MLife desk is closed at Mandalay and now you need to go to a separate line at the cashier. How does MGM not do the machine where you can stick in your Drivers License and it spits out a card

I found the most dangerous bartender in vegas.

I asked for a double vodka sprite and I did through most of my play at Caesars properties as well. This guy stared at me while he poured the vodka to the top and put a splash of sprite. "That'll put some hair on your sorry little ass. Good luck"

    I tipped $20 lol

Way better than this Caesars El Dorado 0.75oz pour shit.

He's also talking it up with these two other guys. Talking about him bartending at Harrahs Tahoe in the 80s. He's got some stories man

Some of these issues I truly think is age discrimination like that. And I've talked about it on here before.

I get it semi frequently at almost every casino in the world. I understand my generation doesn't gamble much but come on. Even when I'm talking to hosts or pit bosses or dealers. It's disgusting. An mid 50s woman betting $10 a hand gets treated way better than me a mid to late 20: man who's betting $25 hand. It happens so regularly.

And I'm not saying I should be treated better than a $10 player. Just anyone playing should be treated the same and I know that never happens

Well, if you're playing at CET, you're still tied to the light system. I really don't know long of a memory those lights have either. So say you were taking a 3 minute break, the new guy that follows the rules wouldn't have a clue you had 600 tier on your card, He just sees a flashing red light on the back of your machine. But if you were actively playing, you certainly had to be "green". The threshold to turn it green isn't too large.

And expecting all bartenders to give you a double comped is a very bad assumption.

I'm at Mandalay Bay and I asked about a light system. I know CETs light system and I've never been hit with a red while playing or asking for drinks. I even regularly get my hand behind the machine to see if I am getting crap lights lol

Oh yeah, forgot you moved to Delano, sorry. MB has nothing afaik in terms of metering. But yeah he probably should have just gave you a drink, and if he was worried about your play, keep an eye on your point balance after that.

But i dunno if any casino bartender is technically supposed to comp a double since a double anything is almost certainly $15+ retail (madness, I know).

Yea no worries. It is what it is.

Like I said at the beginning take it like a lazy river and go with the flow. Sometimes you might fall out of your raft or something but just keep going and it's all good brother. It is vegas after all

As a chick who's a couple years older than you but looks 13, (not really all the time! Come the fuck on), I get carded frequently. I get looks sometimes for ordering certain drinks at the bar, and they look at me, then ask to see ID, and look again. Not diggin' the age discrimination, and I can totally relate.

I'd say it has less to do with "your generation" and more to do with your age/demographics and where you were. Most people who go to Vegas in their 20's and 30's aren't gambling, they're partying at the pools and clubs. "Are you playing?" was a question me and my friends heard a lot on the strip back then. It's not uncommon for a group to pretend to play to get the free drinks. Now I'm 51, and on the last trip downtown a CW who'd been serving me all day handed me a beer from her tray as I passed her walking through the casino. :licklips:

No worries, one day you'll be old enough to be trusted with a free drink too. ;)

at 57, I’ve hit that age where I get the benefit of the doubt as soon as I sit down! Not sure it would have been a good thing for my future in my 20’s….

Agreed. I'm a bit older, but usually (mostly off Strip) the beer is almost in front of me before I'm in the seat.
