Helping my daughter plan a bachelorette trip to Vegas next March, should be five to six 26 year olds, was thinking the Elara by PH, thinking this would be a good choice considering everyone could be in one room, good location to. Any comments are welcome, Thanks...

Location is good, but I'd probably go for something like a Palazzo 2 queen room, and then you have 3 big beds (with the lounge sofa), and a lovely sized bathroom, too.

That is what I recommended to some friends of mine a couple years ago for a bachelor party, anyway.

i had my bachelor's party at Elara - albeit 9 years ago.

i highly recommend it - especially for your given purpose.

we had a two bedroom suite - which was (and remains) reasonably priced all things considered.

one bedroom had two beds, the other had one. the couch is a huge L shaped wraparound. i don't remember if it pulls out or not but i do remember that it didn't matter. someone slept on it.

full kitchen, huge fridge, projection TV that takes up an entire wall - there was a hot tub in the two bed room.

quiet place - a lot of timeshares i think so it's not always busy (which is good for a bachelorette as you're less likely to run into noise complaints)

easy to get in and out of.

    downsides?

you need to walk through the Miracle Mile shops to get to the casino floor. not an issue for me - but the mall can be disorientating when you're, uh, not of the proper state of mind.

it's connected to PH through the mall, but it's technically a separate property. you can't charge to the room, wont' get any CET points, etc.

the pool is probably nicer than the one at PH (which is just a box in the ground) but yea, it's not a party pool so you'd have to go off site. you also don't get access to the PH pool if you're at Elara (which isn't exactly something to lose sleep over).

I think @irishdave and his wife stay there quite a bit. Maybe he’ll chime in here.

I believe that Elara has 3-bedroom units. But not sure if Hilton would have any inventory to rent since this is an HGVC timeshare...

I think Elara is a very solid call. It doesn't compare to Wynncore or V/P, but it's very reasonably priced for very large rooms. It's also well-known for handling younger large groups. I wouldn't stay there myself, but I'm also too old for it. It's often tossed around as a go-to for things like bachelor/bachelorette parties, festival weekends, etc.

I never thought I'd say this, but I was also surprisingly impressed by Polo Towers last time my friends stayed there. However, getting to/from that place on foot is an enormous pain. But the rooms are pretty nice.

IMHO I think Elara would be perfect. We have a HGVC timeshare, so we do stay there a lot and we really like it. It has everything from studios up to a 4 bedroom suite. I'm actually staying there with my sister and her family in a 4-bdr over St Paddy's Day! As @44inarow says it's not Wynncore, but I think it compares favorably with Aria. And I will respectfully disagree with him, he's not too old for it, it draws a pretty diverse group.

For your daughter, I'd recommend a two-bedroom corner suite and an attached studio. That could sleep six without anyone sleeping on the sofa. The two-bdr corners are huge!! The regular two-bdr would work too, but it would be less space. All the rooms have refrigerators, microwaves, and utensils...the suites have a full fridge, the studios have a mini-fridge.

I'm not sure what the prices are now as we use points, but I understand they're pretty reasonable for the size of the rooms. @Headache 21 's comments above are spot on and I would add that cabana rental is very reasonable, but you have to pay for food and drink. By March it's usually warm enough to do some pool time. It's not a party pool like Flamingo, but it's a very nice pool.

If a party pool is a key part of the plans, take a look at Hilton Grand Vacations Flamingo. It has two-bedroom suites and I think they have an arrangement with Flamingo to use the pool (if you go that route, call to make sure). HGVC Flamingo is older and the rooms are smaller, but it's also a great location right behind Flamingo. I like Elara much better, but like @44inarow, I'm too old to party anymore!

PS, if you want pics of the rooms at either place, let me know and I'll sort through my camera roll
