    Up my butt

But if you're asking seriously, I just threw it in my carryon. The in laws asked a similar question. Actually, my partner's mother thought it was a stack of fake money when I brought it back to the room, lol. The vegas TSA doesn't even blink at that amount of cash. They see so much cash go through their scanners that they know its not a big deal. I've carried more than twice that amount through security in the past without a problem.

I don't know. Someone like @44inarow probably has more expertise on that question than I do

I have seen that too. But I go to vegas so often, I enjoy playing tour guide and spending time with friends and family when they come out. I can do the gamble all night thing when I am out there by myself.

Right now, my sister and her son are planning to drive into vegas from Colorado for super bowl weekend. She loves seeing the baby and will watch him while we go to a super bowl party. And that weekend will be my nephew's twelfth birthday (he met us in Vegas once when he was two; he was absolutely enamored with the ducks in the Bellagio fountins lol). So I am excited to see them and watch my nephew have a big time for his birthday

I followed TRs on LVA for many years and on this board for the last 7-8 years. Very few talk about losses. Reminds me of a line from a Danny O'Keefe song called tThe Road.
"You forget about the losses and exagerate the wins." I remember one LVA member that was RFB at a number of casinos and played $1-5 VP. I don't think I ever heard her call any trip a losing one, but if you read between the lines about this losing session along with the others, you knew it was. It's refreshing to have someone at UK's level admit to some substantial losses.

I know since Vegas reopened last summer, that Bellagio trip in January was the only losing trip (you can read it; it was ugly; fucking three card poker :cuss:). So I've been on a real fortunate hot streak. But some of those reports that included big comebacks (such as my first Mansion trip or (i think) my Cosmo trip from late last year) I was one or two hands away from big losses. I was fortunate to win more of those 20k bets than I lost. 2019 was a disaster year for me gambling (lost over 200k). Can't recall how many reports I wrote that year. So don't have a false impression. I'm not pretending that I always win. I lose plenty. Just not lately

If I lose, I am less likely to write about it. I think that's just human nature. But I'm always honest about my wins and losses. Read my live TRs and you will defintiely see some big loss trips sprinkled in there

There's no great secret. I play low HA table games, have a very large bankroll at my disposal that permits me to chase losses effectively if I get down, and most importantly, I am more than willing to get up and walk away. I have absolutely no problem standing up and walking away any time I am up at a table. And I mean anytime. I still recall the time @tringlomane chuckled when I told the story of walking away from a VP machine after a big hit on the second hand! We all know varaince can swing in your favor. When it does, leave! Because inevitably its going to swing the other way some point.

That is why I remind people who want to gamble with me that I am an incredibly boring gambler. Its like playing with a robot. I sweat it a little when I am chasing and cranking my bets up to the five figur range. But otherwise, I just sit there, chat with the dealer or supervisor a little, make the same boring low HA bets, follow the rules I set for myself (most of the time), and walk away when I reach a certain level :snore::snore::snore:

NYNY is honestly one of my favorite casino floors, even above Paris. The gambling conditions have gotten terrible, but visually, it's amazing (though I may be biased as a former NYC denizen).
Shouldn't be a problem as long as you're just talking winnings. The various regulators care primarily about where the money came from and is going to; it's mostly a paper trail thing. That said, I'd probably call over to the particular casino and confirm. I'll warn you that it can be somewhat of a battle to connect to the cage by phone, but calling casino credit might be your best bet.
Could not agree more on all counts. Obviously I'd rather win than lose, but I'd rather play than not play.

Yeah when people write reports "after the fact", it's a lot less enticing to relive a losing trip by writing it up. Especially if it was a real ass kicking. And I did have a 7-trip Vegas winning streak until my last trip, so the unlikely can happen!

That's absolutely my favorite part, and has been for years. If I just want to play blackjack, there are plenty of places to do that. But showing people who've never seen the Bellagio fountains, or the NYNY casino floor, or the flamingo habitat at Flamingo, is awesome.

You must have a listening device in my home. I showed my wife the 50K wrapped in plastic and basically told her everything you just said. I said UK plays big and consequently he can limit his exposure. He has enough capital that he can chase his losses. He plays low HA games Playing at his level he can get up 25k and walk away or if he falls behind he can increase his bets and when it swings his way he will walk away when he gets back to even. To put it in perspective when UK walks away 25K ahead that is like me walking away $250.00 ahead. If we all kept our expectations realistic we would leave ahead a lot more often. The problem is to low level guys like me aren't happy walking away with a 25% win. IOW I buy in for 1K leaving with $250.00 doesn't excite me. I swear I always seem to win more in the HL room even though I am only playing black chips I just seem to get up enough to leave. When I play green I might last a lot longer but I very rarely get ahead enough to be happy to leave. I didn't mean to hijack your thread but IMHO you have all of the pieces of the puzzle in place to increase your chances of leaving a winner.

I love the themed resort, so I like walking through there too. The lights strung across the ersatz streets of NYC always make me smile

You didn't hijack at all. I started this discussion. Similarly, when I used to play smaller, I gambled a lot more and often ended up a loser. I'm not sure if it was because I was chasing the feeling of bigger win, or just had the mentality of what the hell, I'm not risking a lot, let's keep playing. I have actually lost relatively much less money since I started playing bigger.

I have been going to casinos for eighteen years. The first eight, I would play small (bankroll always less than 8k). I don't have great records from that time, but I would estimate that I lost around 30k over those 8 years. Ten years ago, I started playing bigger. I increased my bankroll to 20k (and it grew from there). Over the past decade, I have gambled bigger, taken probably three times as many trips as the first eight years, and I am only down approximately 70k over that time. Admittedly, my losses over that span were over 200k before this current hot run. But I've probably taken almost 200 casino resort trips over the past decade (vegas and elsewhere). So if all I am paying out of pocket on these trips where I get fabulous comps is a thousand bucks gambling and probably another grand in other out of pocket spending, then I am going home extremely happy. And I attribute a lot of that to the mentality @Tutontow is describing. A 25% return on a thousand dollar buyin doesn't really move the needle. But these days, that percentage means I am up thousands of dollars. It makes it real easy to bank those wins and find other things to do

I'm guessing that a 63K win has a way of smoothing out any "quibbles" in a trip...Well played sir...

UK’s strategy—play low edge coin flip type games, increase bets/chase big time when losing—is going to result in winning trips most of the time when well bankrolled as he is. He is also able to walk away from the table with “small” wins, after all $50k is only 5 big bets for him. Most players big and small are simply not able to do this.

Occasionally, a huge loss will bite and claw back those wins. If you can stomach that big hit it can be a very satisfying way of gambling, since you feel like you are up most of the time on most of your trips.

I used to do something similar on a smaller scale when I played mostly blackjack. It’s harder to do now that I play mostly VP, which is more of a jackpot oriented game than a coin flip like BJ or Baccarat.

Thank you so much! I have always wanted to know how that worked just in case I were to run into a great problem like that. I considered cancelling my flight and driving the 13 hours home by renting a car, but I wasn't sure. I appreciate it!

I have carried six figures in my bag and not had any problems. I was once stopped at my home airport carrying a lot of cash (headed to a Florida casino), but it was resolved rather quickly. A couple other times I have been stopped, but it was because lots of bound paper sometimes shows up as something odd on TSA scanners. Twice they stopped me and when they realized it was just cash, they stopped searching. But I have also twice been stopped because I had a couple thick books pressed against each other in my bag.

Ugh. More than one time after a big loss I have asked myself why I'm doing this! Especially those years when I have multiple big losses. These days, I remind myself that its always possible. It makes me gamble even less on any given trip, which is probably a good thing
