IIAC, masks are required at bars and restaurants when not actively eating or drinking, same as on the casino floor.

There have been exemptions for people who are actively eating and drinking. I assume the logic is that it's hard to eat or drink with a mask on. ;) I guess you could just keep a drink straw in your mouth at the bar and keep your mask off, but you really should be putting it back up between sips of your drink.

That makes complete sense... I was just trying to wrap my head around the comment by lhooq about the VP Bars versus playing VP at a machine on the floor - "Now, at the pool, VP bar tops... no one cared. But they were definitely enforcing on the gaming floor." Enforcing masks has to be an exhausting job ever day so my guess is they let it slide in areas they feel they can. We're going to Biloxi in a week and masking is recommended but not required and my plan is to at least wear one while walking around. It should be interesting to see what others are doing.

    I got home last week.

    NYNY 99 percent masked up
    ParkMGM. 99 percent masked up
    Aria 99 percent masked up
    Cosmo 99 percent masked up

A vast majority are masked up. And yes, you are reminded to mask up. It’s not that bad….

It's 3am and I walked back to my room. It is so busy and not many people heading to bed. It's busier then 2019 but with masks. I don't see much sanitizing. Nothing like back at Canada where they ask you to sanitize before you walk in a retail store.

Mainly at Aria. Everyone is wearing mask so compliance is quite high with reminders from security. There are some that don't wear a mask over their nose. Compared to Canada, you just have to be prepared for no social distancing at all. I haven't seen too many hand sanitizers and not many people using them at tables. I don't think I have seen any sanitizing Stations in the casinos. May have missed them.

It could be that I am not good ar spotting them. In Canada, they put out tables in front of groceries stores so most people use them as you enter.

Most were at entrances to casino areas, elevator lobbies, etc. at MGM properties, they also had masks available at the sanitizer stands.

I went last weekend and did not see as many sanitizing stations and mask dispensers as I saw last October. I also didn't see random extra hand washing stations.

I would say mask usage at table games was high, but if someone was wandering around the slots or floor with no mask, I generally didn't see security harassing them. Still was pretty good compliance, like 85%+

Last month there were sanitizer stations everywhere. Some of them actually worked.

Day 1 impressions of mask compliance in Vegas. Early in the day i was fairly impressed and saw compliance everywhere. Getting into the evening it got spottier. Worst and most troublesome spots are elevators for self park and rooms. Coming down from rooms some forget and some dont bother.

most indoor walking theough casinos don't bug me and at least elevator rides are short. Have yet to attempt play though or dine somewhere busy.

Clark county cases have been slowly trending down from my following of things leading ip to the trip. Still too high but the mask mandate seems to let them more or less hold serve.

It also highly depends on properties. Lux is at the lower end with no enforcement whatsoever. Ballys they were enforcing all the time

Elevators at Ballys were great no matter the time of day. Lux is absolutely awful. 3 out of 10 wearing masks.

MGM Grand was fantastic. No issues. PH people just behaved on their own.

See I saw the opposite. Coming from the pool at mgm. I saw 50% little compliance from pool goers walking thru the mall.

Aria security was good at enforcement but Caesars isn't.

I guess it also depends on the day or time.

We just came up to the room at Lux and encountered maybe 50 people. 48 were unmasked and my wife and I were about the only ones masked.

Security on the floor stopped 2 people and they took them off as soon as they walked 10 feet away.

Just leaving tomorrow and we went to countless properties. The bottom line is compliance is slightly above average and security ranges from average to non existant. It simply boils down to personal behavior. Some places are better but as soon as they get crowded the ability to have security help bottoms out.

Coming from Canada (specifically Ontario) where compliance is in the high 90's there is little comparison. Now don't take this as judgement or anything else other than observation.

Uber drivers seem very strict though and at the airport it is all but absolute.

    Stay healthy everyone.

I’m in shock. I was in Vegas during Labour Day.

I don’t think I saw 10 people (total) in all the casinos walking around massless. That was a 10 day trip….

I think a lot of this is going to be subjective. It's going to depend on when and where you are and what you're seeing. Someone who comes from a highly compliant area of the country (Or Canada :) ) is going to notice maskless people more than someone who is more used to seeing them, and vice-versa.

Your personal, not editorialized, experience is what we've created this thread for, to help other people make up their minds about visiting.

My recent experience at Vegas sports books, Sept. 9-11. Primm Valley: most wearing, but I think the casino could care less and zero security asking you to put up your mask. Wynn: Lowered masks while sitting at a cubicle was no problem, even got up a few times, absentmindedly, without it, no consequences. Ballys: crowded for Sunday football, but you could probably go without a mask throughout your time at their sports book and no one would say anything. Rio: small sports book, but security is on you right away for sitting at your cubicle without a mask.
