    My Trip Report

I'm bending the rules just a bit and posting the night before I head to Vegas. I'm getting up and heading directly to the airport in the morning, so I'm moving forward with the TR a smidge early. After my last foray to Vegas got cancelled due to illness, although not THE illness, I'm stoked to be heading back to my home away from home for a two week long working trip. Depending on what time zone you are in I could be technically getting to Vegas today.

    The Hotels
    4 Nights - Palazzo - playing in the 3 x $25,000 slot tournies promo
2 Nights - Planet Hollywood - only staying 1 night but double booked due to work obligations
    3 Nights - The D - Vue Bar & Football Watching
    3 Nights - Cal
2 Nights - Rampart on free night rewards won from their August online game

    The Gambling
I only have a couple of long play days in mind - particularly an NFL Sunday bellied up at Vue Bar and a day slotting up and down the strip. Otherwise, I plan on bopping around all over town hitting up locals casinos and bars and generally doing whatever I want, because .... VEGAS!

    The Food
So far I only have two reservations - Mizumi Teppan to use up my birthday F&B credit from the Wynn status match and é by Jose Andres which has been on my bucket list forever. Very much looking forward to both meals. Hoping to get into some old favorites and check out some new places on the fly - being solo and flexible makes this much easier. Fingers crossed.

    The Misc.
    • I'll be spending time down in Henderson visiting family and getting in some pool time with the babies.
    • I'm working from my room which is always a bit of a challenge, but both weeks are short weeks for me which makes it easier.
    • I'm hoping to check at least a few things off of my constantly expanding Vegas To Do List including the new Pinball Hall of Fame space, Resorts World, and maybe, finally, getting to Red Rock and/or Valley of Fire (but don't hold your breath)
    • I really enjoyed hitting up random locals bars for a drink and whatever VP sign-up bonus they are running the last couple trips. I have a few new (to me) places on the list for this trip.
    • I've been considering going down to Laughlin for night. I've been back and forth on it a dozen times. I'm just going to play it by ear based on how both work and the trip are going.
As always, I'm going to do this semi-live. Expect random, blurry pictures of VP wins, food, drink, and random Vegas throughout the day. I'll try to get caught up to live at least once a day, but no promises.

Have a great trip. My 2 week trip comes up a week after you get home.
I would recommend 2 nights in Laughlin. It’s not a bad drive from LV but if you spend a day driving down and then run around to the casinos and then drive right back the next morning it will be an exhausting trip. To drive down, spend the evening in your casino and then have the whole next day to check out the river taxi and the other casinos and really see what Laughlin is all about without having to drive back to LV that same day is much more relaxing. Two nights gives you a full day in your destination. As for Laughlin, I could never spend a third night there again. Lol…but the people are really nice.

    Yay Eliza is back!

I had to double book for work on every trip I have taken in the past year. It is kind of a buzz kill to have to factor that in. But VEGAS!!!!

HELL yes. Love your reports as I've been drifting farther and farther from the strip with each passing trip and love hitting out of the way spots. Always learn something new and add stops to my to do list from your reports, so I'll be following along religiously. Have a great time!

Airport lounge with a fruity cocktail and a non-alcoholic pink drink. Just to mix it up. Next stop Vegas.

Have a great trip! You’re inspiring me to do a WFH trip in Vegas. But I could probably only do a day and a half, not two weeks! :evillaugh: Looking forward to following along!

I love your reports and will try to follow along. But since I will be in Vegas tomorrow, I will most likely have to catch up on the first few days at the end of my trip.
    Good luck and have fun.

Arrived right on time. Mucked about at the airport a bit and was down almost $300. Luckily had one nice hit and managed to eke out a $5 win. Woo hoo. Off to pick up a car and head to Henderson for the family’s Labor Day picnic. Checking into Palazzo later tonight and may hit up a local joint or two. We will see how the day goes.

Pretty much empty. They had yogurt, fruit, some pastries, and bagels/bread to toast. Nothing too exciting. My favorite part of the lounge is the coke freestyle machine. Raspberry Sprite Zero is my jam!
