dive bar called Mr D’s…..but it’s a Cowboys fan club, so be careful there! Steiner’s Pub shows as a Washington fan club bar

    LOL. Go Terps!

I've heard MonteCristo is great, I'll be stopping by there for sure at some point.

Thanks. I like the Yard House at Linq Promenade, good recommendation with Tilted Kilt.

I think Thursday/Friday won't be an issue to find golf on.

Did anyone who was out there for Week 1 find any great new sports bars?

Tap at MGM Grand. LaGasse Stadium at Venetian. Those are two on the strip that I can think of.

Here's another vote for TAP in the MGM. Great draft beer selection and it's right around the corner from the sportsbook

The Still is where the LOVE bar used to be in the Mirage.

Bump. I am looking for a place to watch the Penn State OSU game on October 30th. We are going to have 10 people and some of the places online only have reservations for 6-8. If I call could I get a reservation for more. I was looking at Stadium Swim, but dependent on the time of the game it may get chilly later on.

Yeah I think TAP is gonna be a good fit. Do you know if they have a happy hour or any deals? We have one here in DC at the MGM National Harbor.

I’m going to pass on The Still.

i've watched NFL sunday at Blondie's before - good place to watch all the games and they have pretty good deals, but it's really far away from the sports book if you want to make a half time hedge. great place for monday night or weekday games because of the 3 hour $20 happy hour deal - which is an amazing way to get blitzed for cheap in a short amount of time. i've never asked for a game and they weren't able to accommodate. even obscure college football games. if it's on TV, they probably have it.

i'm a fan of the place. it's got a college sports bar vibe, VERY unpretentious and you know going in that you're not going to get taken to the cleaners when the bill comes (bets not included).

if you're looking for anything on the fancy side, it's definitely NOT the place for you.

Hahaha great post. Although I don’t think Miller Lite is included in their happy hour deals apparently, bummer. Hate Bud Light lol.

unless it's changed since May i believe miller lite is included. it might be coors lite - but i know there's more than just bud lite.

they also repeat the deal late nights - which is a great way to kick off the festivities for those arriving later in the evening.

I also like Tap at MGM, but it's really busy on football weekends; you need to get there early, or you might wait. I usually go with Blondies - I can generally get in and sit at the bar.

They didn't when I was last there in 2019. I'm going again this weekend and can report back.

I haven't been since 2019 so I'm not sure what their HH offers are like. My guess is they don't have a lot of specials because the place is always packed on football weekends. I will likely be stopping in at some point this weekend and will report back if I see any good specials.

if access to the sportsbook is your main concern on a football sunday so that you can potentially hedge your bets - you can always just add some money to your caesars/betmgm online account and use that for hedges. that way you can go anywhere and not have to worry about it.
