Be careful with the uhaul - company is catching on and they may require a lease agreement or home sale, etc. to justify renting to you. Seeing lots of people get their rental canceled at the last second due to that.

i called the u-haul central location and told them rental car prices were high and would be using the van to drive around vegas when i made the arrangements
question i have is what difference does it make to them as to the reason for the rental
would be interested in hearing from anyone who has gone this route

at worst i will just stay downtown the entire trip and take the cx bus to and from the airport

    Nice!

I haven't checked flights out of Philly since March, 2020, but sometimes when I would use that matrix airfare search website, I could check nearby airports. Agreed, usually LaGuardia and JFK were cheaper than PHL.

Last time I flew from Newark was either Air Florida or Peoples Express in the 1980's, lol. Peoples Express would run your credit card in the aisle using one of those manual imprint machines and 4 carbon copies.

Good Luck on your trip and maybe by then the rental car situation will have been sorted out.

    Good deal.
AA basic economy doesn't let you pick an assigned seat unless you pay extra for it?
Was the booking through a 2nd party booking site?
