You've got a few months yet, so I wouldn't say all is lost, mate.

Thanksgiving is a big deal, and I think the pressure is mounting to rescind the proclamation, given how things are playing out everywhere else.

Belgium also got it covered should we be allowed to travel to the US by them - it would take €42 for a PCR-test when traveling to the US (as the US will probably ask this), then upon return a test on day 1 or 2, and another on day 7. Because it’s the country asking you to do it, it’s completely free (you get testing codes). No quarantine, unless one of the tests is positive. These are the rules for vaccinated travelers.

Was meant to currently be in Frisco and picking up a hire car to drive to Vegas on Monday - finally admitted defeat at the start of the month and cancelled everything - looks like it will need to be 3rd time lucky for next September now.

Actually now going to Dublin for a few days instead - at least no tests required going in or out as we are double jabbed and i will still get a little bit of my Americana fix as i'm going to London in a couple of weeks for the Falcons v Jets NFL game

I should just be checking into the hotel at Heathrow, ready to fly out to Nomad in the morning.

Instead I'll be having a pizza and watching the UFC tonight :D

I’d be driving to Amsterdam this Monday, check into a nice suite then Tuesday noon should’ve been a direct flight to Vegas…

Me and the wife have had a conversation today about what happens when they cancel our November trip ( she can only make it once a year with annual leave) can’t believe we are now looking at Dubai in November

I’m looking at a December solo-trip if this is true. Then an April bachelor-party trip with a mate and then a September trip with the Ms.

Pent up demand, you say? :D

Finally some good news. Now we just have to decide if we still want to go. Is enough open? Has 'Vegas' changed too much? Can we handle mask mandates? Can we handle wearing a mask on the plane for 11 or so hours? Some soul searching to be done...

At this point, I'm willing to take a lot to get there!

There appears to be a press conference in about 1 and a half hours from the White House.
