    Hello,
If given the choice of staying in a standard room at Main Street Station vs. Four Queens South Tower room, which one would you choose and why? I am primarily a slot player but also play some video poker. Thanks in advance!

I have not been inside of a MSS room in many years, but I am completely satisfied when I stay at the 4Q south tower.
It is convenient and spacious and includes a refrigerator.

QQQQ South Tower for sure. Better vp paytables, more generous comp earning rates, more recently renovated and you're right on Fremont St.

    MSS, and walk to 4Q.

I have stayed in both several times, and while I am FAR from a snob when it comes to my rooms, man those standard rooms at 4Q are just absolutely pathetic. MSS is as basic as can be too but at least the chairs are from this century. I also prefer the old school safe inside MSS, versus an electronic combination. The last time I stayed at 4Q I was put in a corner room...they are a little smaller than normal, I had a real vibe that I was the first person to step into the room in the last 40 years, you could have filmed a horror movie in that thing it was so erie.

Are you sure that was the South Tower? That sounds like a good description for a North Tower room.

Yes South Tower, but smoking room, so it still faces Fremont and still loud AF. The suites are nice though.

Okay, I was just checking. Yes, the ST smoking rooms do face Fremont so it would be noisy.

I cannot comment on the rooms but remember that MSS is a Boyd property and all the "issues" that go with it.

4Q is independent and has one of, if not the best, comp deals in town. Good VP, good cash back, good comp dollars, good mailers.

Never stayed at MSS but we’re here now at QQQQ. South tower 19th floor 2 queen smoking room. Yes it was loud last night but other than that our only complaint was with the shower. I thought I was being very careful with the shower curtain but still managed to get water all over the floor. Maybe just a learning curve while trying to figure out the shower head vs the body jets. We’ll see how it goes today.

Main Street is my home. Don't mind the walk, enjoy the quiet compared to 4Q, and we love ending the night at Triple 7s.

The sound level in the room is vastly different. MSS standard rooms feel larger but not much nicer. Staying in suites at 4Q's is a game changer for me. I do feel at home in MSS but they decided to cut my comps back so far that I had to explore other options. I do like 777 and miss the days we used to spend a lot of time over there.

I'd stay and play at 4 Queens due to better player's club and rooms, and maybe walk down to MSS for some of their Beer and Bar Top VP.

Do all of the smoking rooms in the Four Queens South Tower face Fremont Street?

I probably misspoke so perhaps someone can verify. It may only be that some of the rooms face Fremont St.

I'm not a smoker, but it is my understanding that floors 16-19 are smoking floors, all rooms.

If you are taller than 5’ beware of the MSS shower heads that are so low washing your hair is a pain!

Thought they would have been changed after all these years.
