Kim and I are taking a charter flight to Biloxi in early September and staying at Beau Rivage.

We're looking for food suggestions within walking distance of BR. Like 10 minutes or less.

Breakfast, lunch, or supper. Just wanting to try something that's not in BR or IP.

    Thanks.

Mary Mahoney’s…great food and friendly service for me. I visit every time I’m in town for lunch and dinner a couple times each trip .

Waffle House, right across the street from Beau. A great breakfast place.

^^Sounds hokey but we took the car there every morning from Harrahs - even though my food would be comped at Harrahs. There is also one further down between Beau & Harrahs if you want to walk.

Blind Tiger is across from Harrahs & would be walkable (depending on the person). People love it or hate it. We enjoyed it very much.

Our experience @ Mary Mahoney’s was not that great. Food was cold & flavorless. Service was impeccable. I’d return on my own but my husband won’t go back.

We actually had an excellent meal at Hard Rock Cafe also. I wasn’t keen on going but he wanted to. Food was great. Service was very good. Very surprised. I had expected average overpriced food.

Yes, many options close by, within walking distance.
McElroys us right on the water - basic stuff
    Mary's is good.
Decent sports type bar at Adventures Pub and Spirits

See this map for all the options

Definitely Fill-Up with Billups since it's across the street from the Beau. Next time we're in town, I want to try Adventures Pub & Spirits and the Fillin' Station. These two might be a bit more than 10-minute walk though.

I'll second Mary Mahoney's and add the Half Shell Oyster House if you are looking for seafood.

For a quick cheap lunch, hard to beat Pie Five Pizza in Hard Rock. Ben & Jerry's next door for dessert.

I would second Fillup at Billups across from the Beau for breakfast. We go there once every trip. If you find do find yourself in that direction, we've had some excellent meals at the Bayview Cafe at IP Casino (Boyd).

It’s not Walking but a cheap Uber… I would highly recommend Aunt Jennies Catfish. All you can eat fried catfish and fried shrimp southern style. With cole slaw, biscuits, sweet tea. It’s really really good. Mostly only locals.

Another vote for Half Shell Oyster House - the free standing one is better than the one inside Hard Rock, IMO, and is an easy walk. If you want a casual fun "beach" place right on the sand, Shaggy's has some great fried shrimp and appetizers. Eat out on the deck to enjoy the view. And if you decide on something at the Beau after all, it's hard to beat Stallas and Jia! Have fun!

I have a reservation for Stalla, we'll eat there for sure.

    McIlroys for sure

    Waffle House for breakfast

In 2018 I thought the Hard rock buffet was pretty good...but not sure if they're open yet.

Votes for Sal & Mookies pizza and ice cream for casual eats (skip the bread sticks they suck but the pizza is awesome) and the half shell oyster house a block behind it; not the one in the casino (hard rock I think). The corner half shell is on (about 2 blocks off beach Blvd in line with hard rock entrance) has 2 more places around the same intersection, asian place and a coffee shop with beignets, all good. Rock and roll sushi was pretty interesting in a good way too if you like sushi. We only ate at the one in Gulfport but there is one closer, just not sure how far from BR it is.

Seconded. I love this place. It's as casual as you can get, but the food is good and the beer is cold and cheap.

Mary Mahoney's was as good as we expected. Just the atmosphere is so much nicer than anywhere else in the area. The history is amazing to see. The service was great as was the food. It's directly across the street from Beau.
Also, Magnolia House by Kelly English was a nice surprise being inside Harrah's. Check the days they are open though right now. I was able to use my Diamond Celebration Dinner there.
