Going to Vegas the week before Christmas. We are a party of 5 and will spend some time on Fremont Street. Any recommendations for a good place for dinner? Steak house, Mexican or Italian food is a sure fire hit will all of us, even the picky eaters. Reservations needed? And how far in advance do we need to book them if needed? Thanks!

I really like Oscar's at The Plaza.

The food is good but the VIEW is what it's all about.

Old image but the only big difference now is just Circa instead of Vegas Club in the background.

I think reservations would be a good idea here and anywhere else you might be interested in eating.

    For fine dining:

    1)Andiamo's (the D)
2)Barry's Prime (Circa) - only rates lower because the price point is higher than Andiamo's

Haven't eaten anywhere else (Downtown) for fine dining.

Triple George is sooo good. Won't break the bank but quality food and martinis.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned American Coney Island. They're affordable and have 4 stars on Trip Advisor ;)

What's the budget for the 5 of you? That's really going to be the decider.

I really recommend Hugo's Cellar for an old school Vegas steakhouse experience. Prices are decent and the ambiance is great. My recommendation for Mexican would be Nacho Daddy and Italian would be Andiamo. Le Thai and 8East (same owner) are solid Asian choices if you're looking for Thai / Chinese.

Best is so subjective. Vic&Anthony's is a high end steak place in the Nugget. Grotto is Italian and not as high end as Vic&Anthony's but also in the Nugget.

7th&Carson is off Fremont East but comes highly recommended.

Pizza Rock is super casual and super delicious.

Le Thai has been mentioned but is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere so I'll mention it again.
