Do you visit Park MGM more since it became entirely non-smoking?

I plan on leaving CET because of all the El Dorado nickle and diming. I want to switch to Park MGM because of the better air quality, since no smoking is allowed. I always get nasty acne after sharing a room with smokers for a couple of hours. My skin is so sensitive, you know! Plus, I find it safer during the Covid pandemic to not be in an environment where smokers are allowed to take their masks off to exhale smoke particles from their lungs. No offense intended!

Have you guys visited Park MGM more since it became smoke free? What's it like out there?

Are slots and VP any good ?

First time staying in a couple days!!! Very excited and could see home base switching from Belagio to ParkMGM if it has a good vibe too.

If anything, smoking has dramatically decreased in all the strip casinos. Back in the day, you couldn't leave a casino without smelling like smoke, but whether it is lower smoking rates or just more polite smokers, but I can't think of a place on the strip where smoking is a big issue.

I personally prefer non-smoking, but it's no longer an intense smoke experience in any major casino.

I think it's a combination of both. My apartment building theoretically allows smoking, but everyone who smokes goes outside for it. I really don't mind a slight background smell of smoke, but I agree, the days of walking around in a haze of smoke and coming out smelling like it have mostly fallen by the wayside on the Strip.

To answer the OP's question, I visit about the same amount as before. I've just never been a big fan of the casino, though I do really enjoy many of the restaurants. It being non-smoking is certainly a nice perk, though! But even at places like Aria or Bellagio, seeing someone smoking at a table is pretty rare.

    Visit more frequently? No

But walked there during recent stay at Mandalay Bay while visiting NYNY & MGMGrand.... because, unlike prior trips, smoke was really bothering me. So Park MGM was a welcome respite

Nomad is a favorite... but it's the resort at which I've had most cancellations foced by Covid. If not for that, I'd have visited even more.

I walked through there a few weeks ago and could really tell the difference with no smoke in their casino. It was enjoyable enough for me that I would consider staying there in the future because of it. The only video poker I played there was .25 JOB at 7/5, but then again, 7/5 JOB was standard at every strip casino at .25.

I’m planning on visiting ParkMGM next time specifically because it is smoke free. I imagine I’ll like it and stay there in the future, who knows, it could become my new home base.

Agree with this 100%. Anecdotally I've noticed smoking decline in casinos even in only the 5 years I've been going to Vegas. It used to be someone lighting up at every table or slot bank I've sat at, now it seems a rarity.

Park MGM is great, the no smoking a bonus. Good selection of games and for table minimums generally among the lowest you'll find on the strip. Good machine selection too however VP players won't find very good paytables.

Seems busier, I think it is getting more popular. Not just a lack of smoke, but a cleaner place. In comparison some of the CET casinos have gotten pretty trashy, especially on weekends. Not sure if due to messier guests or cleaning cutbacks, maybe both. Just takes one person lighting up a stinking cigar to make things unpleasant for me.
Drink service was so so. Though can be an issue at a number of places in LV. Had a handpay and oddly got skipped over, had tipped and was going to tip extra. One of the servers sadly seems frazzled, not the first time I've had issues there.

It hasn't caused me to visit more frequently, yet. COVID has kept me from visiting Vegas at all. But - back in October this year if all goes well. And yes, will visit Park. I have stayed there once, looking forward to seeing if I can tell the difference between then and smoke free now.

I did probably close to 75% of my gambling there on my last trip.
This was mostly because of no smoking.
If they had better Carnival Table game selections I would have spent even more time there.

I enjoyed my stay in NoMad in June. I’d have to say I didn’t love the room. No storage, no fridge, smaller sized room. But the AC worked and it was clean. The casino isn’t huge but has all the newer machines , and not so busy that you can’t get on a machine. The non smoking part is definitely a plus. Drink service is awful unless you are sitting at the bar playing VP.I liked the casino, liked the food choices. Primrose and Bavette’s are very good.

I don't think there's any excuse for not having refrigerators in Nomad rooms and Park MGM suites.

We made the decision to stay there on an upcoming trip (mid october) due to it being non-smoking. Played a little while last trip, very relaxed vibe in there.
Eataly was typical strip prices for "grab and go" style food, but definitely more upscale than typical "grab and go", so at least felt better value (still not cheap though!)

I just got back from there. I love the non-smoking. Nomad is awesome and the Nomad pool is great. The Nomad high limit casino is also very nice. Bavette's is one of the best steak houses on the strip. It's small, but I love it.

Agree however the NoMad front desk did offer to send one up without asking last time we stayed.

It's a lousy, overpriced, half-assed remodel to try to get away with a lame reason and new name to jack up the prices on what used to be arguably the best mid range property on the Las Vegas strip.

They did a pathetic job of remodeling, took out the best food options and installed a bunch of high priced crap to replace those. They tore out one of the absolute best pool areas and replaced it with pathetic dull and boring pools with nothing going on.

We probably stayed at Monte Carlo 25 times over the years prior to the remodel and it was our favorite place to stay. We stayed one time for 3 night after the remodel and will never go there again for anything. They were having such a low occupancy when they reopened after the covid shut downs, they decide to try to gimmick it up with the no-smoking deal. But it has not worked and they continue to struggle and room rates are going down and down.

The room remodels are a complete disaster and probably the worst room I can ever remember having in Las Vegas.

I'm an ex-smoker, but the casino smoking is just not a big deal except for a few people who just like to complain about anything.

I highly recommend staying damn near anywhere else that Park MGM ....

    I love everything about Park.
The rooms were nice, though small. Admittedly, I've only stayed there one night, just wanted to try it.
I love the color scheme and vibe. We played there several times on our trip in July and it was definitely crowded.
I LOVE the smoke-free atmosphere. As others have mentioned, smoking has decreased considerably at all the casinos lately but I still prefer no smoking at all.
I love the casino. I love that they have both craps and crapsless at $15, even in the evenings.
Some of the food options are *amazing* - Best Friend, Bavette's, Eataly

    I highly recommend it!

They really did ruin that pool. But it was pretty clearly time for the floor and rooms to get a refresh
