I've been CET Diamond plus for several years and generally only keep doing it to get the comp rooms, show tix, spa visit, and Laurel Lounge access. Seems like I always had 5 nights comp any night but checking in future now I see spotty comp of 2-3 nights a week and generally no Saturdays. And then add to that the "nope" on the show tix, Laurel Lounge, and spa access and it's not much value at all anymore.

On my last trip I was playing at a VP bar and ordered my usual Absolut and soda, but was told "nope". Diamond now only gets well unless i wanted to print out my Laurel Lounge voucher to pay for it. I took the well drink and watched the carefully measured half-shot pour. No thank you.

So with all of the cuts made, I just can't find anything to really justify giving more play there anymore other than no resort fee (which is mostly a BS charge anyway). I did requalify for base Diamond this year, but think I may just run out any free rooms I may get, use the celebration dinner somewhere, and give my play to somewhere else like MLife that seem maybe better.

I mean, hey I get it. It's a business with a bottom line. But all the cuts just sort of cut me away from them and it's hard to find the reason for loyalty.

Tier benifits are not strong at most casinos.
Mlife Gold is probably the equivalent of CET diamond

As far as Tier benifits go I would say there is still more reasons to get CET diamond over Mlife Gold.

    CET Diamond
    -Priority line cutting
    -$100 Celebration Dinner
    - No resort Fees
    - Other garbage generally thought to be of very little value

    Mlife Gold
    - Earn more express comps (20% vs 10%)
    - Priority Line cutting
    - Other Garbage generally thought to be of very little value

I am sure others have a different opinion (especially on the stuff I refer to of little value)
Mlife "might" be better for offers/comps when they look at your play and I tested them out on my last trip and am waiting to see what offers come but as far Diamond vs Gold just looking at what the status card will get you, I think CET still beats out Mlife

Ive been Diamond or 7stars since i was 21, now 37. with so much changing for the worse, Im not even trying to maintain base Diamond this year. I have one local casino I cant even go to because of Vax checking and from a friend, he said its now completely dead inside, it will eventually open to all but with construction, i can save or spend my money elsewhere until its finished. my only real benefit is the waived resort fees and priority check-in. I go to vegas often, maybe 20-30 days a year and those resort fees would add up fast. after this year, ill probably just get founders card for a year or two to eliminate those resort fees

I’m a few thousand TC short of diamond and am probably done for the year. Like you, I used to have Saturday’s comped everywhere but now it’s spotty.

It’s pretty clear, in numerous areas, that CET has really cut comps across the board, be it rooms, FP, food, etc. This is in addition to the specious rationale insofar as all Laurel Lounges in Vegas being closed, but somehow, covid is apparently different in AC whereby they can be open.

I played at a much higher clip my trip a few weeks ago, and the needle hasn’t moved my comps back to what they were. Perhaps it takes a bit longer but I’m doubtful things will stabilize. I’m not sure MLife is much better, so as much as I was hoping to not do this, I may start playing downtown where I know black chip BJ gets something.

I used to at least accept what CET was doing was a good business move, as much as I personally hated it, but this short sightedness insofar as nickle and diming long-standing customers will, eventually, bite them in the ass. Remember, demand is still high now so they can get away it, but not forever.

It wouldn't be worth me keeping either if the only place I went was Vegas. I live in Memphis and thankfully the lounge in Tunica is still alive and well. One change I have noticed however..well, let me start off by saying I will get Diamond Plus by playing enough VP to get exactly 2500 TCs then earn the bonus, and I stop at exactly 25,000 TCs and don't give them a dime more. It usually takes them several trips to decide to cut me off from comps. Anyways, this last trip to Vegas I earned 2500, two days in a row, Vegas is throwing suites at me right and left meanwhile Tunica still has a rate of $250 on the weekends for me, that's different than pre El Dorado, so apparently they aren't linking play across the nation for comps like the old system did. Anyways if I didn't live right next to a lounge, heck no I wouldn't go for it, I want to drink all night for free...not a couple of cocktail voucher in exchange for me running $75,000 through your machines.

It’s not going to get much better, CET having those tier multipliers that make people Diamond that would never made it. So if you actually earn it your going to lose some of the benefits because I can’t imagine they won’t either take some benefit away or require additional play to qualify for the same rewards as in the past,

I would have liked for them to keep the original point level criteria without giving any tier bonus points.

Actually, I think they are having those tier multipliers because their numbers are starting to show that their Diamonds and Seven Stars members have declined from 2019 and this is the only way to entice them back to a given tier level. I have dropped a tier and have no inclination to match my 2019 tier. I know several Seven Stars who are at 1 TC.

I don't think mlife will be any better for you, but if you're unhappy, nothing wrong with a change. But, remember, room comps have nothing to do with whether you're diamond or not.

If you’ve never played or haven’t played a long time, another casino is worth the teaser offers. The Venetian was very generous with only a few thousands played for me. Seems like if you haven’t played a while the Wynn has started over with people and given teaser offers.

Take a break from Caesars and maybe after a while they’ll give you a nice enough offer to return.

Last few years I got comped CET rooms at every property 7 days a week. Now, with the Raiders playing I would have to pay for Saturday, which I won't do. My next trip is Wed-Sat. If I put a push on this year I could get diamond, but why ? I don't do clubs or shows or buffets or pools. Meh...

At MGM, rates and offers reflected the Raiders dates at first. Now it looks better. Maybe it’s the vax requirement at the stadium, casino mask requirement or they bought too much into the hype but rates are lower now. Offers have opened up around those dates too. Check again if you haven’t recently.

Also more multipliers at the local and semi-locals this year. Would be a tier or two lower without maxing out several of those this year. Have been doing more strategic visits during multipliers.

Disappointed with the cuts to service and benefits at CET which appear permanent. Multiple properties I've visited have had lounges and buffets closed which greatly reduces the experience for me. Especially since those properties also lack much for alternatives unlike LV.

Benefits seem like they are being cut, but I really enjoy being able to get the 4 daily drinks at the pool.

simple drinks there are $19 so saving close to $80.

The only reason that I renewed CET diamond was

1)Resort fees covered should I decided to stay at a CET property
2)5X multipliers made it easy to do
3)Although I'm done with Las Vegas as a CET destination. New Orleans, Lake Tahoe and maybe Reno are still in play.

I don't think it's just CET. I've though about it and re-thought about switching to mLife, but in the end, they don't give that much benefits for similar tier level either. At least at CET, I still get my rooms for free, the resort fee and valet parking waived, and the $100 dinner celebration - which is all I use my Diamond status for (now that the show tix are gone). So, just go where you enjoy playing and staying.

@meyers67 I tried to use my Laurel Lounge vouchers at the Caesars Palace pool and they wouldnt take them there. Where are you getting to use your vouchers at the pool?
