Truthfully, the airlines have to refund full amount if you cancel within 24 hours.
I always wait until a few days before and book, print confirmation, then cancel. Hate to say that, but that way I can use
my full 600 or 1200 freeplay.
I also of course, have my original airfare that I purchase a month or so before. Guess that's kinda cheating, but with all
we spend, they should just give the 600/1200!

Also FYI, Caesars Palace is no longer requiring a printout of the flight receipts. You can just show it on your phone, they glance at it, then they issue you the full $600 or $1200 freeplay to your card.

Good to know. Caesars was always pretty easy,
getting reimbursed. I just don’t know if I got more than I spent got air fare. My fare usually pretty high because I always got extra legroom seats on JetBlue which added extra to the flight cost. Actually my upcoming 7* trip cost more than $1,200.

If you book something like Business Select, it's always refundable up until close to flight time, with the bonus that it costs more so it's easier to eat up the credit

Who issues the credit for airfare? Do you have to contact a host to input the credit or can they do it at the registration desk or Caesar Reward desk? Thanks

I have always done it at the rewards desk, however, I don't have a host.

Does anyone know if PH still has a Caesars Rewards Desk? As for hosts the last time I was there Oct 2020 hosts were working from home so I am not sure I can find a host on duty.

PH does have a Rewards desk, there are hosts on site. Had the desk process mine.

Before redeeming FP at PH double check that they still have machines you want to play. They've been removing a bunch of older machines. I will probably use my FP elsewhere next time as didn't care for PH as much on my last visit.
I'm not sure if you can use the FP beyond the property it is redeemed at. Before you couldn't, not sure now.

Thanks for info. I hope I can use it at other Caesars sits but if not maybe PH has something that would interest me.

When did they start that? They didn't do that earlier in this year.

I did my $600 Diamond Elite reimbursement in June, and my $1200 retreat reimbursement in July. Both times they just looked at the receipt on my phone.

Last year, when I did my $600 at Harrah's, they asked me to email or print the receipt.

In August PH needed emails/receipts forwarded.

In August, Caesars Vegas needed a printout of my flight.

Oh wow, maybe it depends who you get? In August, a friend also showed her receipt on her phone at Caesars and it was accepted.

I have turned in 4 receipts for reimbursement at Caesars Palace this year. All went smoothly, but what was required and how it was scrutinized was highly dependent on who the agent was. I think in all cases they wound up keeping a printed copy of the receipt “for their records.”

Honestly, I don't see a downside with presenting a printed copy of the air fare purchase when seeking a reimbursement by free play. I have always been asked for it. What's the big deal in making a print out (or two)?

No big deal to me, I am just reporting my experience.

@dankyone, my friend, I didn't mean to really direct my comment to you. But since I quoted you, I can see that was the inference. Frankly, the ease of Ceasarado giving free play reimbursement for flight offers (at least in Vegas) is one of the few things I cannot criticize it for. Now don't get me started on no maid service during my stay.

    :)

I agree, the flight reimbursement is a nice benefit, icing on the cake. No complaints or criticisms from me either. It is no hardship for me to book a flight to Vegas or print out a receipt for it. Booking a flight through Passport travel was a royal pain in the rear.

I was more wondering about the full 600/1200 part in my post. Guess I assumed receipts were less than the full amount. They used to do the full amount for me ages ago no question, not so much recently.
