LOL, but yes I am making my way to the motherland tomorrow and believe it or not I am not ready in the least, I have been soo busy with work that I just said ffff it, what I don’t take with me I will buy in Vegas Plans are as follows, and also will need a bit of advise.

Trip 9:14-9/19

Flight: leaving tomorrow on American Airlines

Hotel : was going to stay arrival night at Resorts but then Cosmo sent me a room offer and so I decided to just book with Cosmo since I will be arriving late and not worth to pay to stay 1 night at Resorts.
Mirage 2 nights
Palazzo for 2 nights

Food - I really don’t know, the only thing I booked via Open Table was Bacchanal buffet. I think I may also hit Wicked Spoon.

Plans- Gambling/drinking/eating

Comps: Cosmo - terrace studio no freeplay/credits
MGM Comp- Mirage (penthouse) $650 freeplay and $400 Resort Credit
Palazzo- standard suite ($350 freeplay and $100 food credit)

Questions: how would you spend the $400 Resort Credit at Mirage and what would be the best strategy for the $650 freeplay ? I want to make it last but at the same time would like to hit a big one if possible

Mirage is one of my favorite high limit rooms! That's where i would go to try for a big one!

I don’t even bother telling people if I can get away with it. I got tired of the AGAIN and the eye rolling about 20 years ago. For some people Vegas is a once in a lifetime type thing.

 

After enough years you stop getting “Again?” Instead most conversations start with “So when are you going to Las Vegas?” If they don’t start with that it comes very soon into the conversation.

 

Same as others.. I don't even say where I'm going, they just assume when I announce "I'm going to be away for a few days."

Regarding OP questions, my answer depends on values. Are you

• I want that $400 resort credit to cover my spend, make it streeeeetch? Or
• I'd prefer to blow it all, splurge on a meal that is more than I'm willing to spend with real dollars?

You can spend Mirage resort credit anywhere in MGM properties. I travel solo... I'd indulge at Joel Robuchon

I play my freeplay a little more aggressively than my own money. If I'm betting $5.00-$7.50, I'll bet freeplay at $10.

If freeplay works on the new Roll To Win craps, that's where I'll be spending any future freeplay, any property that has it.

 

Lol! I just say I'm going "on retreat" (which is totally acceptable in my field). No need to specify where the retreat center is!

Well I don’t want to spend all at one time, maybe make it stretch for 2 meals at least… I love a very decadent dessert and a really good good drink

 

So since I don’t have a casino close by to pad my bankroll, it has become a little tradition of mine to go to bingo and Lady Luck was on my side

Right, I like that bingo hall the games pay out $400-$750 and the tabs pay from $400-1000. The buy in is $100 for 4 computers and 70 tabs, got lucky and won a tab right away for $699 and won an additional 2 tabs for $500 each. After taxes, tips and my initial investment plus a little more I came home around $1400 ​

 

So plan for today is getting the day over with so I can Vegas sooo excited.

Currently at work, Thought about asking one of my fellow nurses to cover my shift but decided not to, but I will be leaving a bit early though

So for now
I have checked In for flight
Have pet sitter lined up for the week
Got negative Covid results for both of us
Have Covid testing appt. for both on our return
Have extra bankroll money ( thanks bingo)

Made it to Vegas last night, plane was completely empty so that was a nice surprise. Was able to get an Uber to Cosmo right away.

Check in at Cosmo was fast as well since nobody was in line.

nothing eventful happened last night, had lots of drinks and lost a lot of money the slots were brutal

 

Had breakfast at Wicked Spoon, no wait at all. After breakfast I checked out of Cosmo and they comped all food charges ( had secret pizza last night and Wicked this morning) played a bit to see if maybe I had a little luck but nope.

I then took a taxi to Mirage ($10 plus tip) and my room was ready yay, I really really like this penthouse it’s nice. Hopefully I have better luck today.
